The manager looked bewildered. After a moment, he stared at Sophie Sullivan in astonishment.

The Boss’s woman?

The manager asked nervously, "Young Master Guillen, are you joking? Is she really the President’s woman?"

"Would I lie?"

William Guillen took a deep drag from his cigarette. Amidst the swirling smoke, a smirk touched his lips.

This was the woman Thomas Shannon had just recently acquired a taste for.

"What should I do, Young Master Guillen? You have to save me!"

Making the President’s woman a croupier here? I’d be finished!

William Guillen was also confused. Why would the little maniac suddenly show up at Golden Wing Palace?

He glanced around but saw no sign of Thomas Shannon or Charlie River.

"Alright, don’t be afraid. Maybe it’s just a little game your President is playing."

The manager looked warily at Sophie Sullivan, still uneasy. "Young Master Guillen, should I arrange something for this Miss...?"

"No need. Continue as usual."

"Yes, yes, yes." The manager wiped the cold sweat from his forehead.

William Guillen and his entourage stayed for over an hour before leaving.

Sophie Sullivan quietly sighed with relief. They were finally gone.

Then she thought, What am I afraid of? Thomas Shannon already let me go. I didn’t escape on my own, so why should I be afraid?

After William Guillen left, the manager called her to his office. Speaking softly and with a smile, he said, "Delia Zane, if you have any dissatisfaction with your current job, feel free to tell me."

Delia Zane was the name she had chosen for herself.

Sophie Sullivan shook her head, her voice hoarse. "No."

"No need to be reserved. If you have any dissatisfaction, please let us know. Our company values employee experience."

The manager was just short of saying, Miss Zane, please, hurry up and make some demands so I can feel at ease.

Sophie Sullivan frowned slightly. "Manager, I really have no complaints."

"Really?"

The manager’s attitude reminds me of William Guillen, Sophie Sullivan thought. Could he have said something to the manager? I only agreed to work at the Golden Wing Palace on one condition: that they get me an Identity Card.

"There’s just one thing I’m not quite satisfied with..."

The manager smiled and made a welcoming gesture. "Please, tell me."

"The processing time for my Identity Card is too long. Can you expedite it?"

The manager immediately agreed, "Of course, no problem!"

After leaving the Manager’s Office, Sophie Sullivan decided, As soon as I get my Identity Card, I’m leaving this place.

「That night.」

After finishing a video conference, Thomas Shannon asked Charlie River for a glass of wine.

The smooth liquor swirled over the tip of his tongue.

Under the light, the man’s handsome face, with its deep contours and strikingly defined features, looked as if meticulously sculpted by God.

His deep eyes held a glint of cold, captivating allure.

"Charlie."

Charlie River bowed. "Young Master, I’m here."

"How long has it been since the little maniac left?"

"Young Master, it’s been two days."

Two days... Thomas Shannon thought. I haven’t touched her in two days.

He sipped his wine, silent.

Charlie River couldn’t decipher his master’s thoughts. "Young Master, do you want me to bring her back?"

"No need."

Bringing her back now would be boring, Thomas Shannon mused. I want the little maniac to have nowhere else to turn, to beg to come back to me. A pet can have a temper, but it can’t be allowed to run out of control. Let her go out and hit a few walls; only then will she learn to behave.

"Yes."

After a pause, Charlie River seemed to remember something. "Young Master, the doctor we contacted previously has arrived. He’s an expert in treating damaged vocal cords."

His Young Master had previously mentioned wanting a doctor to treat the ’maniac’s’ damaged vocal cords.
