After thinking for a bit, John chose to evolve Pymon into Thundergale Leviathan Roclord — Lightning Reaver / Monsoonlord / Skylord.

All evolution forms had the potential of Mythical-rank, but the power of attributes still mattered.

Soon, Azelis arrived, bringing with her five exotic monsters, and all of them could fly, but they were not all of the bird type.

Azelis raised her hand, and five exotic monsters appeared like curses stitched into the sky from her sphere as she released them.

The Glimmerspine Pantherlynx blinked between mirrored flickers, its claws shimmering with psionic edge.

The Hollowantler Shardbuck stepped onto air itself, antlers spiraling with dreadlight. Frostmaw Coilbear slithered behind, breath curling in freezing rings, its serpentine limbs flexing as gravity warped around it.

Embersting Vulturejackal circled above, wings afire, stinger tail dripping soulbrand flame.

High above, the Skyrune Mothstalker floated in utter silence, its luminous wings unfolding with scripture-like runes drifting through the dome.

Rexion rose with a single beat of his wings, light flaring across his golden scales. His breath steamed through fangs already burning with script. Then he shot forward without a roar—just speed, precision, and rising pressure.

The Pantherlynx struck first, disappearing into flickers. Rexion didn’t search. His claws ignited in spinning runes, and he tore forward with Runeblade Pulseburst + Flameglyph Arc, slicing through the mirrored flickers as burning trails followed.

One flicker cracked wrong, and Rexion’s eyes glinted. Rexion twisted in the air and smashed his claws into it, carving deep before a sigil exploded point-blank in its gut. The lynx shattered into mirrored shards midair. Its essence surged into Rexion’s veins as Sanguinite Gluttony activated—power rushing in like flame down dry roots.

The Shardbuck responded with a volley of soulglass bolts, antlers humming as runes launched in spirals. Rexion didn’t dodge. His armor blazed into life—Ignisweave Runelord Armor + Overvital Burst. Shards shattered against his reinforced frame. He dived low, then surged up with force, catching the beast’s neck in his jaws. He dragged it upward and spun once, burning runes forming across his chest. His claw slammed into the Shardbuck’s flank—Luxbrand Sigilspike + Radiant Carve—and carved glowing glyphs into its crystalline ribs. One more upward sweep, and the beast spiraled down, antlers shattered, body smoldering.

Then came the Coilbear. The air dropped. Frost filled Rexion’s lungs. The bear twisted downward in a coiled dive, mouth open wide enough to swallow his wings.

Rexion’s breath flared gold as he slammed his wings once, rising to meet it with Igniblood Scriptwheel + Crimson Luxon Flight. A burning wheel of runes spun around his body, propelling him straight into the incoming maw. Ice cracked. The Coilbear screamed. Rexion’s claws slashed in a burst of glyphlight. A roar—frozen mid-throat—cut off as the burning wheel carved through the beast’s spine. It collapsed, coils twitching midair before plummeting in silence.

But the Vulturejackal was faster. A flash of cursed fire licked along Rexion’s side as the stinger lashed into his flank. Blood hissed against his glowing scales. His head snapped toward the jackal—and smiled.

The wound bled, but the attack triggered the Sigilheart Reactor.

[Innate Talent—Sigilheart Reactor]: Whenever Rexion takes damage, the damager receives a Sigilheart Mark, stacking up to five times. When Rexion attacks a target with a Sigilheart Mark, he deals 10% extra damage and heals for the amount of damage he deals. 10% extra damage per Sigilheart Mark stacked.

Rexion flared forward, claws striking once, then again. With each blow, a sigilmark appeared on the jackal’s hide because Rexion was also receiving Jackal’s attack. Five in total. When it tried to retreat, Rexion shot forward with a roar, and Runeflare Detain + Judgment Halo Snare activated, completely trapping the beast into a blazing hell formation with glowering whips wrapping around its limbs.

Rexion bit into its throat and didn’t let go. The cursed fire turned cold in his mouth as he healed from the damage dealt. The jackal crumbled, tail twitching as it vanished into ash.

Only the Mothstalker remained.

It hadn’t moved—only floated higher, glowing wings releasing runes like drifting prayers. A cage of aerial scripture surrounded them. Rexion lifted his gaze, blood dripping down his left shoulder. His wings burned brighter.

He vanished upward.

Runes exploded where he had been. Then the sky warped.

Rexion came down like a comet, the Crimson Luxon Flight wheel around him blazing like a miniature sun as his speed increased tremendously. Runes cracked as he passed. The Mothstalker’s trap collapsed inward.

He didn’t stop.

His claw caught the beast just under its wing—Radiant Carve, followed by a flurry of pulseburst detonations. Its luminous wings were shredded. Its body spiraled.

Rexion followed it down, slammed it once with his tail, then exhaled a final burst of light from his jaws.

The Mothstalker’s chest exploded in glyphfire.

Silence returned.

All five monsters lay broken.

Rexion hovered there, wings wide, scales gleaming with blood and light. His body steamed. The runes across his form pulsed harder, sharper, as if the world itself couldn’t contain them.

"Good fight, buddy." John grinned.

Rexion descended slowly, his gold-red eyes showing jubilation as blood threads of Bloodscript attribute released outward, capturing all broken, dead monsters and pulling them towards him before his mouth stretched massively as he gulped all of them down.

"Roar!!" Rexion roared, wings spread wide and head high as if telling no one was his opponent.

The other monsters rolled their eyes.

John chuckled. "Alright, time for your evolution, buddy."
