Chapter 176: Chapter 176: It’s the day
Loud gasps erupted from the crowd and almost immediately, whispers and murmurs began to fill the air.
Blake’s icy blue eyes widened a fraction for a split second before his eyes were quickly narrowed into thin slits as he glared at Xavier. His blood was boiling with anger as his lips quivered, waves of unjust crashing onto him.
"I... did not," he began, his voice steady and his expression remained calm as the place fell silent. "I did not cheat on Aurelia!" He shouted this time, his voice boomed loudly, slicing through the air like a gunshot in the silence. The words that left his lips were shaking with rage that was pulsing through every single vein inside of his body.
I watched with wide eyes as Xavier rushed forward, closing the distance between them in a few large strides. Despite the police officers’ best efforts to push him away from Blake, they couldn’t stop him. He reached out and tightly grabbed Blake by his collar, pulling him close to him, their faces merely inches apart as a dark look crossed his eyes.
He lowered his voice.
"Don’t you dare say you didn’t," he warned through gritted teeth, his hand still on his now wrinkled collar. "You know what you did, and you did her wrong," his gaze remained steady as he spat the words out like they were poison in his mouth.
A cold chuckle emerged from Blake’s throat this time as he shook his head, the corners of his lips twitching upwards into an amused smile. He arched his brow at him, a smug expression etched onto his face. "I would hardly call that cheating mate, who told her to be waiting for me at home while I am out with Stella?" He retorted smugly, which only earned him a punch across his face.
The crowd broke into chaos and I found myself staring ahead as I froze while the police officers sprung into action. They quickly pulled Xavier away from Blake to stop him, creating a distance between the two men. While Xavier’s dark brown eyes were burning with anger, Blake had this arrogant smirk that was plastered across his face even as a droplet of blood trickled down from his nose to his upper lip.
"Blake!" Stella’s cries echoed in the place as her eyes flashed with concern and worry as she witnessed the scene unfold before her eyes.
The air was thick with tension as everyone around us watched with anticipation hanging on their faces and their eyes glazed with curiosity.
I thought I would feel triumphant and satisfied if I went up to him and slapped him across his face, telling him how much I sacrificed for him while he was out there with another woman. I didn’t care if he slept with Stella when we were still married, that was a thing of the past and I guess I will never find out and also I don’t want to find out. It was only now did I realise that seeing his arms cuffed behind his back and the nasty bruise forming across his cheek was more than good enough for me.
"That’s enough," the officer’s voice jolted me back to reality, breaking me out of my little reverie. He turned to Xavier as a stern warning left his lips. "Sir, don’t cause more trouble. We will be bringing these two back for questioning."
Despite their protests and shouting, I watched quietly with a satisfied smile lingering on my lips as they pulled Blake and Stella out of the lobby, clearly distraught and bewildered.

Of course, Blake and Stella were both released after questioning on that very same day when the police found out it was a false call and they had no other reasons to detain them any further. And of course, they claimed that I was the one who tipped off the police and the paparazzi, but they couldn’t get any evidence to pinpoint me so it was all dismissed, vanishing into thin air like nothing ever happened.
I was watching the news on television, as one does. I was just about to turn it off when I caught a glimpse of a familiar face from the corner of my eyes appearing on screen. Immediately, I whipped my head around and my gaze was now fixated onto the brightly lit screen, my jaw hanging slightly open when realisation dawned upon me.
It was Blake and Stella.
"Babe!" I called out to Xavier who was making himself a cup of espresso in the kitchen. "Come watch this," I commented, a smirk already tugging at the corners of my lips.
The people who were once their fans and admirers turned into their biggest enemies. The smirk on my face widened, spreading across my face as the crowd tossed rotten eggs and food at them, cussing at them for being cheaters and ruining families while others claimed that she had slept her way into the acting career - which I guess wasn’t exactly wrong but still.
I don’t know how but for some reason it seemed that Stella must have somehow convinced Blake to publicly reveal their relationship since the cat was already out of the bag. Her poor PR team must be working overtime right now and pulling their hair out begging her to deny all allegations. But unfortunately for them and well... lucky for me, she is one of the most stubborn and stupid people I know.
It was a sight to behold. Her long dark hair and his thick blonde hair was now drenched with rotten eggs and bits and pieces of lettuce and tomatoes decorated their heads. That is for sure going to stink for days to come, I couldn’t even imagine the smell.
A low chuckle erupted from Xavier’s parted lips as he watched with amusement dancing in his eyes. "Serve them right, they deserved this."
I smiled and nodded in agreement, satisfaction blossoming in my chest. "Yeah, they most definitely did."
Their popularity plummeted to rock bottom overnight and their reputations were entirely ruined, all thanks to me and of course, my favourite husband, not that I have more than one husband. Stella was basically blacklisted and shunned while Blake was fired from his director role, replaced with a woman this time, one that was actually much more competent than he would ever be.
This was the day that I have been planning for since the very beginning, and watching it come to live in front of me was a surreal experience for sure.
I was the happiest I have ever been since the day I walked out of that apartment and was drenched due to the rain. But that was until, this sharp voice pierced through the air and reached my ears.
"Are you happy now?!"
