The fifth box revealed a piece of Jadeite cabbage. While she could contain her excitement at the sight of the first four antiques, the Jadeite cabbage enthralled her.

Lu Jiaxin had visited the Bay Island Museum, and one of the treasures there was a piece of Jadeite cabbage. This one before her bore some resemblance, carved with white jade for the stem and green for the leaves; only, it lacked the conceptual bugs and was therefore slightly inferior. Nevertheless, this piece of cabbage was carved with distinct layers, thoughtfully leaving the fei color to resemble the glow of rosy clouds, which made it look charmingly dark green.

After admiring it for a good while, Lu Jiaxin realized that the sixth box had already been opened. It contained a Child-seeking Guanyin. The Child-seeking Guanyin, at a glance, measured around 40 centimeters tall, its body snow-white, crystal clear, and flawless.

Lu Hongjun proudly said, “This Child-seeking Guanyin was carved from a single piece of Mutton-fat Jade. It took me the effort of nine bulls and two tigers to get it into my hands.”

Lu Jiaxin looked at him and asked, “You said you’re planning to give these items to Lu Shan so he could pass them on to Gou Dan and Gou Sheng from generation to generation.”

Lu Hongjun nodded and said, “Such treasures, each one could serve as a family heirloom.”

These six items, placed in a museum, each could serve as the centerpiece of its collection. Lu Jiaxin scoffed, “You’re considering passing these on to Lu Shan; do you think they live too comfortably and you want to send them off early?”

If word got out, their family would be in danger, as after all, people die for wealth as birds die for food. But in her hands, these concerns were nonexistent–no one could steal these items from her. She had already installed the world’s most advanced security system at her place.

Lu Hongjun hesitated for a moment, “I also considered this, which is why I dare not give them to Shanzi.”

Nor did he dare to give one each to Gou Dan and Gou Sheng, lest they throw another fit. He was too old to withstand such stress and preferred to endure if possible. After all, seeing the children grow up safely was what mattered most.

Touching the Jadeite cabbage, Lu Jiaxin asked, “Are these items really legally obtained? Tell me the truth now, and I’ll figure out a way to help you.”

Lu Hongjun replied, “Of course, they’re legally obtained, all exchanged with materials. If I had seized them by force, I would’ve been dealt with already.”

Upon hearing this, Lu Jiaxin knew that he must have exchanged these antiques for scarce resources back in the day. Since Lu Hongjun didn’t consider it a violation or a breach of discipline, she didn’t press the issue.

She was incredibly fond of these rare treasures and couldn’t wait to display them in her home in Hong Kong to enjoy every day.

After closing all the boxes, Lu Jiaxin said, “I will have someone bring these items to Hong Kong. If you have any requests, you can tell me now.”

Lu Hongjun indicated that he had no particular requests.

Lu Jiaxin looked skeptical, “No requests? Would you really be willing to give all these items to me?”

Lu Hongjun replied, “I suddenly felt it would only be safe to pass them down through you, not Lu Shan. That kid is too naive; he might get tricked by his dad.”

Lu Jiaxin didn’t continue the topic and said, “It’s getting late, you should head back.”

Lu Hongjun’s expression changed, “You’re sending me back so late at night?”

Lu Jiaxin was in a good mood now and, seeing he did not want to go back, she did not insist, “Then stay here for the night, and I’ll have someone send you back early tomorrow morning.”

“What time is your flight tomorrow? I’ll take you to the airport.”
