Before Sam ended the call, he was surprised to see movement near the cliff; someone approached their car with an assault rifle in hand. Instantly his body was alert to the danger they were in right now.

"Boss! It might not be a simple car accident. Someone tried to kill us, but I can’t explain it now. Please send help right away..." Sam hung up the phone. He immediately took the firearm he had prepared.

"Sam, did you manage to ask for help?" asked Rose after seeing Sam turn off his phone. Rose was confused as to why Sam was able to call someone else, even though earlier she tried to do the same, but she got no telephone signal down here. She could not contact her husband.

Sam didn’t answer Rose’s question right away. He pondered for a moment before looking at her, "Lady boss! Please listen... A guy is coming down from your right. That guy doesn’t mean to help us, but he seems to want to take care of us..." Sam’s voice was low, but Rose could see the concern in his tone.

Confused by Sam’s words, Rose immediately turned to look. How shocked she was to see a large man trying to get down toward their car with an automatic gun hanging on his back.

Rose’s heart skipped a beat.

Isn’t this a common accident? Did someone try to finish them off?

"Now the thing is, I can’t move my legs. So you have to help me to shoot that guy if he gets close. But... make sure you kill him immediately so he won’t have a chance to use his automatic weapon."

There was a conflict in Sam’s heart when he asked Rose to do this. His lady boss is just an ordinary woman. Not a military member or assassin who used to do this. What would happen if this incident haunted her mind? Will she be traumatized?

This reality was a little too much for her heart to bear.

But, if she wanted to stay alive, the only way was to kill the person who tried to kill them.

She had no other choice, so she was forced to agree to what Sam asked.

As Rose moved slightly to take the gun from Sam at that moment, she saw a branch through the windshield pierce Oliver’s shoulder.

She was utterly shocked.

The blood drained from her face, and she could feel her body shaking at the thought of the wood branch going through her chest if Oliver didn’t protect her.

"Oliver..." Rose’s voice trembled as she called his name. She could feel her eyes blur from the tears that had gathered in the corners of her eyes. "W-Why? Why are you so stupid for doing it? You..." Her teeth gritted in anger at their current situation. Angry because of her, Oliver was seriously injured.

Now she knew why Oliver remained where he was—not moving as if he were stuck in a car seat with his head lowered down—a piece of branch pierced his shoulder. She could tell that the wood was holding their car from falling. No wonder this car is slightly tilted forward. She was grateful for the branch, but now Oliver, her best friend, should endure this unbearable pain.

Instantly she felt her heart being torn apart, thinking how painful Oliver was right now; He hadn’t said anything since they fell, but she knew this man was in pain. She could see his tightly closed eyes shaking. There were traces of tears from the corners of his eyes. His mouth, which was starting to turn blue, was tightly shut. His face became pale as if all the blood on his face had left him.

"O-Oliver.... Did you hear me? Please stay alive. Stay with us..." Rose softly said as she took the gun from Sam. "Say something, please!?"

"Silly girl! I’m fine..." Oliver opened his eyes slightly. When he saw the panic in her eyes, he forced a weak smile to comfort her. "Damn!! What’s with that look in your eyes? I’m not that weak! Go, take care of the bastards outside!!!"

Oliver closed his eyes again after using the last of his strength to speak. He could feel his eyes feel very heavy. The pain in his shoulder was unbearable. He couldn’t take the pain anymore. He just needed to sleep and free himself from this eternal pain.

"Ooo... I will!" Anger seemed to erupt from within her. She was going to kill that man who made them like this.

Whoever is behind this attack, Rose will show no mercy to them.
