Seeing Iris blush, Xavier let out a chuckle. He shifted his gaze to Cassandra.

"Grandma Gray, I will head to campus early with Iris. There’s something we need to check at the library." Xavier’s words to Cassandra left Iris perplexed.

Iris looked at Xavier as if to question his statement — there’s no such thing they will go to the library today. Nevertheless, Xavier paid her confusion no heed.

"Go on, Iris. Change into your proper clothes quickly, or we’ll be late," Xavier advised while giving her back a gentle stroke. The unexpected touch caught her off guard.

Without saying a word, Iris promptly rose from her chair and ascended to the second floor, simultaneously scolding Xavier in her thoughts.

"Goodness! Why is he becoming more serious about his role as my boyfriend? He’s becoming accustomed to physical contact. Will he eventually even kiss me—" Iris mumbles, but it trails off when she notices that Xavier has followed her up to the second floor.

Her face reddened as she saw him walking closer with a faint smile illuminating his eyes.

’Oh no! I’m in trouble now! Did he hear what I said?’ She felt a profound sense of embarrassment this time. She wished she had chosen the teleportation ability just so she could vanish from his sight.

"W-Why did you come up here?" Iris asked, her voice curt.

"Grandma told me to come up here," Xavier explained, pausing a step in front of her. "Why do you seem so tense and blushed, Iris?" he asked.

Didn’t hear her response, Xavier gently raised his hand, touched her chin, and guided her gaze toward his face. Their faces were so close that Iris could feel his cool breath brushing softly against her cheek.

She blinked repeatedly as her eyes met his commanding golden gaze. She found herself immobilized, her body seemingly rejecting her brain’s commands to step back.

"Do you want me to kiss you?" Xavier’s voice held such allure that it intensified the chaotic rhythm of her heart, which had already been beating erratically.

She parted her lips, attempting to say something, but her words seemed to betray her; not a single sentence escaped her lips. Suddenly, she sensed his face drawing even nearer, and realizing he was about to kiss her, she shut her eyes abruptly, overwhelmed by shyness.

Iris tried to calm herself down to ease her guilt for kissing this teenager.

Iris dared not move, staying rooted to her spot. She contented herself with feasting her eyes upon his handsome face.

Yet, while Iris admired this God-perfect creature, Xavier’s eyes gradually opened, his shining golden eyes locking onto hers.

Caught off guard, she flinched, her attention quickly darting to the window behind him. "I’m ready. Let’s go!" she said, her voice sounding with a hint of urgency.

Xavier’s smile broadened as he looked at the shy young woman before him. She radiates beauty, her attire now even more reminiscent of his dark-colored clothes. Though her clothes were similar to yesterday’s, today, she wore a light gray overcoat and black stylish ankle boots.

"Let’s go," Xavier replied, taking steps toward the stairs. He passed by Iris, who remained rooted to her position, avoiding his gaze. Her timidity and sulky expression amused him.

Iris snapped out of her daze, realizing Xavier had already begun his descent downstairs. Swiftly, she followed him while putting her black backpack over her shoulder, carrying her laptop and other essentials.

After bidding farewell to her grandmother, Iris trailed Xavier to the parking area in front of Gray Cafe, heading toward his car.
