That afternoon, Rose and Keira went shopping at the Collins Group’s mall. It’s right beside their office building—Oscar accompanied them as usual.

"Keira, can you suggest to me what to buy for grandpa?"

"Anything, sister... Don’t worry about the price. What matters is your intention to give him. Grandpa is a simple person, so whatever you buy for him, Grandpa will be happy to receive..."

"Hmm... You’re right."

What Keira said was true. But still, Rose couldn’t make up her mind, she was nervous—afraid her Grandpa wouldn’t like the gift she had chosen.

Meanwhile, she had already found a present for her mother and father. Lately, her parents are so adorable—using matching clothes. So, Rose decided to buy them a cute pair of sweatshirts.

"Boss, your grandfather seems to like firearms. Why don’t you give him a gun or rifle?" Oscar, who was following them from behind, also shared his idea.

"Oscar, no one sells rifles at the mall." Keira laughed at Oscar’s extreme suggestion. "Besides, my grandfather’s weapon collection can’t be bought casually..."

"Miss Keira, of course, I know." Oscar laughed. "Well, If you want, I can help you to get rare firearms..." He could contact his people in Europe to send firearms for him.

"Thank you, Oscar, but no need. Giving my grandfather a gun is too ordinary, nothing special. I’m sure many people would give him such a gift..."

"What my sister said is true. Every grandpa’s birthday, he will receive firearms from his friends."

"What about the painting? Elders usually like painting collections..." Oscar suggested again.

"Good idea, but we don’t have much time to look for it. After all, it’s just a casual celebration gift, not a birthday gift..." Keira said.

After giving Rose many ideas, and all of them were rejected, Oscar was lost for words—he followed them around the mall in silence.

Not long after, Keira took Rose to a luxury shop that caught her attention.

"Sis, there’s a watch shop over there. Let’s have a look for a while, just in case there’s a watch that fits Grandpa..."

Rose delight.

She also had the idea of buying a watch for Evan. If there was an interesting watch, she wanted to buy one for her grandfather too.

"Boss, happy shopping... I’ll be waiting for you there..." Oscar pointed to the waiting area. After sitting down, Oscar immediately took out his cell phone.

He has an important task; enlighten his student Oliver who dared to recruit him.

But before he could successfully teach Oliver a lesson, he got shocking news from his underground resource; a Silver Phoenix member got ambushed in New York City.

Instantly Oscar’s body stiffened, remembering that Big Boss was now in New York.

Which team is being attacked?

Oscar was typing fast on his cell phone trying to find info about the incident. A few minutes later his knees immediately went limp.

"Boss in an accident!" Oscar murmurs silently as he makes a secure line to contact Gavin but he doesn’t pick up. Without waiting, he sent a short message.

[Oscar] Gavin, are you guys fine?

Boss Evan’s safety was his biggest concern right now. It causes him distress.

"Boss Evan... must be fine!" He silently speaks to himself.

After waiting for a while there was no reply from Gavin. Obviously, this worried him even more.

Why didn’t Gavin answer? It’s still 11 PM in New York, there’s no way he’s asleep right now unless he’s injured.

Oscar pinched his brows feeling useless and scared.

If only he had brought his laptop, he could hack the CCTV at Boss and Gavin’s current location. Now, he can’t do anything hacking using his phone, he needs a laptop.

While he was worried about Evan’s attack, Oscar’s eyes fell on Rose. She chatted with the shopkeeper, accompanied by Keira who was standing beside her.

Rose’s sweet smile is indeed very beautiful, but what will happen if she finds out her husband has an incident?

Thinking of the sad Rose made Oscar’s head spin.

"Madam boss can’t know!!"

"Should I return to the office for a moment?" The W Tower location is next to this mall, so he can go back to his office for a while. But, remembering his duty to not leave the lady boss, made him confused.

Later...

He suddenly remembered that one of the leaders at the USA office, Wolf. He quickly dialed his number.

"Please pick up, Wolf!!" His heart was restless before knowing Boss Evan’s condition.

"Oscars!? Why did you call me in the middle of the night?" Wolf’s irritated voice came from the other end of the line.

"Brother Wolf! How is he?" Not having time to greet Wolf, he immediately asked about Evan’s condition.

"What are you talking about!?"

"Don’t hide anything from me. I know what’s going on in Brooklyn!"

"H-How do you know?"

"That’s not important. Most importantly, how is he?" Oscar felt like hitting Wolf in the head.

Can he answer her question directly without asking back!?

Damn!!

"He is fine."

"You’re lying!!" If boss Evan was okay, he was now on the plane back to Astington and celebrating Christmas Eve with his wife, right!? Everyone knows that Evan is obsessed with his wife.

"I’m not lying! The Chief is fine, he’s at the Old Master’s house."

"Wolf! If you are still hiding something from me, I will tell his wife right now. You know what will happen if she finds out something bad happened to her husband, right!?"

"To hell with you, Oscar!! How dare you threaten me!?" Wolf couldn’t help but curse this persistent Oscar. He couldn’t say anything to him about this incident because the Chief forbade them to talk about this matter. But, it’s really hard to hide anything from these damn hackers.

"Now tell me the truth!!" An annoyed grin appeared from the corner of Oscar’s lips but a moment later his body froze after hearing that Boss Evan had suffered a severe gunshot wound.

"But you don’t need to worry. Earlier Boss is awake, but now he’s sleeping again. I’ll tell him that you already know about this. And Oscar makes sure no one finds out about this incident, especially Lady Boss."

"I will!"
