Chapter 236: The Gathering of The Blazing Sun Faction
As the last of the pop-ups fell, Rael straightened his back, glancing around.
He was inside a palace of sorts. Whether it was the archways or the halls, everything was decorated in pure gold.
Even the armor he wore was made of gold, yet it seemed a bit more durable than he’d expected.
As he glanced to the side, he saw his reflection on the shiny golden pillar.
Rael found himself in the body of a tall man who had brown hair and green eyes. He had a thin scar across his nose, and it seemed like a portion of his right ear had been cut off.
It looks kind of cool… not that I’d ever want something like that though, Rael mused as he adjusted his golden armor set.
A single orange Blazing Sun crest adorned his golden chestplate, and it felt like every time he moved, the crest reacted, enhancing his strength.
Not knowing if he imagined it, Rael decided to simply move along.
As he strolled through the halls, he finally arrived at a golden crossing. To the side, he saw multiple soldiers walking in one direction, so Rael decided to follow them as well.
Rael made sure not to seem suspicious, so he carried himself just like the system had described Tyrel’s personality.
Arrogant, prideful, and condescending.
After a few minutes’ walk, he finally arrived at what he could only assume to be an open throne room. Inside, he saw dozens of golden-armored soldiers stationed throughout, and at the far end of the room sat a familiar figure on a radiant golden throne.
It was a being with no facial features, and its entire body was white. It was the exact same being he had seen in the vision. And once Rael noticed the Blazing Sun symbol etched into the being’s forearm, it only confirmed his thoughts.

Hm?
With that, the pop-up slowly vanished, but Rael made sure to absorb that bit of information.
He wasn’t sure whether this memory came from Tyrel’s mind or from his own. But either way, he walked to the side where most of the soldiers were gathered and simply stood, waiting for something to happen.
And soon, it did.
He saw five figures walk into the throne room. Each one carried themselves with grace, and the pressure they emitted was enough to cause every soldier present to feel instinctual fear.
Everyone except Rael, of course.
Four of them were golden-haired men who looked like quadruplets. And then there was a single woman who looked nothing like the rest. She had silver hair and captivating purple eyes.
Even so, all five of them approached the being called Solenne and knelt before them.

Rael nodded and glanced at their shoulders. Just as the pop-up had said, each of them bore a crest with between one and five rays of sunshine.
According to the earlier pop-up, the Fifth Seat was Jashin Artemios, the man whose mind he was currently invading. And as it turned out, he was the weakest of the five.
Rael thought that was it. Now he could finally figure out the relevance of this memory. But then, two more figures entered the throne room.
They made no sound, and most soldiers didn’t even realize anyone had entered.
And for the first time in a while, a genuine shiver ran down Rael’s spine.
The two figures were similar to Solenne because they had no features. Yet instead of being completely white, they were as dark as the void itself. Not even light seemed to refract off them.
Soon, they arrived beside Solenne and sat on opposite sides of the throne.
For a moment, he thought his skill wouldn’t react, but thankfully, it did.

The pop-up faded as a frown formed on Rael’s face.
How the fuck am I supposed to fight against these people? Even if they are greatly weakened in my world, they’re still incredibly strong…
Before he could ponder further, Solenne let out a chuckle.
“My children, it’s a pleasure to see you all again,” Solenne said softly, glancing around the entire throne room. “I apologize for the sudden gathering, but there has been an emergency.”
A moment of silence ensued, but it didn’t last long as all the soldiers burst out into panicked chatter.
—A-An emergency? Even by Goddess Solenne’s standards?
—This is serious… No… wait. Hasn’t this happened before?
—Yes… 40 years ago. We were called because there was an influx of Outers from all the universes invading ours… it was chaos.
Rael listened with interest when, all of a sudden, someone tapped on his shoulder, making him turn around.
It was a scrawny soldier who had a mischievous smile on his face. But from the way the soldier carried himself, Rael could tell he and Tyrel were close.
“Hey Tyrel, check this out,” the soldier said, pointing at the circular hilt of his sword where a single pale yellow sun crest was etched. “I got this made yesterday. Cool, right?”
Rael maintained his poker face and simply shrugged. “Looks as shit as always… I’m not sure what you were even aiming for. It almost looks like someone etched a piss stain into your hilt.”
“Huh? Fuck you too then,” the soldier snickered, playfully punching Rael on the arm.
But his mischievous expression soon turned serious as he readjusted his sword and glanced into Rael’s eyes.
“Tyrel, what do you think the emergency is this time?”
Rael stared back at him for a few moments before shrugging.
…I have no clue.
