Nicholas Spencer came out of the surgery room. He was surprised to see almost all of his family standing before him with their worried-looking faces.

"Why do you guys look so gloomy?" Nicholas Spencer smiled and walked towards his wife. After taking Molly’s hand, he looked again at all of them...

"I feel touched that you are all here, even though tonight is Christmas Eve. You should all stay at home for dinner together...." Nicholas felt apologetic. After a moment of pause for a few breaths, he continued, "My daughter is fine. She will soon be escorted to her room. However, she was still under anesthesia. I’ll let her rest. You all can see her tomorrow."

Everyone was relieved after hearing Nicholas Spencer’s explanation.

"Father, Uncle Collins, you can go home and celebrate the dinner party with the others...." Nicholas said.

"No need. Let’s have dinner here... I have set the table for dinner in one of the empty VIP wardrooms." Doris had discussed this with Molly before. And they agreed to move their family dinner to this hospital.

"Yes, I agree with sister Doris. I also want to wait for Rose until she wakes up..." Amanda said. She would not leave the hospital until she spoke to her niece.

"You brat... don’t send me home. I will stay here. My two granddaughters are injured, and I won’t be able to sleep well at home. Doris, can you prepare a room for me?" asked Old Spencer.

"Yes, I will arrange the room." Doris smiled.

"Doris, I want to stay here too," said Old Collins.

Just like that, a Christmas Dinner for the Collins and Spencer families was held at the hospital. Everyone has also decided to stay the night at the hospital. Luckily, Promise Hospital VIP rooms facilities are just like a hotel.

Next Day

Rose felt her whole body hurt so badly that it felt like all her bones were crushed.

"Did I die? Gosh! God, why did you send me to hell?" Rose silently protested to God. And as soon she opened her eyes, a bright light dazzled her eyes.

"Where am I? I’m in the hospital?" Rose remembered this hospital room when she had to accompany her mother, who was in a coma a few months ago.

"Oh my god!!! Rose, you’re awake? Wow, finally..."

Rose was surprised to hear her aunt Amanda Spencer’s voice. She looked in that direction. How surprised she was to see her aunt and her parents sitting on the sofa and having breakfast.

"I’m not dead? Wow, thank God..." shouted Rose in her heart.

Rose feels very happy. She tried to get up, but suddenly her whole body was writhing in pain. She could feel her muscles feel stiff; she couldn’t move freely. The pain was killing her.

She could only smile wryly, seeing her parents and aunts surrounding her bed.

"Are you feeling better?" Nicholas asked while touching her forehead.

"No, dad! I’m not feeling well. I feel like my whole body is in pain. And my arm..." Rose noticed that she had a cast on her arm. "This is also very painful. Can you give me some painkillers..." Rose’s teary eyes stared at Nicholas. It melted his heart. He nodes.

After a while, Rose finally got out of bed. She joins them for breakfast.

As usual, Molly fed Rose. Meanwhile, Amanda Spencer started talking to Rose about what happened last night — they had Christmas dinner at this hospital, and all the family was also staying there.

Rose was surprised to hear what Amanda Spencer had just told her. "Aunty, so grandpa was also staying here?"

"Yes. Not only your grandpa but old Collins also decided to sleep here. Well, they’ll be here in a moment..."

"A-Auntie... What about Keira? Is she okay?" Rose completely forgot about her cousin. The last time she saw her was when she had let her out of the warehouse to find Oscar.

"She’s fine. My brother and his wife stayed with her all night...." Amanda paused to remember the question that was currently bothering her mind. She stared at Rose before saying, "By the way, what exactly happened? Why was Keira kidnapped? I and the others tried asking her, but she didn’t say anything...."

Rose was stunned.

She can’t answer her aunt’s question. Without Keira’s consent, she wouldn’t say anything because what happened then must have traumatized her cousin. And she guesses Keira was trying to heal her trauma.

"I want to meet Keira. Mom, can I go to visit her now?" Rose stood up from her chair.

"Daughter! Eat first..." Nicholas’ firm voice amazed Rose. This was the first time she heard her father speak to her like that. She immediately sat back down and continued her breakfast.

"I will ask Keira to come here to meet you. But, you have to finish your breakfast first..." Molly said softly. She didn’t want her daughter to go anywhere because she still needed to rest.

"Mom, Dad... sorry to make you worry..." Rose could feel how sad her mother was to know she was hurt so badly. "Sorry to make you cry again, mom...." She has experienced two terrible misfortunes in two consecutive months, making her parents worry about her.

"Everything has passed. The important thing is you are healthy and fine." Molly’s voice trembles. Ever since she found out her daughter had an accident, her heart seemed to want to stop.

"Your mom is right. But daughter, I hope you don’t take such a risk again next time." Nicholas knew very well what happened yesterday. And how his daughter slaughtered over 40 gangsters is beyond words—Anyone who heard it would not believe it.
