Chapter 114: Watching Free Show

The woman’s shock deepened when she saw a necklace in the man’s hand. "Why do I have a necklace?" she asked again, looking at her husband for answers. "Did you put this necklace on me? When?"

"No. I didn’t even know you wore that thing. Where did you find that?" the man asked, just as confused as his wife. The woman frowned while shaking her head.

Xavier and Niles, witnessing everything, became even more convinced that these two were telling the truth. So, they assume a witch had manipulated their minds.

Now, there was no other way but to read their past before coming to this Lonely Mountain. He needed to check who they had encountered.

Xavier was sure he could read their minds if the magical object were taken from their body.

’My lord, I’m done...’

’Niles, that guy was wearing the same thing.’ Xavier said calmly. He was sure this man was also wearing a magical item that prevented him from accessing his mind.

Without waiting, Niles approached the man and waved his hand; the man’s upper clothes opened, and Niles saw the same necklace hanging around his neck.

"Shit! I’m wearing a necklace too. Since when was this necklace here?" the man asked, confused. But no one could answer his question. He could only stare at his wife, who looked at him, mirroring his expression, confused.

After Niles took both pendants, Xavier appeared right between the man and the woman, surprising them.

"W-Who are you?" the man asked in confusion, feeling horror as he witnessed this sudden appearance near him before he knew it as if he had just popped up in thin air.

What frightened him even more was that the aura around this young man was so freaking cold that he could feel his skin turn frosty.

Xavier didn’t bother to answer his curiosity; he placed his hand on the man’s head and closed his eyes. He tried to read this man’s memories and wanted to know how they could use that powerful magic pendant.

A few moments later, Xavier’s eyes opened. His eyes were no longer crimson and had returned to their usual golden yellow, but his worried expression remained. He didn’t immediately leave the place but did the same thing to the woman — he read her memories. A few minutes later, he opened his eyes and looked at Niles.

’Place that pendant in the usual place! Make sure no one touches it!’

’Consider it done, milord.’

’Take care of them! I have something important I have to attend to!’ Xavier said.

’I’m sorry, Milord, but I need to clarify something... by taking care of them, do you mean I should kill them?’ Niles asked, confused by his vague instruction.

Xavier frowned, looking at Niles. He tilted his head a little, rubbing his eyebrows as if he were disappointed upon hearing Niles’s question. ’Niles, since when have you seen me take the lives of innocent people?’

Niles silently gulped, regretting asking him like that. He knew Xavier had never once instructed them directly to kill innocent people, and he had never seen Xavier take someone else’s life too. And this was also why they never drank human blood but changed it to beasts’ blood. This was contrary to their nature as creatures who survived by killing humans.

’Apologies, Milord,’ Niles said in a hurry. ’I will do as you said.’ Once he looked, his lord vanished from the room. He turned to see the twin guards who stood at the corner with Justin.

After he instructed the guard to take care of these couples, he asked Justin to follow him upstairs.

At a certain hotel in Darkhill City,

Iris stood in front of room #510. Gavriel stood beside her in his invisible form, leaning against the wall with his eyes fixed on the room.

A faint smile graced his handsome face before he said, ’Can you kill him after they make out? It would be a waste if we didn’t enjoy the free show...’ He glances at Iris.

Instantly, Iris turned to give him an annoyed gaze. ’You! How shameless... why do you enjoy this kind of show?’

’Tsk! Tsk! Iris Gray, you are not a child. You are an adult now... How could you not like that kind of... Oh no!’ Gavriel pretended to be shocked before continuing his words, ’Don’t tell me you and your boyfriend haven’t yet—’

’SHUT UP!’ Iris snapped. She tried hard, holding her annoyance. But instead of stopping, Gavriel smiled playfully at her, making her even more angry.

Iris could only close her eyes and take a deep breath.

’Heaven! If I had to look at his face for another second, my emotions would’ve gone out of control. Please... Please... God, assign this man to other people...’ She silently prayed to God while trying to ignore Gavriel as much as she could.

’Lady Iris, you have to take action now. If you delay any minutes, when you enter their room, they will already—’ Gavriel didn’t finish his words as he watched her walk towards the door and open it with her card. ’Good girl!’ he chuckled and disappeared from his place.

He appeared back in the room, then walked to the corner and sat on the sofa, watching; naked Dudley Velcoro was now on top of the young naked woman, who was now letting out a noisy moan as Dudley’s hands played with her chest.

But...

Too bad the show he enjoyed suddenly stopped when Iris entered the room, surprising Dudley.

Dudley stopped playing with Ruby’s soft chest and turned to look at Iris with a frown on his forehead.

"Who are you?" Dudley asked, puzzled. He couldn’t believe a woman had entered their room. Ruby, beneath him, was also shocked, looking at the young woman in their room. She covered her body with a blanket and looked at Dudley in confusion.

"You know her?" Dudley asked Ruby. She immediately shook her head.

Dudley jumped from the bed with his naked body and, facing Iris in fury, said, "Who the hell are you? Who sent you here?" He roared while walking towards her.

Iris calmly smiled while summoning her Golden Gun and pointed it at his chest. "One step closer, say goodbye to your life, Mr. Dudley Velcoro!"
