"X-Xavier, are you awake?" Iris stammered, filled with happiness. Finally, Xavier opened his eyes.

However, seeing Xavier’s eyes turn crimson worried her. She knew when his eyes turned crimson, it meant his killing intent arose. Someone flared his anger.

Iris smiled while shaking her head. "No. It didn’t hurt... I’m ok. I feel better now..."

A shocked expression gradually faded from Xavier’s face; he smiled lovingly at her while smoothing her hair, slightly covering her face. He didn’t say anything for a moment but just stared at her in silence, wanting to satisfy his eyes, looking at her flawless face.

After a while, his fingers stopped on her red lips. He stroked them gently, feeling her warmth, "Iris, I want you to promise me—"

"Promise? What promise?" Iris asked, confused when she heard his hanging sentence.
