Chapter 108: I Never Regretted a Thing

Sharon’s POV—

"I am insect, aren’t I? Every god think mortals to be beneath their feet. Nothing new for me."

Rozefde chuckled darkly. "You think yourself to be above me, right? A mortal who thinks herself to be above the leader of gods... hahaha! What a joke!"

"I never said anything. I never once said that I am above you," I said.

Rozefde shook his head angrily. He sneered, "No, you don’t need to say anything. Just one look from you says everything in volumes. When I was with you, I came to know a lot of things about you. You believe yourself to be a human, aren’t you? No! You are a defect! A defect of the human society! You never care for anything except the matters which concern you. For a moment, let’s forget about this world. Let’s take your novel to be the real world! Did you ever regret about writing the ’OG’ Sharon’s fate? And stop your damn calculations!"

’Novel’ world? So, I was indeed correct. This world is not from my novel.

"I said stop! STOP YOUR DAMN CALCULATIONS! I WANT TO KNOW YOUR REAL THOUGHTS! NO MORE INFLUENCING OR CONROL IN YOUR WORLDS! JUST YOU AND ME! JUST FUCKING COME CLEAN! SHOW ME YOUR REAL SELF!!"

Sighing, I replied, "You want to hear the truth? Did I ever ’regret?’ My novel world doesn’t exist, and I am really grateful for this fact."

Rozefde pulled his hair in anger. "DON’T TRY TO MAKE YOUR WORDS REVOVLE IN CIRCLES!"

"Yeah, yeah... I get it! You are annoyed by my words, right? So, for your happiness... I will tell you the truth," I looked into his eyes, "Rozefde, I... never regretted a thing. There wasn’t a single moment of me, regretting what I had written. Even if it was real... even if my novel world was real... even if everything was real, I would never regret writing a single damn thing."

"Then what about your thoughts?!"

Confused, I asked, "You were in my brain, weren’t you? Yes, I have said some stuff about regretting, not writing, and so... but tell me, do you really think I regret anything? If we are talking about the truth, I am really happy for you to bring me into this world. Something that existed in my dreams, you fulfilled it. You are the one who I should thank. Rozefde, I will say ’thank you,’ with sincerity. Thank you, Rozefde."

Rozefde eyes widened in shock. "You thought..." His words trailed off in shock.

"You know, this aspect of yours... is utterly similar to that of a human. ’Morality.’ A fucking a joke! Did you hear me? Morality is a fucking joke! It’s word that everyone admires but no one follows! Humans never do! They never do! Rozefde, you are an immoral deity, yet you are trying to talk about morality. My thoughts? I faked them. Although, you made my job easier. Influence or control, whatever you did... it fucking helped me!"

"Aren’t you afraid of the ’so-called’ protagonist?!" exclaimed Rozefde.

I shrugged, "I was never afraid of him. It’s you. Your influence/control made me afraid at the very thought of him. I never once thought him as my opponent. There is no way he can defeat me. But for some reason, if I lose... I will just kill me. Do you think being a ’cream bun’ fears me? No, it does fear me a bit."

Rozefde smiled in victory at my words.

I continued, "But I never said about accepting it. Kelshin can never make me a ’cream bun.’ He can defeat the OG Sharon, but not me. He can never... I will never lose to him."

My words diminished his godly aura. "Why are you so confident?! What makes you think you can defeat him?!" he yelled in disbelief.

"Did you really think I would expose my real thoughts to you?"

I laughed hysterically at his words. His words were so funny that it made my stomach hurt from laughing non-stop.

"What the fuck are you laughing for?! Stop it!"

"Stop it!"

"Stop it! Stop it!"

"STOP IT!"

"STOP IT! STOP IT! STOP IT!"

It looks like Rozefde is losing his mind. Seeing my laugh crazily must have made his insides churned with anger.

Composing myself, I wiped the tears of joy from the corners of my eyes. I said, "Huff... huff... I have stopped laughing, okay? But it’s your fault. I mean, you made me laugh. And on top of that, you have the nerve to be annoyed with me!"

"Rozefde, I don’t fear because... I have something to lose or anything. No... never. I had nothing, and never once thought of having something. You know my past? Nah, I am sure you don’t. Rozefde, when I was born, my parents abandoned me. I grew in an orphanage, where I had to fight every day for my survival. Kids bullied me, and caretakers ignored me. I was scrawny kid, who couldn’t fight for himself. But I was really good at studying. So, I was forced to do their homework. If I didn’t, I would get beaten or, my food would be taken by them. So, to save myself, I acted as if I was a bad student. Due to those bastards, I had to fail in some of my exams. I had to repeat grades! Most of the humans go by facial aesthetics, right? Same goes for you gods, right? Don’t try to deny it. A beautiful devotee makes your heart lean towards them."

"No!" Rozefde tried to deny my words.

Shaking my head, I continued, "No one adopted me. I was always rejected by the couples, who came to the orphanage to adopt a kid. They never wanted me. My ’friends’ got adopted, whereas I, remained in that fucking orphanage. Then one day, everything changed. My appearance changed from ugly to beautiful... very, very beautiful. You couldn’t discern my gender just by looking at my face. My face changed, but I never changed. My face always attracted problems. Both men and women wanted to lay their hands on me. Hahaha! See? Their behaviour changed when they saw my ’beautiful’ face. Fucking double standards!"

"I always had to change my jobs because of my face. For what? Because I wanted freedom, and I knew the typical behaviour of human beings. They liked my face, nothing else. But due to those fuckers, my career got destroyed. They said that I offended them. But about me? I had no job. I was jobless!"
