Xyronos did not answer Sebastian’s question. However, the anger in his eyes made Sebastian understand that Lady Iris’s husband was Xavier, their king’s enemy.

"Your grace, what is your plan?"

’My plan?’ Xyronos asked himself.

This question had been on his mind ever since he found her. Even though Iris already has a husband, his plan remains the same: he will make Iris his bride again.

He is confident that he can make it happen because, in this lower realm, her parents will no longer interfere. And he doesn’t care about Xavier either. This time, he would not lose to him. He would definitely make his brother suffer to avenge his past defeat.

Before Xyronos wanted to answer Sebastian, something crossed his mind. ’F-Father!?’ Just whispering his father’s name made his heart tight.

Unable to suppress the anger inside him, his hand shot up into the air as if he were writing an invisible rune with his finger — he needed to talk to his father to make a deal.

What Xyronos is doing shocked Sebastian. He almost falls as he feels his knee slowly turn into jelly. He knows for sure what Xyronos does. He summoned someone that they should avoid the most.

Sebastian’s hand grew cold as his eyes looked at the golden light slowly appearing in front of Xyronos.

’We’re dead now! Why did he call his father to this place!?’ Sebastian talked to himself. He was too scared to ask Xyronos. He couldn’t stay in this room any longer, or he would die if he witnessed it.

"Your grace, I will wait outside," Sebastian said. Then, he immediately disappeared.

Xyronos didn’t hear what Sebastian said; he was too immersed in what he was doing now, calling his father after so many years. This was the first time they would meet again after his miserable defeat by his older brother. Now, he wants to make a deal with his father.

The room became blind with a bright light dominated by gold in a particular direction. Not long after, a young man with short hair appeared with an annoyed expression.

But when he saw Xyronos’ emotional face, his annoyance turned into a big smile.

"My son, you finally remember this old man," Xiu’s calm and dignified voice sounded in the room. He appeared right before Xyronos, and a few moments later, Xyronos was in his arms.

"You look healthy, my son. This old man is delighted to know that..." Xiu continued his words; a few seconds later, he slowly released his hug.

Xyronos opened his mouth to vent his frustration, but strangely, no sound exited. He couldn’t speak. Instead, his body moved without his will; then, he found himself sitting on the sofa, facing his father.

"How could you appear younger than us, Father?"

Xiu chuckled, clapping his hands before answering Xyronos. "Your father was fine. Thank you for asking."

Xyronos was at a complete loss for words. How could he ask his father like that? He was the creator of this place. He would be fine as long as he wanted it, too.

When Xiu saw his son not saying anything, he continued, "I’m just following the trend in this place. They like this handsome, youthful face and style."

Xyronos, "..."

"Why did you finally call me?" Xiu asked again.

"You already know what’s on my mind. I don’t need to explain." Xyronos took a deep sigh.

"Hahaha," Xiu’s happy laughter rang through the room. "Can we talk just like people in this realm? Beside this old man, miss your voice, my son..."

Xyronos could only sigh deeply, unable to say no to his father. "I want you to promise me something," His voice was firm and cold. "Don’t interfere in my fight with him. I want to finish this without you... standing between us."

Silence hung in the air after Xyronos finished his sentence.

Xiu didn’t answer him immediately, but he seemed to be thinking about something. However, a faint smile appeared on the edge of his lips after he saw his stubborn son fidgeting in his chair.

"My dear son, I’m sure you already know my answer. Am I right?" Xiu asked while smiling.

Xyronos’ hands clenched into tight fists. Of course, he knows. His father only asked him one thing: to leave the Demon Race and return to the upper realm to carry out his actual duties.

"It seems you still haven’t changed after thousands of years, Xy..." There was disappointment in Xiu’s tone, seeing that Xyronos didn’t say anything. Still, he could feel the emotions and hear what was going through his son’s mind.

"Father..."

"It’s useless if you call me and still harbor that intention, Xyronos!" Xiu’s voice rises, feeling slightly angry.

"Why do you hate me so much after I took over the Demon Race?" Xyronos eyes sharply, looking at Xiu. "Father, they are your creation... They are just like any other race," Xyronos said, trying to speak calmly, but the tremor in his voice made him file.

"I’m not going to talk about this, Xy. You already know what my answer is. And my answer is still the same." Xiu exhaled deeply.

Before Xyronos opened his mouth, Xiu continued, "What I’m going to say... It would be best if you remembered this is your second chance. Choose between Iris or this race!?"

Xyronos’ heart, which was filled with anger, suddenly froze after hearing Iris’ name.

"If you abandon everything regarding the Demon Race, I promise you... I will not interfere in your dispute with your brother." Xiu calmly said, but Xyronos grinned his teeth.

Xiu continues, "If you worry about the Demon Race, I guarantee that the Demon Race will get their land back in the middle realm, so you don’t need to worry about them."

"Are you serious about that?" Xyronos finally asked. He doubted his father because, in the past, he requested Xavier to eradicate the Demon Race.

"I never intended to eradicate them. At that time, I sent Xavier to teach you so that you would return to the upper realm." Xiu said seriously.

"But he still killed them and forced them to run to this place, Father!" Xyronos’ voice shook with anger.
