"The maniac?"

William Guillen chuckled. "It seems you’re quite concerned about the maniac. You guessed it right on the first try."

"Where is she?" Thomas Shannon didn’t waste words and got straight to the point.

"Golden Wing Palace. She’s the most beautiful croupier there tonight."

After hanging up, Thomas Shannon chuckled. He’d let her go, and she walked right back into his net. He couldn’t be blamed for this, then, he mused, toying with his phone.

Sophie Sullivan had expected to finally receive her Identity Card, but instead, she was told the manager was on a business trip.

This means I won’t get my Identity Card until the manager returns, she realized, annoyed. Although annoyed, Sophie didn’t voice any complaints.

The tycoon completely disregarded her, his hand reaching for her smooth cheek, his eyes filled with lewdness. "So delicate. Come with me, I won’t treat you poorly."

Sophie seized his lecherous hand and slammed it hard onto the gambling table.

"AGH!" The tycoon shrieked, vaguely hearing the sickening crunch of bone.

Sophie sneered. "This is the price for ignoring a warning."

Knowing she had stirred up trouble, Sophie turned to leave.

The tycoon, his eyes bloodshot and veins throbbing on his temples from fury, roared, "Get her!"

The tycoon’s cronies moved to block Sophie’s escape, while casino staff, realizing the situation was escalating, hurried to inform the manager.

Just a step from the doorway, Sophie was grabbed from behind.

"You damned bitch!"

A fist flew towards the back of her head. Sophie barely dodged, clenched her own fist, and was about to retaliate when—

BANG!

The door to the VIP room was kicked open with a deafening crash.

The man standing outside was tall and imposing, his face cold, his eyes sharp. The moment he appeared, an innate aristocratic aura emanated from him. His commanding presence, an authority that compelled respect without any overt display of anger, instantly silenced the previously arrogant crowd.

Flanked by men in black, Thomas Shannon strode into the VIP hall. His sharp, penetrating gaze locked onto the hand gripping Sophie.

"Let go." The two words, cold as ice, were laced with killing intent.
