Chapter 173: Chapter 162: School Starts
"Luo Qianqian, I’ve told you three times, get up!!!" Luo Shufan yanked his sister’s blanket, but she just covered herself with a pillow and continued sleeping, ignoring all his calls.
"Luo Qianqian, you’re going to be late!!!"
"Luo Qianqian, hurry up and get out of bed!!!"
"Eat!!! Finish your food!!!"
The Luo family’s morning burst with the energetic shouts from Luo Shufan, who only relaxed when he finally saw his sister eating at the breakfast table, and sat down to drink some water. Yelling that early in the morning was very demanding, and he wasn’t an artist who needed to keep his voice in check.
"Brother, if you don’t change into your uniform now, you might be late." Luo Qianqian said lazily after finishing eating, with still some time left, what was the rush?
"Huh?" It was only then that Luo Shufan realized he was still in his pajamas, so he quickly changed and left the house with his sister, locking the door behind them.
"What time do you finish school, and what are we eating tonight? Send me a message at noon." As the bus heading to his sister’s school approached, Luo Shufan did not forget to give these instructions, watching her nod before slowly making his way to school.
Luo Qianqian looked at the army of uniforms on the bus and really missed it. Just the thought of He Wenyu and Zhao Wenxuan upset her. Although Zhao Wenxuan was very good to He Wenyu at the beginning, just like in the past life, he became selfish over time, only knowing how to take without giving. Wondering if the financially dependent pair could make it far, Luo Qianqian sighed again.
"I knew it was you, what’s with the sighing? Didn’t do your homework? That’s not the style of our grade’s top student." The speaker was Gu Yanzhi’s friend from Class One, who happened to be on the same bus, to which Luo Qianqian responded with a light laugh.
"Oh, you’re on this bus too." Luo Qianqian took a look at the boy but couldn’t remember his name, so she just feigned ignorance with a smile.
"Yeah, got up late today. I could have walked, but luckily, I got to meet our top scholar." The boy scratched his head and chuckled then suddenly remembered and said, "Happy New Year."
Luo Qianqian blinked, "Happy New Year, no red packets though."
"By the way, aren’t you thinking about changing classes?" The boy looked at Luo Qianqian and whispered, "Even if not to Class One or Class Two, Class Three and Four would still be better than your current one."
"It’s all the same for me, I’m the type that doesn’t listen in class." Luo Qianqian spread her hands to Gu Yanzhi’s friend; there was no need to pretend to be a diligent student, once someone got to know her they would realize she was just a lazy girl always looking for shortcuts.
"You’re inviting hatred talking like that," the boy chuckled softly, "I feel like you’ve grown a lot taller over the vacation."
"Really?" Luo Qianqian asked excitedly, the issue of height was a sensitive one, surpassing five foot three had become an obsession for her in this lifetime.
"Yeah, before you were only up to my collarbone, now it’s my shoulder." The boy gestured as such, just as the bus stopped, and they got off following the crowd: "I haven’t grown much myself, only my weight has been changing this vacation, my mom says I’ve put on layers of roundness. You, on the other hand, seem to have slimmed down a bit."
"Gained a bit, but being able to eat is an indication of good health." Luo Qianqian smiled lightly, then spotting Li Qi walking ahead, she quickly waved goodbye to the boy: "I see my friend, I’ll go first, see you later."
"See you later." The boy waved his hand, and after a while mumbled in frustration, "Still didn’t ask her what her name is."
"Li Qi." Luo Qianqian tapped Li Qi from behind and then quickly circled around to her front.
Li Qi turned around but didn’t see anyone right away, continuing forward only to run into Luo Qianqian.
"Ouch." Luo Qianqian rubbed her nose, which had bumped right into Li Qi’s chest, feeling rather soft. She fell sitting onto the ground.
"That’s what you get for scaring me." Seeing Luo Qianqian sitting on the ground, Li Qi quickly got over the shock and helped her up with a laugh: "You’ve gotten taller."
"Not as tall as you, what’s the point of growing that tall?" Luo Qianqian looked up at Li Qi, who was clearly more than a head taller, and huffed unhappily.
Li Qi, laughing, grabbed Luo Qianqian, "What if I could share some with you?"
"That would be great." Luo Qianqian nodded vigorously, only to catch on a moment later: "Can height even be shared? You’ve learned to tease, always picking on me, sob sob."
"Li Qi, why are you picking on our little Qianqian?" A cheerful voice came from behind; it was the brothers Pei Yuhao and Pei Yutian, with Pei Yutian speaking.
"Hey, Qianqian’s gotten taller." Pei Yuhao measured and then said with a slight sigh, "Even though you’ve grown, the gap between us is just getting bigger, but it’s okay, girls can wear high heels."
