Chapter 288: Defeat Feelings

"As for my wedding gift to you, I will give it to you tomorrow..."

Rose, still deep in thought, was taken aback by his words. Slowly, she turned her gaze towards Evan, who stood a few steps before her. For a moment, she just stared at him without saying anything. For some reason, her tongue feels stiff. This man, why does he spoil her so much?

Evan pinched his temples when he saw his wife’s beautiful face seem to seduce him. Slowly, he stepped forward as his hand gently held her face. Their eyes meet.

"No need to thank me, my wife...."

Rose’s whole body instantly felt warm when Evan’s warm lips touched hers. That passionate kiss could bring her body back to life after feeling blue. As their lips parted, and she was still panting, she called out his name, "E-Evan..."

"Ms. Collins! If you call me ’Evan’ again, I will kiss you hard...." He chuckled when he saw her bury her mouth with her small delicate hands. She looks so adorable and just seeing her blushing face makes his body down there awake. Damn!

Rose took a few steps back to avoid him. She could tell by the look in his eyes what this man was thinking. Rose wasn’t going to arouse him. Not tonight when she was so tired.

Gosh! My wife. Do you think you can hold me by taking a few steps back? You can’t escape tonight, my dear wife!

Just before Evan wanted to pull Rose, he heard her ask,

"H-Hubby... didn’t you already give me three properties?" Rose asked. A few days ago, she selected three properties in her favorite cities in several countries.

"That’s because you only chose three of the hundreds of properties I own. And, you also choose the cheapest." Evan took a deep breath as he advanced toward her. He pulled her between his arms. "So, Ms. Collins, I’ll pick a wedding present for you tomorrow..." His whisper sounded like seduction in Rose’s ear.

She was amused. Because she could sense this man, still trying to find a chance to have sex with her.

Talking about the cheapest property, Rose felt defeated.

How can this man say; Penthouse in Central Park, New York? Mansion in the south of France and Villa in Switzerland cheapest property?

She believed the property she chose was costly. Especially the one in Switzerland.

"Hubby, thank you..." Rose could only say that. Because there was no point in rejecting this man. If he wants to give her something, he will find a way until she accepts it.

"Wife, you don’t need to thank me. Just let me make love with you tonight before you go to bed...."

"Evan! You..."

Rose was surprised when his lips pressed against her. He kissed her so hard that Rose was almost out of breath, and her knees felt like jelly. She nearly fell, but her body was already lifted before she knew it. Afraid that Evan may lose his grip over her body, Rose immediately wrapped her arms around Evan’s neck and buried her face in his neck.

She could feel Evan’s quick steps entering the main bedroom. She realized that by now, she had awakened this beast! She couldn’t avoid it anymore, even though she was still tired.

"I want to make love with you now, Ms. Collins. Looking at your parents’ marriage reminds me of our wedding night..." he whispered in her ear. It made her heart race.

"Let me take a shower first..." Rose tried to get away from him as he laid her down on the soft bed.

Her eyes blinked a few times when she watched her husband start to take off his clothes. But, a few seconds later, she saw him stop. His eyes burn as he stares at her.

She froze.

"Wow! That’s a brilliant idea, wife! Let’s take a bath together...." Evan smiled widely and took her hand.

Rose was utterly speechless.

She imagined herself soaking in the warm bath moments before they went to bed. But now, what she imagined had to come to an end. Because she was sure, they would spend the night making love.

The next morning.

Her body was crushed!

That’s how Rose felt when she opened her eyes in the morning. Her lower abdomen and thighs hurt. She couldn’t remember how many times they had made love, and she couldn’t even tell when she had slept. The man really exhausted her.

She looked at Evan’s bedside, but his figure wasn’t there.

Where is he going? Did he leave for work this early?

For a moment, she tried to hear the sound from the bathroom, but there was no sound of splashing water from inside. Also no noise from behind the bedroom door.

The morning was so calm that she could faintly hear the distant sound of birds chirping coming from the slightly open window.

She smiled. Very happy to hear the sounds of nature.

This is it!

This is where she wants to spend the rest of her life. Get away from the city’s noise and enjoy this mountain’s natural beauty.

Before long, Rose slowly got out of bed, but as soon as her feet touched the marble floor, it was like stepping on broken glass. The pain is excruciating. She fell, sitting on the edge of the bed. Her eyes looked at the floor, looking for the broken glass. She didn’t see the shard there. But why was the pain she felt so real?

"Damn, Evan Collins! You are such a beast!!" She let out gasps as she scolds her husband.

Now she understood why her husband was constantly nagging her to increase her stamina. She hasn’t been able to match his passionate lovemaking.

After a while, Rose tried to get up again. This time her legs have improved. She immediately walked to the bathroom and did her morning routine.

She had no plans to leave the house today. She would just stay at home while recovering her strength. She also wanted to explore this house. And if she feels better, she wants to climb to the top of the mountain in the afternoon.

Her goal now is to increase her stamina. This is something she had to do immediately. Otherwise, she would feel like this every morning.
