Chapter 29: Unexpectedly Returning Home

Chapter 29: Unexpectedly Returning Home

Throughout the morning, his mind was restless, haunted by images of that infuriating woman looking half-dead.

Finally, he decided to return.

"Still haven’t eaten?" His voice was chillingly cold, causing shivers.

Mrs. Harris shook her head, her fear palpable; she dreaded Damian Sterling’s reproach.

Damian Sterling flicked his finger dismissively, his cold voice commanding, "Leave."

Mrs. Harris, worried, glanced between the frail Emma Hart on the bed and the terrifying Damian Sterling, hesitating to speak.

After all, she was just a servant. Reluctantly, she made her way to the door and left with reluctance.

The moment the door shut, Damian Sterling, his face a mask of coldness, strode towards the bed.

Emma Hart caught a glimpse of Damian Sterling from the corner of her eye, his presence chilling.

Frightened, she slightly shifted away.

What would this demon do next? Emma Hart was scared, but what good did her fear do?

Damian Sterling approached the bed in silence, picking up a bowl.

His gaze locked onto Emma Hart’s face as he swiftly grasped her cheek, forcing her mouth to pucker and open slightly.

Emma Hart struggled with all her might, trying to free herself from Damian Sterling’s strong grasp, but her strength was no match for his.

With difficulty, she murmured a struggling plea, "Let... me... go..."

Damian Sterling remained unmoved.

Emma Hart’s arms flailed in a struggle, her hands clawing and hitting Damian Sterling’s body.

Damian Sterling stepped over her, his long legs straddling her body, pinning down her arms and lower half.

He looked down at her fiercely, "You better obey me."

"And if I don’t?"

A dark shadow passed through Damian Sterling’s eyes; no one negotiated terms with him.

If not? Then he would show her the consequences of defying him.

With his free hand, Damian Sterling scooped up some porridge and brought it close to Emma Hart’s slightly open mouth, attempting to pour it through her lips.

However, Emma defiantly pushed it out with her tongue.

"I won’t eat," Emma declared, forcefully closing her mouth.

Damian tried several times to feed her, but most of the porridge ended up on her neck during their struggle.

Enraged, Damian Sterling abruptly grabbed the entire bowl, his grip tightening, and he poured it in relentlessly.

Emma Hart choked violently, coughing incessantly.

The porridge from her mouth slid down her cheeks, some even entering her nose, filling it completely.

Her coughs grew more violent...

"Drink!" Damian Sterling didn’t stop his actions despite Emma’s disheveled state, his tone still commanding and forceful.

Emma’s coughing intensified.

In the midst of their fierce altercation, the door suddenly burst open.

Mrs. Harris stumbled in, falling to her knees before Damian Sterling, "Sir, please, no more. Don’t trouble Miss Emma any further."

Tears fell from Mrs. Harris’s eyes as she looked at Emma Hart on the bed, tormented to a state unrecognizable.

Her heart ached deeply, pleading again, "Sir, please..."

Emma Hart coughed frantically.

Damian Sterling glared at the defiant woman before him.

Not eating for days – did she truly wish to die?

The ruthless business world had never enraged him like this, but Emma Hart infuriated him time and again, leaving him at a loss with this woman.

With a flick of his wrist, Damian Sterling released the porridge from his hand and rolled off Emma.

Mrs. Harris quickly rushed to Emma, turning her on the bed to help her cough more effectively.
