In the serene expanse of the vast ocean, Midgard was sitting, her hand tenderly stroking Dora’s hair. The boy lay nestled in her lap, his arms encircling her midsection. "Have you calmed down a little?"

Eyes shut, Dora wrapped his arms around her, pulling himself in closer to her waist. The sound of the girl’s laughter echoed as she affectionately caressed his cheek.

"Don’t worry, I’m here, I’m not going anywhere. Nothing will separate us again."

She gazed up at the twinkling stars above, shimmering in the darkness, their light dancing in the depths of her gaze.

"I was thinking... since we both want to run away from everything and have unfulfilled dreams, what if we tried to do it here?"

Both individuals knelt, their hands intertwined and their gazes locked onto one another.

"Remember what we talked about before today? What do you want to do after the Twilight of the Gods?"

Dora experienced a gentle gust of wind rustling through his hair, an unusual occurrence in this particular location. Gradually, he opened his eyes and was left in awe. Before him lay a picturesque scene.

High school students hurriedly passed by him, cars zoomed across the road, and the air was filled with the familiar sounds of friendly chats and bicycle bells. He glanced down and was taken aback to find himself dressed in a student uniform, blending seamlessly into the vibrant atmosphere.

"What are you doing?"

Startled by Midgard’s voice, he quickly shifted his attention towards the entrance of the school. To his surprise, Midgard was standing there, dressed in the same uniform as him. She was leaning against the front gate, holding a cute green bag that resembled a stuffed toy in their hands.

"It’s the first day of school, you don’t want to be late, do you? Or maybe you want to skip class, my-little-friend?"

At the break of dawn, the tranquil waters of the sea cradled the majestic Queen’s Marina. Grogard positioned himself atop three sturdy crates, commanding the attention of a small gathering seated before him. Among the distinguished individuals present were the nobles, Hope, Cid, Lisa, Iris and Eryl. Meanwhile, tucked away in the privacy of her cabin, Zuri found solace in her own company.

"Very well, friends, we have surprisingly traveled all this time without encountering a monster. Good or bad omen? Only time will tell. We should reach the Kalaharis sometime tomorrow, so this would be the perfect time to take stock of our expedition."

"These elves and these giants, are they enemies? Because if we’re looking for the queen of the elves and the king of the giants... well, you know what I mean."

Grogard stroked his beard again.

"Good question, to answer the first, we have no record of interactions with elves... Well, unless someone with elf ears wants to take the mic."

Eyes turned towards Eryl, the servant, her eyes wandering, crossed her arms and diverted her gaze.

"I’m feeling a little tired, carry on without me."

Grogard laughed heartily, this time rubbing his stomach.

"I call that a good blast of nostalgia, Bwahaha! Now, you people, consider this a warning of the dangers of elves. I wouldn’t mind seeing one though... legends say their wives are simply delightful HAHAHAH!!!"

Everyone groaned, some starting to get up to leave. Suddenly, a person raised their hand and his question made everyone stop in front of the crazy old man.

"Could you tell us about the naval war against Wrath?" asked Cid.

Grogard, on his pedestal, stopped smiling for the first time. He carefully observed the young boy before displaying a terrible smile.

"... At last... I’ve been dying to hear one of you ask that."
