Rose finished her coffee before she asked.

"Hubby, can I ask you a question?"

"Sure. What is in your mind?"

"I heard you were a talented marksman. And became my grandfather’s apprentice. Is that true?"

Evan chuckled lightly at her question. He was very talented, but that was a long time ago when he was a teenager. Old Spencer wanted to recruit him because he had the potential to become a soldier, but that was impossible for him to do.

"You’re right. I used to be one of your grandpa’s favorite disciples. Since I was a teen, I have been training with him until I grew up and went to college. It was too risky." Evan continued his words after taking a deep breath, "Finally, I stopped training with Old Spencer and started learning to be an entrepreneur. "Ah, now I understand why my grandfather was so disappointed, but he can’t force you either...." said Rose.

"Yes, that’s the reason. But although I did not join the military, I gained a lot of knowledge during my military training with Old Spencer. I became a skilled marksman on pistols and rifles. I am also physically fit and strong enough as a civilian with military combat readiness." He said proudly.

Just before Rose wanted to ask, she had to stop. Rose heard Evan say,

"Wife, may I know your reason why you want to become a sniper?"

Evan wanted to know more about her ability, to answer his curiosity; How did she master this skill so quickly? Though she never touched a gun at all.

Although he was talented, he did not develop as fast as her. His suspicions that his wife was a member of the NONE organization grew.

"Hubby, I think I’ve already told you; I want to have skills to protect myself and exact my revenge when I have to." Rose chuckled because her husband seemed unsure of what she was doing right now. He still thought she would stop doing physical exercises like before.

"Well, you also know why I wanted to learn self-protection; some unfortunate events made me determined to explore this. The decision was made when I was almost kidnapped in Vale City. It has not been turning back for me since..." Said Rose with determination.

There was regret in Rose’s eyes, a regret of stopping training with Evan. If only she continued to train regularly with him, perhaps she wouldn’t need this training as she would have had the foundation as a versatile and skillful soldier.

Hearing that, Rose was tempted. However, when the excitement she had felt while in the Combat Shooting Drill arena appeared in her mind, the temptation suddenly disappeared.

"To be honest, I became interested in becoming a sniper after entering the CSD arena. That experience made me believe that I should master these shooting skills..." Rose’s eyes lit up when she told Evan how she felt at that moment.

Evan heard it silently. There was a worry that appeared in his heart. Worried, Old Spencer wanted to recruit his wife into the military’s plainclothes unit.

It seemed Evan had to find a way to stop Edward Spencer.

But considering how cunning the old man was, who would use any means to recruit his granddaughter, Evan couldn’t help but smile bitterly. The Old Man is also persistent and very patient. So, Evan must have a well-thought-out plan. Something that can make that old man back off immediately to recruiting his wife now or in the future.

Moreover, none of his children were interested in following in his footsteps; Jayson Spencer was more interested in politics, and Nicholas Spencer was only interested in medicine. And Amanda Spencer chose the fashion industry and business, never wanting to join the military.

Evan knew the Old Man’s goal was to recruit his grandchild. The Old Man succeeds in recruiting Sean Spencer. And seeing Rose’s natural talent in shooting made the Old Man’s desire to recruit Rose even stronger.

"Old man... the day you recruit my wife as a military woman is a day you cross over my dead body. You will never successfully recruit my beloved wife to become a military member. Not on my watch. Never!" Evan vows in his heart—he will find a way to stop him.
