Otherworld Advance Team
Chapter 679 - 672: Encouragement from Momo

Chapter 679: Chapter 672: Encouragement from Momo

With a fearful and restless mindset, Tangmo continued to flip over to the next page. Moumou seemed to have the same intuition as the roundworms in her stomach, knowing what she would think after reading these words. And so, just like a prophecy, she left answers to resolve her doubts page after page.

"Don’t worry. I won’t harm any of you anymore. Now, I can only be active for a little while when you’re asleep and can’t make any excessive movements."

Since when did she become so agreeable? Seeing these lines, Tangmo could only think of this question. Of course, she didn’t plan on guessing anymore, as she knew that the answer she was looking for would be on the next page. So, she continued to turn the pages.

"You thought I was sleeping, but in fact, I wasn’t at all. I was quietly observing all of your moves through your eyes."

This sentence evidently resolved the question in Tangmo’s heart. Moumou had not fallen asleep but had been active all along. But the strange thing was, if she hadn’t fallen asleep, why couldn’t Tangmo hear her voice anymore? With this thought in mind, she kept turning the pages.

"You’re so domineering, seizing the majority of my living space. Now, I don’t even have the ability to talk to you. You’re the older sister, shouldn’t you be more modest?"

The words Moumou left behind answered Tangmo’s question. It was clear that due to Tangmo’s strong control over their shared body, she monopolized Moumou’s control rights, causing Moumou to lose the ability to talk. Now, Tongmo has to merely exist inside of its body.

"Sometimes I really don’t understand why you like Luoer so much. You ask me if I like him. Of course, I do, otherwise, why would I wish to monopolize him? But I’m not like you. I know how to strive for what I want, you don’t. All you know is to cause trouble and hand over opportunities to others for nothing!"

When she turned to the next page, the words Moumou left behind had obviously increased. However, from these words, Tangmo can somewhat grasp the true thoughts in Moumou’s heart. As long as she doesn’t hurt Luoer, Tangmo feels that she can forgive her.

After all, they coexist in one body, and she still addresses Tangmo as the older sister. In regards to this invisible younger sister, alough Tangmo feels a headache, she does not reject her existence. As long as she doesn’t control her own body again and threaten the safety of Luoer and everyone else, it’s okay.

She continued flipping to the next page, where more lengthy lines were penned: "You’re really a fool, a blockhead. You become gloomy just because of a few words Luoer said. You only know the first half of the prophecy, but you don’t know the second half. You are a dwarf hybrid. Who do you think will eventually accompany Luoer in the end?"

Seeing the words Moumou left, somehow, Tangmo felt warmth in her heart. The initially dispirited spirit instantly improved a lot.

She continued flipping to the next page where the text was very bold. Evidently, Moumou was very excited when she wrote this: "Get up, no more sleeping, go be busy, go work, go interact with Luoer. What’s the point of being so decadent every day? You don’t have any ambition. If you have lost your fighting spirit, then I don’t mind stepping out and causing a bloodbath again."

Seeing these words, Tangmo couldn’t help but smile heartily. She seemed to be able to imagine Moumou’s frantic expression when she wrote this.

Of course, she couldn’t forget that Moumou still posed a threat to the other members of the Advance Team, especially Luoer. No matter what, she had to ensure that Moumou could not control her body, otherwise it would be disastrous.

With a saddened spirit, she continued to turn over to the next page. This should be the last of Moumou’s words: "If there’s anything, leave a message for me in this notebook, and I’ll reply when you’re asleep. PS: Actually, even if you don’t write, I know your questions because your innermost voice is too loud!"

"She knows what I’m thinking?"

Seeing this line, Tangmo was startled and her face reddened again. If that were the case, didn’t it mean that Moumou knew about her unrealistic fantasies from before?

At this moment, Tangmo took a deep breath, steadied her trembling body, then found a pen from her backpack, flipped to the back of the page, and wrote a message on it.

"First, you’re not allowed to control my body to do evil deeds or hurt others anymore; Second, you’re not allowed to do strange things with Luoer without my knowledge; Third, you’re not allowed to speculate on my thoughts, everyone should have their own secrets, what you’re doing is infringing on my privacy; And fourth, stop wasting paper by only writing one line per page!"

Without taking a glance at the words he had just written, Tangmo immediately closed the notebook, shoved it deep into his backpack, and let out a sigh of relief.

"Eh, Sister Moumou, why did you get out of bed by yourself?" Hu Daoke entered just as she finished, a syringe in hand and a cup of water in the other.

"Oh, I’m fine now. Is Teacher Zhu in the office? I will help her right away!" Tangmo said, and walked straight out of the cabin, passing by Hu Daoke.

She looked much more energized compared to before. Watching her leave, Hu Daoke stood there, stunned, for a long while. After a long silence, he muttered to himself, "What on earth just happened?"

Everyone attributed Tangmo’s sudden recovery to her wounds being healed, but only Luoer knew the truth. He found it strange. She had just experienced a large shock; how could she recover so soon?

As their research for the paper gained momentum, Zhuyan Yu and Nightingale started to spend all their free time on it. Zhuyan Yu even got permission from Luoer to have Feng live with her, so she could collect data from her whenever needed.

She adored Feng. Aside from Feng’s unique magical constitution, her personality was also quite appealing.

Probably due to her limited interaction with outsiders, Feng was pure and simple-minded. Although she could converse normally, she seemed a little foolish and docile, which made her seem like a pet.

She performed excellently in battles, but her ability to survive outside of battles was rather poor; she even had problems feeding herself.

She said that her meals were usually prepared by the Prophet. She didn’t know how to cook at all. All she did was randomly cut off a piece of meat from her prey and roast it over fire, without oil or salt. She would eat it right after it was cooked, not caring about the burnt and potentially carcinogenic parts.

In her spare time, Zhuyan Yu loved playing with Feng, like one would with a doll. Nightingale had a lovely little sister, Fulajie’er, and Zhuyan Yu considered Feng her little sister, even sharing a bed with her. Luoer worried that Zhuyan Yu might not want to return Feng when the Advance Team left.

It seemed Zhuyan Yu had never seen Feng kill before; she regarded Feng as a sheltered girl next door based solely on her appearance and personality. However, even Luoer and the rest of the Advance Team dared not underestimate her, having witnessed her terrifying combat abilities.

With the continued interrogation, on the fourth day after the captive was brought to the airship, under the relentless brutal torture of the High-peak people, they finally learned the whereabouts of the virus sample and the anti-gravity engine.

According to the captive, after the Reconnaissance Aircraft was shot down, their leader immediately ordered a team to load all the stuff from the aircraft into two horse-drawn carriages, which then secretly left in the southeast direction.

On the map, the Roen River was to the southeast of the crash site. Their worst fear had probably come to pass: the adversaries might have already put the items on a ship heading to Yazhi City downstream.

Nevertheless, they decided to check it out, hoping to intercept them before they reached the ferry site and retrieve the virus sample and the anti-gravity engine.

Upon receiving the information, the air fleet immediately changed direction, making their way grandly toward the Roen River. While the speed of the air fleet was not exactly fast, it was still faster than the primitive ground transportation, and they should arrive at the Roen River soon.
