Chapter 105: Talking to Professor sylune
The faint glow of dawn barely seeped through the narrow window of Alex’s dorm room, but he was already awake, his mind buzzing with a decision that felt both exhilarating and utterly ridiculous.
By morning, he had chosen his target for the system’s bizarre quest: Professor Sylune, the teacher who had welcomed him with a warm smile on his first day at Starhaven Academy.
Her image lingered vividly in his mind, her graceful figure, the way her robes hugged her curves, the kindness in her expression that had made him feel, however briefly, like he belonged.
His body stirred at the thought, a flush of anticipation making his rod twitch.
He let out a nervous chuckle, rubbing the back of his neck. "Calm down," he muttered to himself, his voice a mix of amusement and self-reproach. "There’s still a long way to go."
The quest, Bed a Teacher, was outrageous, but the reward was too enticing to ignore.
Alex had no clue how he’d pull it off, or if it was even possible, but Professor Sylune seemed the most approachable choice.
Her warmth on that first day had left an impression, and he hoped it might give him a starting point to build... something.
A connection, perhaps, or a chance to understand what the system truly meant. The thought made his stomach twist with nerves, but he pushed it aside. He’d figure it out when he got there.
Determined to catch her before the day’s chaos began, Alex headed to Starhaven Academy earlier than usual.
The campus was serene, its towering spires and winding paths bathed in the soft light of morning. He clutched his bag, his heart pounding as he navigated the labyrinthine halls toward Professor Sylune’s classroom.
He didn’t have a script or a strategy, just a gut feeling that he’d know what to say when he saw her.
Pushing open the heavy wooden door to her classroom, Alex peeked inside, his breath catching.
The room was empty except for Professor Sylune, who stood at her desk, sorting through a stack of scrolls with a focused air. Relief washed over him, she was alone.
He pushed open the heavy wooden illuminating the room. "Good morning, Professor," he said, his voice clear and steady in the quiet space.
Professor Sylune glanced up, her expression shifting from concentration to mild surprise.
Her robes, a deep emerald green, flowed elegantly over her frame, and Alex’s pulse quickened as he took her in.
She offered a warm smile, setting down a scroll. "Good morning, Alex," she replied, her tone friendly but curious. "I wasn’t expecting anyone this early. Do you have a class with me today?"
Alex shook his head, flashing a easy grin. "Nope, not today," he said, leaning casually against the doorframe.
Her gaze followed his movement, but she didn’t comment. "I just... took a wrong turn and ended up here," he said, the lie slipping out smoothly. He met her eyes, hoping the excuse landed.
To his relief, Professor Sylune chuckled, the sound light and melodic. "Starhaven’s halls can be quite the maze, especially for new students," she said, her smile softening.
"You’ll get the hang of them with time. They twist and turn, but there’s a pattern to it, I promise."
Alex nodded, stepping closer, his hands relaxed at his sides. "Yeah, I’ll figure it out," he said, his grin widening.
He seized the moment, his voice warm and deliberate. "You know, I just had to say, you look absolutely beautiful today. Those robes really bring out your charm."
The room went still, the air heavy with his words. Professor Sylune’s cheeks flushed a soft pink, her smile faltering into something more surprised.
She tilted her head, her expression warm but tinged with a hint of caution. "Thank you, Alex," she said, her voice gentle and appreciative. "That’s very kind of you to say."
Alex’s heart leapt at her blush, a small win that fueled his resolve. He nodded, keeping his grin in place. "Just calling it like I see it," he said smoothly, stepping back. "I should probably get to class, though."
"Safe travels through those halls," Professor Sylune said, her smile returning, though it carried a knowing glint.
Alex gave a quick wave and slipped out of the room, his heart pounding with a mix of triumph and adrenaline. He’d made his move, and her reaction was promising. It was a solid first step.

In the bustling hallways of Starhaven, Alex wove through the growing crowd of students, his mind still replaying the encounter with Professor Sylune.
Her blush lingered in his thoughts, a tiny spark of possibility amidst the absurdity of the system’s quest.
He needed to be smarter, to build trust before even considering the task, but for now, he felt a flicker of progress.
Lost in thought, he nearly collided with Velenda, who appeared in front of him like a whirlwind, her face etched with worry.
"Alex!" Velenda exclaimed, her voice sharp with concern. She grabbed his shoulders, her eyes scanning him as if searching for signs of distress. "I heard what happened to you! Stars, are you okay?"
Her gaze zeroed in on his arm, where the skin was still faintly pink from healing. Her expression darkened, her hands tightening briefly. "Who did this to you? If we ever find those cowards, they’ll be in so much trouble!"
Alex managed a tired smile, touched by her fierce protectiveness. "I’m okay, Velenda," he said, his voice steady. "The healing center fixed me up. It’s not a big deal."
Velenda huffed, crossing her arms. "Not a big deal? Alex, that’s awful! Paper bag masks, of all things!" She shook her head, her voice rising with indignation.
"This is Starhaven Academy, not some lawless pit. The principal needs to do something about this!"
"They’re working on it," Alex said, recalling Sir Orion’s promise of improved security. He adjusted his satchel, settling it more comfortably on his shoulder. "Sir Orion saw the end of it. He’s talking to the principal."
Velenda’s eyes softened, though her frown lingered. "Good. You don’t deserve this, Alex. Not any of it." She hesitated, then added, "I just want you to be safe, okay? And if anyone tries to mess with you again, they’ll have to deal with me."
