Chapter 105: The God of Wishes

Sharon’s POV—

"Did I mess with your teleportation array? The answer is, no... I didn’t. It was your own creativity that landed you here." He replied in a haughty tone.

He moved his eyes on my figure, scanning me from top to bottom. Smiling, he continued, "I thought your first question would be aimed at my real identity. Aren’t you curious about my real identity?"

I felt completely disgusted seeing him checking me out.

"Is that what you think? Why should I be curious about your name? You really overestimate yourself," I sneered at him.

He feigned an expression of hurt and said, "Tch~ I am really hurt by your hateful words."

"You are a god, aren’t you?"

"Yes, I am."

So, he really is a god. According to my knowledge, only two gods are left alive... and this is all just a speculation.

"Why reveal yourself to me now? Wouldn’t it better that you have kept your real identity a secret?" I asked.

He nodded his head and said, "Maybe or, maybe not. I never intended to keep my identity secret from you. Well, enough about that. You still didn’t ask about my real identity. Are you just satisfied with your limited knowledge on me?"

"Then tell me. Who are you?"

Smirking proudly, he yelled, "I am the one who rules over the gods and mortals alike! I am the epitome of divinity! My domain reigns supreme over every possible domain! I am Rozefde, the god of wishes."

’God of wishes?’ My eyes narrowed slightly.

"You are the leader of gods, aren’t you?"

"As expected of someone chosen by me! Yes, I am the ruler of the entire god council. I rule supreme over every other thing in this world."

So, Rozefde is the ’inner god,’ the one who escaped the slaughter.

"I am a little curious about you, Rozefde."

Rozefde snorted, "To call me by my name, I never expected you to be this daring."

"Are you angry? Don’t tell me you are going to be acting like a petty god, just because I called your name. Although, what should I expect of someone who fears me? While I am not entirely a human, you are still afraid of me?"

Hearing my words, he started laughing hysterically. After laughing for almost a minute, he finally stopped. He asked, "What do you mean? Me? Afraid of you? Are you joking with me? I am a god... not some tiny mortal who would be afraid of you."

"You should be. Aren’t you gods once feared human? Your group even killed the first batch of humans, right?"

The god’s eyes widened in shock. With a low tone, he asked, "How did you know this?"

"Find it yourself. Do you think I will answer you anything? Then again, I am returning the favor, okay? You never answered any of my questions. So, why expect it from me?"

"HOW DID YOU KNOW THIS! WHO TOLD YOU?!" yelled Rozefde. The entire temple shook from his yelling. Countless cracks appeared on the floor beneath me. Some cuts appeared in the space, showing a pitch black inside its gut. It was as if someone had cut the space-time fabric."

I looked into his golden eyes and provoked him further. "I even know you escaped the slaughter in the expense of your fellow gods. You are nothing but a coward."

Some of you may think, it’s really idiotic of me to anger a god... but I don’t think this way. If I am correct, I know Rozefde has already planned to kill me. So, if I am going to die, then I certainly don’t want to lick his ass. I won’t beg for my life. People like him, even the gods, like their asses licked. It satisfies their ego.

Rozefde took a deep breath. "No, need to answer me. I will ultimately find it out."

"Good Luck."

He hissed, "Why are you trying to provoke me? How can you even defy me at this proximity? It shouldn’t be possible."

Suddenly, an ominous thought was born in my mind. A shiver ran down my spine just by thinking it.

Rozefde is the god of wishes, and he stated his domain rules supreme over every other domain. And he wasn’t lying. Think about it. Humans were moved by their desires or, wishes. Whereas, gods were fuelled by their wishes. In Erica’s memory, gods fulfilled humans’ desires... but could they fulfill a desire which was beyond their domain’s jurisdiction? Now that I think about it, Klurench always fulfilled the desires which are within its jurisdiction. Fuck! I never thought such a critical point would be missed by me.

If I am correct, Rozefde is not bound by this. He could fulfill any wish he wanted.

"You can fulfill every wish, right?"

Rozefde glared at me. "What makes you say so?"

Should I tell him? Ah, what difference does it make? "You are the god of wishes. While other gods can fulfill mortals’ desires... you, on the other hand, your domain is fulfilling wishes. This means you can fulfill every wish, even those wishes which are impossible to fulfil."

Many people would think this information was useless. But I don’t. This information is really crucial for me. I am sure you are dying to know it. While I am dying to tell you, I have decided not to tell you.

Rozefde clapped his hands in appreciation. "I was wrong about you. Just when I thought, you can no longer surprise me... you proved me wrong. I shouldn’t have underestimated you."

"I am glad that I exceeded your expectations. To think, the leader of gods would be fazed by me... I don’t know whether I am a genius or, you are a fool. Hmmm... I am more inclined towards the latter one," I mocked him.

His eyebrows twitched in annoyance. His golden eyes were full of hatred.

"Why are you trying to make me angry? Do you not fear your life?"

I shrugged, "I was just checking."

"What were you checking?" His voice was full of impatience.

I smirked, "I just wanted to check whether the leader of gods could have a heart attack or not."
