Chapter 280: Parent’s Wedding (1)

"Hey, don’t cry." Molly smiled as she wiped her daughter’s tears. After some time, she continued her words, "Was I sad when I let you go with Evan? Yes, I was sad. But... I only felt that way for a moment because I realized I didn’t lose my daughter, but I got a son-in-law, Evan. And soon, I will also have a cute grandchild...."

Rose felt like something had hit her head, her sadness fading from her mind. She smiled between her tears when she saw her mother smiling lovingly at her. What her mother said was true. She didn’t lose her best friend, but now she has a new one, her father.

Even though it’s only been a few weeks, her father has already shown his role as the ideal father Rose always dreams of. He really protects her and loves her.

"So now, stop feeling jealous of your father!"

"How did you know I was jealous of dad?" Rose gasped.

"Of course, I know. Well, not only me but everyone knows..."

"Huh!? Does my father know too?"

"Yes, he knows. Well, actually, you’re not the only one who is often jealous. Your father sometimes gets jealous of you if I spend my time with you...." Molly laughed at the thought that she now had to deal with two jealous people in her life.

Rose couldn’t help but laugh when she found out her father was jealous of her. She found it funny. Is her father the same as her jealous husband!?

"Gosh! How could dad be jealous of me?"

"My daughter, you must remember. I’m still your best friend. If one day you need me, you can come to me anytime. Don’t ever think I will change my attitude towards you after marrying your father. That will never happen. You are my daughter. And Nick is my husband, your real father..."

"I know, Mother. I know..." Rose knew that it was just that sometimes her childish feelings surfaced.

"That’s good if you understand." Molly smiled as she caressed her daughter’s soft cheek, "Alright! Let’s sleep! We have a lot to do tomorrow." She said, then turned off the light.

Molly yawned, her eyes heavy, but her mind was still too busy thinking about her wedding day with Nick. But moments later, she opened her eyes again when she suddenly remembered the conversation with her daughter about pregnancy.

"Rose! Did you sleep?" Not hearing her daughter’s answer, Molly continued, "Earlier, my son-in-law said you were postponing having children. Whose idea was that?" She was curious, wondering if it was her daughter who wanted it. If so, she wants to know why.

Rose, who was half asleep, faintly heard her mother’s words. Instantly the drowsiness disappeared. But she didn’t want to talk about pregnancy. Not now. She was worried that her answer would upset her mother. She will wait until the wedding is over and will tell her everything.

Slowly Rose closed her eyes tightly again, pretending to sleep, avoiding her mother.

The Next Morning.

When Rose opened her eyes, she was surprised because she didn’t feel like she was in her mother’s room. Squinting, she looked at the white ceiling, no chandelier hanging above it.

"This is my room!" Rose quietly muttered. Then, she looked to the side of her bed and was surprised to see Evan sleeping right beside her with his half-naked body facing her.

How can she end up sleeping here? Didn’t she sleep with her mother last night?

Rose tries to regain her memory, but she fails. Her last memory was; that she avoided talking to her mother about her pregnancy.

This is weird!

Did she sleepwalk and move into her room because she missed her husband?

"Good morning, hubby..." Rose smiled as she watched Evan’s eyes slowly open. He looks very vulnerable and approachable when he wakes up like this. It was very different when he was dealing with his employees.

"This is not fair! Why do you still look handsome even though you just woke up now?" Rose continued her words as she buried her face in her hands.

Evan smiled at his adorable wife. He pulled her into his arms and pressed her into his body.

"Good morning, sweetheart!" His hoarse voice made Rose gulp. He sounded so sexy that it made her heart beat fast.

Rose froze in his arms, not daring to move, afraid this beast would wake up and devour her. This morning, they didn’t have time to have sex.

"Hubby, how can I sleep here?" Rose looked up to see his face.

"You won’t believe what happened last night."

"W-What happened?" Rose was curious, seeing Evan laughing.

"Well, your father called me after midnight. He asked me to move you ..."

Rose was astonished.

"I thought, dad, back to Spencer’s house? How could he still be in this house?" Rose was confused because last night, when the others said goodbye, her father also left the house.

"No. Your father was actually sleeping in the guest room downstairs. He asked me to move you when he found out you were asleep."

"Gosh! My dad can’t wait, huh!?" Rose chuckled, remembering her mother telling her that her father was often jealous of her, too, "Gee, looks like we don’t have to wait for him anymore to pick up mom. He’s already here..."

"No. I think your father was back at Spencer’s house early in the morning ..." Evan heard the car move before sunrise. He believed it must be his father-in-law sneaking up.

"That cunning old man! I didn’t expect him to be this smart, hahaha...."

"Wife! They’re newlyweds, so you have to be more sensitive. Don’t ever try to separate them..." Evan whispered in her ear, arousing Rose with his warm and minty fresh breath. She giggled when Evan’s hand started to touch her g-spot.

"Evan, stop! It’s almost seven in the morning. We have to hurry!" She pushed Evan and immediately got out of bed.

It feels weird attending her parents’ wedding, but Rose can’t hide how happy she is for them.
