Overlord Tamer: All My Pet Monsters Have God Potential
Chapter 155: Business Twist (2/2)

Chapter 155: Business Twist (2/2)

"Then here it is," Mr. Sirius said as he faintly smiled and waved his hand, sending all energy drinks towards Yalentra, who promptly put them away in her storage ring.

"The price for you to decide on this." Retaining his faint smile, Mr. Sirius continued. "What I will give you is only some information."

"First, the ingredients required to make a single drink can consist of one Legendary-rank resource and eight Sovereign-rank resources."

"To make a hundred of these cans, you can imagine or calculate the amount of resources that must be required. I don’t have a recipe, but this also requires a special water in which these ingredients must combine together in the art of alchemy to produce such effects."

"Now," Mr. Sirius put out his index finger as it pointed in the sky, his hand facing the Duraians. "This is a special product, and it will be sold as such. You will only have one chance to present me with an apprentice price for these 100 Hell’s Paradise Drinks."

"If I am not satisfied, I will take those cans back, and yes, I can. Like this," John said as he waved his hand, spending Molding Essence to take out the cans from Yalentra’s storage ring.

Everyone was shocked.

"Yes, we have a kind of skill to imprint our products, allowing us to take them back. This is why I give them out freely without getting paid first," Mr. Sirius said, his smile appearing a bit sharp.

"Not only will I take these drinks back if I am not satisfied, I will also not sell the energy drinks in the auction."

Everyone was at a loss.

"You can’t be serious, Mr. Sirius, right?"

"Indeed. We are all reasonable beings here. Why the need to play games? If you have them, sell them."

Mr. Sirius shook his head, and a carefree chuckle escaped his mouth in stark contrast to the frustration and irritation he gave to the rest with his conditions.

"Sorry, but no sale if I am not satisfied with the price presented by the Duraians. This is how it will go, as that is how I work."

"And hereby, my business session with the Duraians is now over." Closing his eyes, Mr. Sirius said. "The auction will start after I get the price. Until then, I would like peace, please."

"I will present you with an appropriate price, Mr. Sirius."

’Let’s go, Duraians. We have to brainstorm. I also want the headquarters to send us the list of our best artifacts. Give them information about these drinks as well.’

The other Sovereign-rank Tamers who descended looked at each other, discussing internally using magic whispers.

But it was clear all of them felt frustrated regarding these conditions.

As they left, their discussion grew heavy and dark.

’He already has the energy drinks on him. In the next meeting, we can launch a careful assault on him.’

’Are you serious?’

’I think Mr. Bonecrat is making a point. I suppose you also have an artifact that can entrap a space master? He seems to have powerful means himself, and we are limited by the rank in this world as we can’t bring higher-ranked artifacts here.’

’We all have our means to deal with space users, so how about we all bring our Sovereign-rank artifacts and do this?’

’Are you all seriously considering this? We will lose future prospects.’

’Cut the bullshit. It’s clear that he has items in his storage, and we don’t need to kill him. What we need is to trap him and imprison him.’

’That rope could work, but Duraians have it.’

’...’

Well, inviting Duraians into this discussion was out of the question.

’We won’t take part in this.’ Razorshade Syndicate’s leader said, his voice deadpan.

The group of Razorshades left promptly after that, showing no interest in this.

’Ignore those psychos. Who else is in and out? Just know that we are the alliance, and this Mr. Sirius is the outsider. Whoever snitches will pay the price for breaking the alliance rules.’

’We are in. If we can imprison this Mr. Sirius by working together, we should do that. But as you all know, we will need to create a prison that can keep space users inside, and it has to be within the rules of this world.’

’In that case, there’s only one place that can make a prison of that kind.’

’Aetherforge Star Bastion...if we order in the next half an hour with the fastest option by paying extra, they should be able to craft a prison like that in 6 hours.’

’Great. We can keep him trapped for six hours using artifacts and our own traps easily. Once the prison is here, we’ll put him in it.’

’Let’s prepare the array flags and artifacts fast. The Duraians can come up with the price anytime, but we’ll need to get things here from up there.’

The best of the Sovereign-rank artifacts were obviously up there.

In their higher-ranked world, Sovereign-rank Tamers were more like middle-level power. Legendary-rank was an elite force, and Mythical-rank was the top dog.

In the end, the ones to participate in this scheme were the Lockham family, Jadelight clan, Magnus Coin Consortium, Spiritveil Sect, Stormjade Pavilion, Blazebound Sect, and Skyban Sect.

Seven of them participated while Duraians were a no-go as they were completely in the dark about this.

Aside from them, Razorshade Syndicate, Dreamforged Guild, and Ouroboros Hall didn’t participate in this.

All three of them had different reasons to say no to this.

’Ron, why did we not participate in that scheme?’ one of the purple-haired women among the Razorshade’s four peak Sovereign-rank Tamers asked the leader of the group.

’Yeah, what’s the reason, Ron?’ the middle-aged gray-bearded man with a bald head asked as well. ’I believe that can go pretty well. But now, those seven keep that Mr. Sirius.’

’Indeed. If they manage to control that Sirius, they’ll gain more power up there.’

’But they’ll be offending that organization as well,’ Dazmira said with a snort. ’They are digging their graves. Senior Ron knew that, hence he rejected it.’

’Girl, this is no place for you to talk. Let the elders talk.’

Ron, the black-haired man with a ponytail, having a slim middle-aged build, merely let out a chuckle as the discussion died down.

"Fools."

Ron’s eyes swept across the group. "Greed is good. But chasing it with ignorance is the road to downfall."

The group stopped.

Ron continued flying, and the group also followed.

"The reason I rejected this is rather simple. I followed my gut instinct." Ron’s eyes glinted. "This Mr. Sirius knows a lot, and he shows no fear in front of a large number of people of the same rank."

"Most importantly, the air he exuded...my gut is telling me that the scheme of those seven will fail."

...

On the other hand, Dreamforged Guild’s leader shared similar thoughts as Ron, but more points were also added because of the previous exchange they had with Mr. Sirius.

Aren had gifted a painting to Mr. Sirius, and in turn, he evolved his Pet Monster, giving it Legendary-rank potential.

So, adding to this, the group leader of Dreamforged Guild also felt the scheme might not work, so they rejected it.

Meanwhile, Ouroboros Hall’s reason not to partake in the scheme stemmed from Hall Master Varek’s request.

It was because John was Mr. Sirius’s apprentice and Hall Master Varek had a feeling that the two people Mr. Sirius mentioned could be Azelis and Jibril, who had also disappeared alongside John.

With these connections, Ouroboros Hall stayed out. Regrettably, they couldn’t inform Mr. Sirius about this because that would result in the downfall of Ouroboros Hall.

Whoever snitched would face collective assault from the rest.

That’s how this alliance has been in their higher-ranked world, and that’s how they stay safe against other forces and progress with competition.

Well, they were about to find out how John Wicked worked.

He gave them the reason to pull the trigger because he wanted to see if they would pull it.

...

John kept the island outside so that Duraians could come anytime once they decided on the price, but he went inside Monster Paradise.

Azelis had finished her breakthrough to Sovereign-rank but was still meditating for post-breakthrough stability.

The other eleven Emperor-rank Monsters also broke through to Sovereign-rank and were fighting against each other for post-breakthrough exercises far away from the main habitats.

Jibril has been playing football with the other Monsters since the meeting ended.

Meanwhile, John arrived on the second island.

It was time.
