As Justin and Iris exchanged words, the five people in the room were bewildered by these four newcomers barging in as if they owned the place.

They had been ignoring everyone since they entered. Not even the oblivious, ugly girl paid them any attention; she was too absorbed in locking eyes with the pale boy beside her.

Who the heck were these people!?

Unable to restrain, one of the men yelled, "Are you all completely clueless? Ever know how to knock on the door?" he barked, glaring sharply at the group.

Iris was distracted by the man’s outburst. She shifted her gaze from Justin and looked at him. She chuckled inwardly, looking at that man. She clearly remembers that man was her subordinate.

Her sinister smile slowly emerged across Iris’ lips. If this man were her friend, she’d give him a knock on the head to teach him a lesson for yelling at her. But he wasn’t her friend. So, she’d do the next best thing—erase him from this world, in other words, kill him.

’Just you wait, ugly Demon! I’ll deal with you later...’ she muttered.

Iris redirected her gaze from the obnoxious man to fake Eric, wearing a warm smile, pretending she was thrilled to meet him.

Fake Eric looked at them and asked, "Who are you?" Confusion flickered through his gaze.

"Huh!? Boss..." Iris finally addressed him, raising her eyebrow as if confused by his question. "Did someone just whack your head, and you lost your memory?" she joked.

Eric’s confusion deepened. He stared at the short-haired woman without blinking as though he wished he could peer into her mind to figure her out. Who was she? He couldn’t recall meeting this girl after he pretended to be Eric and took over this place as their base camp.

Iris couldn’t help but chuckle in her heart. She sensed the fake Eric trying to manipulate her mind with his eyes, but of course, she had anticipated it, so he couldn’t. And he’d never succeed.

’What a daft demon. You’ll never control my mind...’ She felt a surge of joy because ever since she entered the room, she knew her mind control abilities surpassed this Demon’s, not just his but all four evil beings in the room.

Seeing the shocked expression on Eric’s face, she continued, "Gosh, boss! Is it true? Tell me... Who did that? I’m heading there to take them down. How dare they make you suffer!?"

The room fell into complete silence. The five evil creatures in the room were utterly bewildered. They had never seen this girl; she hadn’t been here since they took over.

Fake Eric’s face darkened when he couldn’t control the short, black-haired girl’s mind and the three men who entered with her. What puzzled him was that the three men had a human aura, weaklings. It meant they were indeed part of this guild.

Without shifting his gaze from the four people before him, he asked the others in the room using their mental mind link, ’Do you guys know who this ugly woman is?’

’I’ve never seen her before. And she seems close to you...’ one man replied.

’Me neither. I’ve never seen them,’ added another.

’They seem to have just returned after a mission abroad.’

’Does Eric have another team that hasn’t returned after months?’ the white-haired man asked.

Fake Eric cursed inwardly as his gaze fell on the black-haired woman. ’I don’t know. I didn’t have Eric’s memories. And, what the hell... This girl is so ugly. How could that idiot Eric hire someone like her? She’ll ruin Shadow Guild’s reputation, won’t she?’

Though they communicate telepathically, Justin and the two vampires overhear what the evil creatures say. They could listen in because this demon and dark witch’s mental capacity was way below theirs.

Justin was almost cracking up hearing the fake Eric’s words. He stole a glance at Iris and silently agreed with fake Eric. Her disguise was hideous.

He pressed his lips together, observing the situation in silence.

The insult continues, ’Bro, even though she’s ugly, her body looks damn hot! I wouldn’t mind...’ the white-haired man blurted out, unable to contain his excitement. Laughter echoed in the room, joined by the other man.

"Bwahahaha..."

"Hahaha..."

"Haha..."

Justin couldn’t hold back his anger; he wanted to take down all these scoundrels. He glanced at Iris, seeking permission to act.

’Iris, did you hear what they’re saying?’ Justin’s voice echoed in her mind.

’Hmm, I hear their insults. And it’s making me change my plan," Iris’s voice sounded cold in Justin’s mind. ’I will kill them all...’

Justin was taken aback. He sensed her growing anger. Her playful demeanor faded, replaced by a chilling aura. Unable to contain himself, he asked, ’You’re kidding, right?’

’I am always serious when it comes to taking someone else’s life. I never joke about it.’ Iris said as she summoned her golden gun. Without blinking, she shot the white-haired man. He was the Demon in disguise as her subordinate.

Bang!

Instantly, the man turned to ash, shocking the remaining four men. They all gasped in shock, looking at the ugly girl who could turn a demon into an ash with her golden gun.

"What the hell, how could she have a powerful magic gun!? Guys, run! Or you’ll perish..." one of the dark witches shouted while attempting to flee. But Justin made a move.

’Iris, I’ll take care of this one. You can’t kill him!’ Justin shouted and vanished. He appeared before the dark witch. Swiftly, his mighty hand reached the man’s heart and took it out.

"Die!" Justin hissed. The dark witch instantly dies in his hand. He threw away the lifeless body onto the floor, and the metallic scent of blood filled the room.

Iris couldn’t help but roll her eyes, watching Justin steal her prey. Ugh!

While Iris remained composed, the remaining three Demons were in shock after witnessing their comrade turn into ashes and their ally, the witch, die after his heart was ripped out. And the warning about the magic gun makes them even more unnerved.
