Chapter 393: Mid-Air Wedding (Part 2)

Damien Sterling was definitely behind this! Joy appeared on Emma Hart’s face.

"Alright then! You go ahead and get ready, Kai Kai and I haven’t had breakfast yet! We’re heading out first," Grandma Hart said, waving at Emma before eagerly leaving the lounge. On her way, she passed the snack bar, filled with delicious treats she absolutely didn’t want to miss.

In the adjacent lounge, Damien Sterling, the groom, had a much simpler preparation process than the bride. After changing into his new attire, he stepped outside to greet the guests.

The attendees today were all family members and close friends. The invitations were prepared by Mr. Sterling Senior, and Mrs. Harrington was present, along with long-time associates of the Sterling Group. Matthew Taylor and Lucy Allen, Damien Sterling’s business partners, were also in attendance.

"Mr. Sterling, here’s a small token. I hope you like it," Matthew Taylor said, handing Damien a large red envelope.

Damien accepted the envelope, responding, "Thank you, Mr. Taylor. It’s really too kind of you. I hope you have a great time today."

After a brief chat, Damien moved on to greet other guests.

Meanwhile, at the fruit buffet, Harper Clark was holding a large plate overflowing with various tropical fruits, which were Ryan Garcia’s favorites. She was singing and eating, clearly in a great mood.

Suddenly, a woman in a black sequin dress approached her and whispered, "You seem to be in a good mood, Miss Clark."

Harper’s hand, which was about to bring a piece of pineapple to her mouth, paused mid-air. She set down the fork with the fruit and turned her head towards the woman. It was Sophia Greenwood.

Initially surprised, Harper remembered the long-standing connection between the Greenwood and Sterling families. It wasn’t odd for Sophia to be here. Calmly, she replied, "Ms. Greenwood, it’s been a while."

"Could we talk privately?" Sophia Greenwood asked, her hands tightly clasped together.

Harper felt a vague sense of unease but knew she couldn’t avoid this. She followed Sophia to the back of the plane, where they squeezed into a narrow restroom.

"Can you explain why you changed your mind about getting close to Damien Sterling? Don’t you like him anymore?" Sophia’s brow furrowed deeply.

Harper had anticipated this question. "Yes, I no longer have feelings for Mr. Sterling. I’m sorry, but after spending time with Ryan Garcia, I realized he’s the one I’ve been looking for." She smiled dreamily.

"You must be kidding!" Sophia was furious, feeling she had recruited a useless ally.

"Are you an idiot? Today is the perfect opportunity to act, and you’re really going to give it up?" Sophia demanded, her tone harsher than before.

"I’ve made up my mind! I don’t want to change anything. I’m sorry, but I can’t participate in Ms. Greenwood’s plan anymore." Harper coldly glanced at Sophia, then pushed open the restroom door to leave.

"Wait!" Sophia called out.

"What now?" Harper asked impatiently.

Sophia smiled sinisterly and pulled out her phone, showing a video. It was from the night at Sophia’s house—she had recorded it! She lightly touched the play button, and familiar voices began to play.

"That’s right, I don’t like Ryan Garcia. Being with him was just to get close to Mr. Sterling." Harper Clark’s face turned pale. This wasn’t right! The footage was accurate, the voice was hers, but she had never said those words!

"What do you want?!" Harper Clark, like an enraged wolf, was ready to pounce on Sophia Greenwood.

"Calm down, pretty girl!" Sophia Greenwood’s expression was eerily reminiscent of a villainous queen from an ancient palace drama, pretending to be kind after committing evil deeds.

She slowly approached Harper, placing a hand on her shoulder, whispering a few words in her ear, and then calmly walked away.

Tears streamed down Harper Clark’s face as she crouched down and cried uncontrollably.

"Get ready, the bride is about to make her entrance!" the wedding planner announced, entering Emma Hart’s lounge.

"Alright," Emma replied, standing up and heading for the door, with Amelia Davidson holding her hand tightly.

"Let’s go, my dear Emma!" Amelia smiled, leading Emma into the hall.

The hall was filled with guests, and the entire wedding scene was dreamily romantic. Grandma and Max were seated in the front row with the family.

With Amelia Davidson guiding her, Emma Hart walked through the crowd. In the center stood Damien Sterling, smiling as he watched his beautiful bride slowly approach.

Amelia handed Emma’s hand to Damien and said, "I’m entrusting my sister to you now."

Damien smiled softly and nodded.

The couple proceeded to the wedding stage. Speeches, vows, and the exchange of rings—everything proceeded swiftly.

After the ceremony, everyone moved to the adjacent snack bar to enjoy a meal. Accompanied by Damien Sterling and Amelia Davidson, Emma Hart returned to the lounge to change into a second, more convenient wedding dress.

"You look stunning today," Damien said boldly, despite others being present in the lounge, showing his affection for Emma.

"Alright, alright, I’m going to get some food. You two can chat!" Amelia waved nonchalantly and left the lounge.

"See you later," Emma said, temporarily bidding farewell to Damien as she turned to enter the lounge to change.

The door was slowly closing when Damien stopped it with his hand.

"What are you doing? That’s dangerous!" Emma exclaimed.

Damien reopened the door, stepped inside, and closed it behind him.

Now, they were alone in the lounge.

"I’m here to help you change," Damien said with a mischievous grin.

"I can do it myself," Emma replied, blushing.

This man had a mischievous look.

"No way," Damien said, wrapping his arms around Emma and sitting her on the vanity table. They started kissing passionately.

His hand slid to the zipper of her wedding dress. As the zipper smoothly came down, Emma’s smooth, tender back was revealed.

He pushed the dress aside, admiring Emma’s figure. Not bad, those workouts had paid off.

"Have you seen enough?" Emma asked, feeling extremely shy under Damien’s intense gaze.

Hearing her complaint, Damien’s smile grew even more wicked, as if he intended to steal her very soul.
