The location is in a remote area, far from residential zones. Only a few cars passed on the main road before the guild.

Iris glanced at Xavier, who stood tall beside her, "Aren’t you concerned that they’ll notice your strength, Xavier?" she asked, worried that Xavier might draw attention when opening the magic barrier for them.

Xavier, gazing in a specific direction, turned his focus to Iris. "No one can detect my presence unless I allow it," he said casually, but Iris sensed that he might be bluffing.

"This magic barrier is so weak. How could Justin claim it to be strong?" Xavier couldn’t help but feel annoyed. "I don’t need my strength to break through this barrier."

Iris was stunned.

"So, you don’t need to worry about me, darling..." He ruffled Iris’ hair gently.

Iris looked at him, "Xavier, are you that powerful?" She had never witnessed him using his abilities and his power.

So far, all Iris knew was that this man could go wherever he wanted in this world. He only needed to blink, and he would arrive wherever he wanted.

"Why are you shaking your head? You don’t believe me?"

Just as Iris was about to admit she believed him, she suddenly felt Justin’s aura appear behind them.

"Xavier, they’re here..." Iris felt relieved. She no longer had to continue their conversation about his power. "Could you please open the barrier for us?"

Then, she glanced at Justin, who had brought two middle-aged vampires. She had never seen the two of them before, but if Xavier allowed them to come, they must be his trusted person.

"Alright," Xavier responded, his hands swaying in the air before he turned to Iris, enveloping her with the strength of his arms as he drew her close.

Iris felt surprised but didn’t resist his sudden intimacy; she had grown accustomed to it. Her reaction was a small smile, but she couldn’t help noticing Justin’s widened eyes as he glanced at them.

Leaning closer to Iris, Xavier whispered, "Iris, don’t worry. Even though you can’t see me, I’ll always be watching over you, ensuring your safety..."

"Thank you, I—" Before she could finish, Xavier’s sudden, chilly lips met hers. His unexpected kiss made her legs wobble as if they were jelly. She wrapped her arms around his neck and returned his kiss with the same passion.

Feeling embarrassed to meet his gaze when their lips parted, Iris buried her face in his chest, scolding him silently in her mind.

’Next time, please avoid doing this when others are nearby, Xavier...’

"Why are you feeling shy? We’re married." Xavier released his embrace and urged her to meet his eyes. "There’s no one around..."

"Huh!?" Iris looked around and was startled to find that Justin and the two middle-aged vampires were nowhere in sight. "Where did they go?"

"Looks like they are already going inside..." Xavier smiled, but that smile slowly faded out like a candle in a storm once he caught sight of her furious gaze. "Ugh, darling, you should start your walk now. Justin might kill that fake Eric before you get there... Best of luck."

Iris opened her mouth, ready to give him a piece of her mind, but Xavier had vanished into thin air.

"Jeez..." Iris sighed deeply, scanning her surroundings. "We’ll chat later at home, Mr. Darkwood!" she said, fully aware Xavier was probably still hearing her.

After a few moments of silence, she focused on detecting Justin’s aura. It didn’t take long for her to pinpoint his location. In a blink, she appeared right behind him.

"Can’t you be a tad more patient, Justin!?" Iris scolded.

Justin slowed his pace, strolling alongside her. His lips twitched into a sly grin before he said, "Tsk! Tsk! Milady, getting all pro at public kisses, huh..."

Iris knew this shameless Justin would tease her.

"Oh, for heaven’s sake, find your own sweetheart, Justin. Then you’ll understand the thrill of a public kiss—like soaring in the sky and landing on cloud nine, craving more..." She blurted that out, just impulsively wanting to teach this clueless Justin.

Little did she know she was stepping into Xavier’s trap.

’Ms. Darkwood, I feel the same way...’ Xavier’s voice echoed in her mind, startling her. ’We’ll kiss in public more often.’
