"Wh-What are you doing...EEEKKK!!"

Before Kylian could finish his sentence, a panicked shriek escaped from his quivering lips. Being embraced by Zenith’s arm wrapped around his waist, suddenly he sensed that his legs felt lighter, as if his body was ascending in the air!

His ocean eyes gawked open from shock and before words could befall, his jaw almost dropped when Kylian witnessed it was not him, but Zenith, who had started to ascend upwards in the air, holding Kylian tightly in his arms.

In contrast to Kylian’s distraught reaction, Zenith seemed very amused with a lingering smirk on his soft cherry lips, as if he was enjoying every bit of moment to see Kylian panic-stricken.

"W-WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?" After a brief shocked silence, Kylian unknowingly wrapped both his arms around Zenith’s shoulder and hugged him tighter with his trembling arms.

The pale look of distraught on his face was evident to tell the sight of ascending upwards had spooked him badly.

But though he hugged him tight out of fear, Zenith seemed pretty satisfied with his reaction and calmly patted Kylian on his back while trying to comfort him, "Don’t worry, just hold me tighter. You’ll find out soon."

"But w-why the heck we are floating in ai—" Kylian’s grunt trailed off when he suddenly noticed Zenith had a translucent reddish flame glowing on his other arm which he had pointed towards the murky sky. His eyes were closed but his expression looked very relaxed compared to Kylian, holding that cryptic smile.

Within a few seconds, their ascending speed increased more than before, making Kylian realize Zenith had already pulled him far above the ground.

But scared shitless by this unexpected event and still unable to trust his actions completely, Kylian couldn’t bring himself to peek a glance down at the far below ground, but unknowingly clenched his grip around Zenith’s neck.

Getting frustrated at their speedily increasing distance from the ground, Kylian vented this time in a trembling voice, "What the hell are you doing to me now!? What is happening, if I fall from this height I might die, you shithead—"

"How could you have so little faith in me?"

This time when Zenith opened his eyes as he answered, his pitch-black eyeballs were glowing red in color, and the mysterious red flame from his hand formed a translucent barrier sound their bodies before it disappeared in the thin air.

Already fazed by his actions, before Kylian could ask him anymore, Zenith firmly asserted him this time, holding his bright radiant smile, "I didn’t mean to scare you. Rather, I just gave you a glimpse of my true self. I can fly high in the air, Kylian."

"F-Fly?" Stuttering with a look of disbelief in his gaze rolled at him, Kylian couldn’t bring himself to process his answer, as he asked confusedly, "Fly...meaning, you can fly like birds? I mean...I...I have never imagined an Alpha could do something like this... S-So do you mean as if you are some kind of cursed monster?"

"Really? Is this the only better thing you can think of me?" Exhaling a long sigh, Zenith scoffed at him, sounding a bit disappointed in his tone as he had lowkey expected Kylian to be cheering brightly after he had exposed his hidden power to him.

But instead of hearing his confusion about him being a cursed monster, Zenith grunted, "Your innocence sometimes pisses me off terribly..."

"Then h-how the hell I am supposed to know that Alphas could fly like this?"

"Not every Alpha can do this."

Zenith answered him in a curt voice while gradually slowing up his speed with which they were ascending upward. Taking a quick glance around him, Zenith observed they had reached quite far above from the ground, almost close to the tip of the tallest bell tower building at the Academy, which could have been roughly 200ft distance from the ground.

While tightening his hold around Kylian’s slim waist, he calmly elaborated the truth, "Only the chosen Alphas or Omegas who can awaken an ancestral wolf inside them are blessed with gifted powers. The powers could be anything special, and they vary from one individual to another. But the powers only get activated when triggered by an emergency situation, not like it would be awakened along with your wolf right away."

"W-Wait...that means, this is your gifted power that you can fly and float in the air no matter how far the distance ascends?" Slowly processing his words with a shocked look on his pale face, Kylian murmured without peeking a glance down at the distance they were up above since he was scared he might faint if he had actually checked that now.

But his red illuminant orbs curved with a smile when Zenith affirmed, "That’s correct. And these gifted powers are supposed to be secret, we should be only using that in dire need."

"If that’s a secret then why would you show that to me?" Too baffled after hearing such a surprising revelation, Kylian couldn’t help but blink his lashes confusedly at him.

But hearing his question, the confidence on Zenith’s face wiped off a little when he held a bashful look on him while pondering inside, ’With a faint hope that you might be a little amazed by me if I reveal my gifted power to you. After all, any other omega might have reacted like that, considering how fragile they pretend to be, right?

’But instead, the first idea that came to your mind was that I was a cursed monster...You must really have a knack to get on my nerves like this, you pretty fool...’

With another big sigh, Zenith didn’t directly answer his question but tossed a small shy smirk, "You are the only person after Aiden to whom I have willingly shown my gifted power, do remember that always."

However, Kylian didn’t seem very pleased by his answer, and his face rather contorted with confusion. His brows frowned, and in a dubious voice, he mumbled, "I have also awakened an ancestral omega wolf inside me, does that mean I also possess a gifted power?"
