Chapter 349: The Three Titans Gather

Chapter 349: The Three Titans Gather

The snow had long melted away, and in the warm sunlight of early March, the rays streamed into Damien Sterling’s office, casting a glow on his broad shoulders.

Logan Harrington had arrived early, engaging in what appeared to be a casual conversation with Damien Sterling, at least to an outsider’s perspective.

"Bro, are you saying that the old man at your place is starting to team up with Ryan Garcia’s old man? You can’t be serious," Logan Harrington asked in disbelief, seeking confirmation from Damien Sterling.

While not entirely unexpected, the news was still unsettling. Two notorious figures joining forces naturally aroused suspicion.

"Previously, because Emma Hart got pregnant and gave birth to twin boys, the old man had to relinquish 80% of Sterling Group’s control under my pressure. With the power I already had, Mr. Sterling Senior could only get a minor share of the Sterling Group," Damien Sterling explained.

"He’s been the emperor of the Sterling family for his entire life. There’s no way he’d endure that for long. He’s an old wolf," Logan Harrington mused.

"I strongly suspect, with about 80% certainty, that he’s already joined forces with Kevin Garcia. The reasons remain to be investigated," Damien Sterling continued.

"I get what you mean," Logan Harrington replied, taking a sip of water before adding, "An old man like him still can’t stay out of trouble, huh? Oh, by the way, the wedding photos we took yesterday have been retouched. Want to see them?"

With that, Logan Harrington sprang from the couch, grabbing his phone and hurrying over to Damien Sterling, showing him the newly retouched wedding photos sent by the studio manager.

"Look, bro, these retouched photos are amazing. The frown lines between your eyebrows are gone! You look ten years younger! Hahaha!" Logan Harrington teased playfully. Who could blame him? Damien Sterling had always had a habit of frowning since childhood, resulting in deep lines between his brows.

Damien Sterling coughed and shot Logan Harrington a cold look, as if saying, "Laugh again, and I’ll have you thrown out."

Logan Harrington wisely retreated to the couch, sitting quietly and swallowing his lingering laughter.

"You’re not here just to show me wedding photos, are you?" Damien Sterling asked, a mischievous smile playing on his lips as he leaned on his wooden desk, hands clasped under his chin.

Logan Harrington mirrored Damien’s expression, "Patience, my friend. Once Ryan arrives, I’ll spill all the details."

"Oh?" Damien raised an eyebrow, intrigued.

Outside the glass door, the long-legged secretary knocked, followed by Ryan Garcia in his trendy outfit. Damien nodded, allowing Ryan to enter.

"Hey! Long time no see, old buddy!" Logan greeted Ryan with a wave.

"Logan Harrington!" Ryan replied, embracing Logan before sitting beside him.

"Well then, Mr. Harrington, shall we begin your performance?" Damien said with a grin.

"Absolutely!" Logan responded, pulling out his phone. Moments later, both Damien’s and Ryan’s phones buzzed with incoming notifications.

"Gentlemen, take a look. This is why Kevin Garcia is back for Brianna Baker!" Logan declared triumphantly.

Damien and Ryan’s eyes widened as they read the documents on their screens.

Logan watched their reactions with satisfaction. The secret files, hidden in Kevin Garcia’s safe, had been painstakingly retrieved by Logan over several months through his stealthy infiltrations into Kevin’s office. Everyone knew Kevin never trusted anyone with critical information, always securing it within his high-tech office security system. Yet, none of this could thwart Logan’s exceptional hacking skills.

"Who knew your childhood mischief would come in handy," Damien teased Logan.

"Hmph! Never underestimate me!" Logan retorted proudly, though he had indeed spent significant effort. He often cursed Kevin Garcia for his paranoia; the office had three separate alarm systems!

The document detailed Kevin Garcia Company’s emergency crisis plan. "The Garcia Group is facing bankruptcy?" Damien’s frown deepened in disbelief. The A-city-based conglomerate, known for its international reach, was on the brink of collapse.

"This can’t be possible," Ryan Garcia said, equally shocked.

The document revealed that the Garcia Group’s entertainment and dining sectors had suffered massive losses due to mismanagement, amounting to billions. Essentially, the Garcia Group was now an empty shell.

"How did Kevin Garcia squander all that money, and why is he after your mom?" Logan Harrington asked Ryan.

Ryan scoffed, "When they divorced, my mom took half of his assets, at least a few billion. Over the years, she’s made a fortune with her chain of hotels abroad. Maybe he’s planning a sob story."

Damien Sterling pondered deeply. Mr. Sterling Senior, as shrewd as he was, couldn’t be unaware of Kevin Garcia’s company’s dire situation. So why would he still help Kevin?

"Mr. Sterling, what’s on your mind?" Logan Harrington inquired, noticing Damien’s increasingly serious expression.

"Nothing. I’m just worried about Emma’s brother. I bet Kevin Garcia will target him next," Damien replied.

Kevin Garcia was an enigma, his actions unpredictable. Why was he targeting Brianna Baker? Why harm Max? And what was his connection with Mr. Sterling Senior?

As the three men brooded over these questions, a knock sounded on the glass door.

The long-legged secretary entered. Before she could speak, Ryan Garcia whistled at her, earning a fierce glare from Damien.

"Mr. Sterling, it’s already eight o’clock," the secretary announced. They realized they had been talking for four hours, mostly bantering, and had made no headway on substantial issues. More investigation was needed.

After having dinner together, they went their separate ways.

At the Sterling family villa, the children were already asleep, and Emma Hart was curled up on the sofa watching TV.

At eleven, Damien Sterling quietly unlocked the door. The TV was still on, but Emma had already fallen asleep in bed.

The sun shone brightly on a lazy weekend afternoon, casting a warm glow through the windows of Damien Sterling’s home office.

For once, he found some rare quiet time to indulge in his favorite pastime—reading. It was a habit instilled in him since childhood when Mr. Sterling Senior required him to finish three books a week. Though not as strict as before, Damien still liked to flip through a few pages whenever he could.
