Overbearing CEO's Contract Love -
Chapter 233: Not Enough Kisses
Chapter 233: Not Enough Kisses
Damien Sterling swiftly pulled Emma Hart close, enveloping her in his arms and leaning in to brush his lips against hers. In the not-so-cramped space, Emma felt his body press tightly against hers, his proud nose brushing against her first, followed by his lips that covered hers in a delicate tasting before he teasingly pulled away, murmuring ambiguously, "I smell it."
Emma’s eyes widened in disbelief at the man before her. What sort of odd penchant did this CEO have? To smell what? The lingering taste in her mouth?
Every kiss Damien delivered was sudden, leaving Emma no time to react, her eyes widening with each encounter.
Suddenly, it was pitch black before her, as if something had covered her eyes. Then, a magnetic, tantalizing voice whispered near her ear, "Indulge a little." He was instructing her to close her eyes!
With the pressure of his lips, Emma slowly began to close her eyes, succumbing to the pleasure of the feast at her lips.
"Not enough yet?" A voice broke the spell, and Emma, opening her eyes, saw Damien staring at her. In embarrassment, she pushed him away.
Emma spat twice to the side in pretense.
"Shouldn’t I be the one spitting?" Damien observed from the side as Emma continued to overact.
Emma brushed her lips with her fingers as if to erase the traces of his taste.
"Perhaps Mr. Sterling has already savored sweeter lips tonight. Naturally, he wouldn’t care for mine," she remarked. Seeing no reaction from Damien, she looked up, only to be met with darkness again.
"Uh..."
Emma moved away from Damien’s lips and touched her mouth again. "You—"
As Damien feigned contemplation, he leaned in slightly, and Emma raised her arm to cover her mouth. "What are you doing? Isn’t it enough?"
"If you think I haven’t given you enough, then I’ll make sure you have your fill!" Damien declared dominantly, allowing no room for further words.
But when had Emma ever told him he hadn’t given enough? He had given plenty, indeed. Pain, trials, and so much more—he had given more than enough.
Emma Hart was just about to step inside her home when him assistant approached from behind, announcing, "Mr. Sterling, your plane is ready."
Before she could enter, Damien Sterling grabbed her from behind and pulled her back outside.
"What are you doing?" she exclaimed.
"Taking you somewhere," he replied cryptically.
"What place?" Emma asked as Damien led her directly towards a helicopter. Since being with Damien, Emma realized that helicopters were as common to him as buses were to others.
Flying at night required exceptional skill and caution, and to her surprise, there was no pilot. Emma initially thought the pilot was yet to arrive, but the assistant merely handed them safety helmets and left, leaving just Damien and her alone.
Emma glanced around nervously as Damien escorted her onto the helicopter. Instead of following her in, he walked around to the other side and took the pilot’s seat himself. Shocked, Emma watched him. "You’re flying?"
"Why not?" Damien asked as he confidently began to operate the controls. Clutching the safety belt tightly, Emma was skeptical. Knowing Damien’s penchant for expensive hobbies, she could believe his skill in those, but flying seemed too perilous just for amusement.
Damien noticed her apprehension and took her hand, feeling its coolness. "You really think so little of me," he said with a wry smile, gripping her hand tightly. "If I hadn’t had to take over the family business, I would have been a pilot by now."
Damien had secretly enrolled in flight school and passed all the exams, hoping to follow his dream of flying. However, his family had vehemently opposed it, eventually forcing him to pursue a finance degree at NYU, shattering his pilot dreams. Yet, Damien never forgot his ambition to soar through the skies, especially the youthful dream of flying with the woman he loved.
Holding Emma Hart’s hand firmly, Damien Sterling gazed at her intently. "Wouldn’t dying together be the ultimate bliss?" he asked with a solemn tone.
What? Emma stared back at Damien in disbelief. Was he tired of living? Because she certainly was not. Yet, looking into his earnest eyes, feeling the strength of his grip, a sense of security washed over her. It was as if Damien’s presence cast a spell, making her feel at peace. Gradually, her anxiety settled, and she thought, perhaps dying with him wouldn’t be so terrifying after all.
It was a fleeting, bizarre thought, and Emma quickly reminded herself that she wasn’t ready to give up on life just yet.
"Are you ready?" Damien asked with a smile, turning to look off into the distance. As he let go of her hand, Emma instinctively reached out, touching his hand again until she realized she had to let go. Her eyes, however, couldn’t stray from his face.
As the helicopter blades whirred against the night sky, blending with the rustling of the trees, they ascended slowly. It was only then that Emma noticed how beautifully the city sparkled below them, like stars against the darkness. Above was the vast expanse of the night sky, and below mirrored it with twinkling lights.
Lines of light connected, creating stunning visuals across the canvas of the city. Energized by the view, Emma exclaimed with wonder, "Wow, it’s so beautiful!"
Turning excitedly to Damien, she seemed eager to share every detail with him. "Look, look! What’s that long trail of light? Why are some areas dark and others so bright? And that shape, doesn’t it look like you when you’re angry?"
Emma laughed heartily, wrapped up in her own amusement, while Damien watched her with a fond, indulgent smile. "Then try to find one that looks like you," he teased.
Emma Hart had been joyfully observing the clouds above, but Damien Sterling’s comment, despite his affable expression, seemed to stiffen the air around her. Even with a hint of warmth in his demeanor, she somehow preferred him distant and reserved. Now, feeling slightly embarrassed to look at him directly, she turned her head away.
