Re-Overlord: I Can Acquire Anything!
Chapter 109: Soaring Leaf Village

Chapter 109: Soaring Leaf Village

He exhaled deeply and reviewed the key points from Yuhan’s life:

- Soaring Leaf Village.

- No Martial Core. Considered trash.

- Parents murdered by rogue Demon Cultivators.

- Bullied by peers. Pitied by elders.

- But... he had a stubborn heart. He always believed one day, fate would change.

Igaris smirked.

"Looks like that ’one day’ came. Fate just didn’t know it would bring me instead."

Still, something troubled him.

His own power was not sealed. It was slowly integrating. He could feel it, his Legendary Rank Strength is coming back. Slowly.

Looks like, the Dungeon wanted him to play the role, not dominate from the very start.

He glanced at his reflection in a pond beside the forest trail. The face was slightly different now. He was younger, softer, with Yuhan’s facial structure. But those eyes... his own. Cold, calculating, burning with his own will.

He wasn’t just here to play a character.

He was here to conquer the World.

"Martial Sanctuary... You want me to start from zero?" he whispered.

He cracked his neck and stood tall.

"Fine. I’ll become a god in your own story, then break out of it."

Suddenly, he heard a voice in the distance.

"Young Master Ruin! That trash Yuhan ran into the bamboo forest again!"

"Ohh! Chase him down and beat him till he stops breathing! Let’s see if he can grow a Martial Core through pain!" a snide voice responded, followed by cruel laughter.

Igaris sighed.

"Of course. Classic."

He turned around and cracked his knuckles.

"Let’s go greet the local villains."

Whoosh!

A burly man charged forward, fists swinging with brutish power.

"Die, trash!" he roared, a wicked grin across his face.

But Igaris calmly stepped aside. His movements were precise, calculated — effortless.

Thud!

The man slammed into the dirt face-first, his body skidding slightly across the ground.

"Ow! My nose!" he howled, clutching his face in agony. Blood dribbled between his fingers as he turned to stare at Igaris — or Yuhan, as they knew him — in complete disbelief.

"How did you dodge my Thunder Punch?!" he yelled. "You’re just a trash who can’t use martial arts!"

Igaris gave him a slow, condescending look. "Thunder Punch? I didn’t see any thunder though. All I saw was an overweight fool falling on his face. You’re no martial warrior. You’re just trash wearing some heavy flesh."

"Wh-what!"

Gasps rippled from the small crowd of village boys nearby. They looked at each other, stunned. Yuhan never talked back. He never fought back.

The burly man’s face twisted with fury. "You dare talk back to me, trash?! You’re the lowest filth in Soaring Leaf Village!"

Igaris smiled faintly, and raised his fists.

"Then why don’t you prove it? Let’s see who the real trash is."

"You’re dead!" the man bellowed, charging again with both fists raised.

But Igaris didn’t flinch.

He stepped in smoothly, twisted his body at an angle, and struck with a clean, controlled motion.

Crack!

His fist collided with the man’s ribs directly. A wild strike with raw strength.

Swoosh!

The man flew back with a cry, landing hard on the ground, coughing violently.

"Wha—what kind of strength is that?!"

Igaris stood tall, relaxed. He didn’t even break a sweat.

He glanced at the others now backing away slowly, unsure of what they just witnessed.

The aura around Yuhan (Igaris) had changed entirely. The weak, pitiful orphan was gone. What stood in his place was a storm wrapped in silence.

One of the boys whispered, "T-this can’t be. Did Yuhan awaken his Martial Core?"

"Impossible. The elders already tested him a dozen times..."

Igaris turned and gave them all a cold look.

"I don’t need a Martial Core to break bones. Remember that."

And with that, he walked inside the village, leaving behind silence, fear, and the unconscious fool groaning in the dirt.

"Yuhan gege, did the Village Chief’s son bully you again?" a girl in plain clothes asked as she hurried over.

Her hair was tied in a simple bun, and her face showed worry as she glanced at the faint bruises on his face. She was holding a flower basket on her waist.

Igaris, now wearing Yuhan’s identity, nodded with a calm smile.

"Yes he did, Xiao Mei. But don’t worry. Your brother is fine now. I gave them a lesson using my Martial Art."

"Martial Art?" Xiao Mei raised her eyebrows, her eyes narrowing in disbelief.

"Don’t lie, Yuhan gege. Since when did you learn Martial Arts? You said the elders said you didn’t have a Martial Core."

Igaris shrugged, chuckling softly. "Sigh... If Xiao Mei doesn’t believe me, what else can I say? I guess you’ll have to keep wondering. Anyway, I need to go. I promised Grandpa to to home early today."

He waved nonchalantly, walking away with a slight smirk, perfectly slipping into Yuhan’s gentle older-brother role.

"Ah, uhm... goodbye, gege!" Xiao Mei replied, her voice softer, with a sweet smile as she waved back. Her cheeks flushed slightly, though she didn’t know why.

As Igaris walked down the dirt road, his eyes took in the surroundings carefully. The village architecture was old, intricate, and carried an aura of history. The rooftops were sloped with green tiles, wood-framed structures stood tall but weathered, and red lanterns swayed lightly in the breeze.

He observed the villagers too. The men carried water, women hanged up laundry, kids chased chickens through the streets. The way they moved, talked, and smiled felt... untouched by the greater wars of the Martial world.

Yet the clear divide between ordinary people and Martial Cultivators was impossible to miss.

The common folk wore plain robes made of hemp or linen — faded, patched, and rugged. Meanwhile, the few Martial Warriors he saw walking near the market district stood out. They wore brighter, finely-stitched robes that signified their sect affiliations. Blue, red, and green hems fluttered as they walked with pride and purpose.

’So this is the Martial World from the inside,’ Igaris thought to himself. ’They call themselves superior, yet still live on the bones of peasants.’

He kept his expression mild and composed, though inside his mind was already calculating.

This is just the beginning. If this world is built on martial strength, then he’ll climb the tower using Infinite Acquisition.
