Iris’s heart started beating faster than usual. She tried not to interrupt him even though she wanted to ask another question.

"When I first encountered you in this realm, I doubted whether you were the same person because you lacked Lady Iris’ aura. However, when I met you again in Orion City, I confirmed your identity as the same person because your aura changed gradually," Lucian paused, taking a deep breath, looking eager to reveal the truth.

He continues, "And until today, the aura from your previous life appears stronger. If someone from the Middle Realm who personally knew you laid eyes on you, they would immediately recognize you as Lady Iris Gray, the princess from the Grayland Kingdom."

Iris was utterly shocked.

’Did I hear you wrong?’ she wondered while looking at Lucian. When she saw his serious expression, she couldn’t help but ask, "L-Lucian, you said I once a princess!?"

It’s hard for her to believe what she heard because she didn’t feel any trace of the royal blood on her body at all. She also could see from young Iris’s memories that she didn’t have memories about it either.

Lucian explained, "You are from the middle realm, and your father is one of the rulers there. Your family belongs to the witch race." He paused slightly and raised an eyebrow, curious how far she knew about the middle realm.

Upon learning about her royal lineage in the Middle Realm, Iris felt a chill run through her hands. The news left her unsure of how to react. Should she feel happy, or is this something that would trouble her? She was utterly speechless.

Observing her confused state, Lucian continued to speak, "Do you know about the races in the Middle-earth?"

"Yes. Xavier already told me about it. There is no ordinary human life there, and the race differs from here..." Iris answered.

What she had heard from Xavier felt unreal. He had explained that creatures like vampires, witches, demons, angels, and many others, which existed in the Middle Realm, had no presence in this lower realm. All these diverse creatures coexist peacefully, similar to the human race on Earth, despite originating from different countries.

Just listening to Xavier’s story sparked a strong desire in her to visit Middle-earth. And now, knowing she was from there and part of the royal family added to her curiosity, making her eager to travel there immediately.

Iris glanced at Lucian, eager to ask him how to return to the Middle Realm. Yet, before she could speak, Lucian began talking.

"But, Iris... Actually, you died a long time ago," Lucian hesitated to continue his words, sensing her shock.

Iris was taken aback upon hearing about her death in the Middle Realm. Her confusion deepened as thoughts raced through her mind. If she had died long ago, how was she alive here?

Her gaze wandered elsewhere as she was thinking deeply. After a moment lost in her thoughts, Iris looked back at Lucian and asked, "If I died long ago, why am I appearing here with no memories of my past life in the Middle Realm!?"

Lucian struggled to respond to the question directed at him. He also couldn’t understand why Iris had been reincarnated in this world without any memories of her past life yet retained the same aura as Lady Iris Gray. Despite his attempts to seek answers, he hadn’t found any.

After thinking, Lucian could only say, "You’re aware that you were reborn, aren’t you?" Seeing Iris nod, he continued, "That’s what happened. You were reborn in this lower realm... Maybe your memories are still sealed, just like what happened to Xavier. He can’t remember you..."

Still puzzled by his explanation, she nervously asked again, "Lucian, are you certain you didn’t mistake someone else? Maybe I’m not Lady Iris Gray from the middle realm!?" She awaited Lucian’s answer with a mix of nervousness and worry.

Lucian shook his head gently before saying, "I’m certain it was you. I’d never mistake someone’s unique aura. But I’m uncertain about what occurs after you die in the Middle Realm."

Iris frowned in response.

"However," Lucian continued, "If I had to speculate, you were reborn several times in this place as a regular human without your memories from the middle realm," he patiently explained.

Iris felt even more puzzled after hearing Lucian’s explanation. She had never fathomed that she might have been reborn as Iris Gray multiple times on Earth.

"Lucian, do cases like this happen often? Or is it just me?" Iris felt like everything Lucian said was still difficult for her to understand.

"I don’t know. That’s just my assumption. However, there is a possibility that God arranged it for you. Because you can’t possibly move your soul into someone else’s body without dark magic—" Lucian paused when he remembered Demon King, who practiced this method. He split his soul and came back alive in this lower realm.

Iris was once again lost in her own thoughts, trying to figure out what happened to her in a few months. Her rebirth to this young Iris’s body must be God who arranged that, so she is no longer born as usual, as a human baby, but her soul moves to Young Iris Gray.

Thinking about that possibility, enough to make her goosebumps — God sent her to young Iris’s body because of Xavier Darkwood.

Before Iris could ask Lucian about her relationship with Xavier, she saw him speak again.

"But in your case, it’s different. You were born like an ordinary human being. It’s just that in your last death, God intervened. He sends your soul to this—"

"I know," Iris spoke before he could finish his words. She smiles faintly at Lucian, who frowns, staring at her, "My rebirth this time was related to Xavier Darkwood... God, send me to this country to meet with him, right?"

"Perhaps," Lucian faintly responded.

Iris maintains her smile but inwardly feels thrilled to know about her relationship with Xavier.

"Lucian, please tell me, what was my relationship with Xavier Darkwood in the past?"
