Otherworld Advance Team
Chapter 669 - 662: Boarding the Flagship

Chapter 669: Chapter 662: Boarding the Flagship

Once the Advance Team stepped onto the transport plane, it began to lift off and headed towards the nearby airship fleet. After a brief flight, the transport plane ascended to an altitude of more than 500 meters and circled around the fleet. At this point, the Advance Team had the opportunity to closely observe the six airships of the Ronisca Air Force from above.

Looking down, the first thing they saw were two High-peak class main battle airships. The main purpose of these airships was ground attack, hence nearly all of their firepower was deployed at the bottom. At the top, there were only a few weakly fortified anti-aircraft gun turrets, and at the aft of the ship was a landing platform dedicated to the take-off and landing of transport planes.

The ground support ship had a similar shape to the main battle airship, but it had more landing platforms on the top. There was also a short runway in the center of the ship, specifically for high-speed reconnaissance aircraft. On both sides of the ship were four hatches each, used to deploy landing craft that carried ground assault teams.

With the ground anti-air defense neutralized, the fleet’s transport and reconnaissance aircraft began to surge out, busily moving around the fleet like bees flying around the queen bee.

After circling once, the transport plane steadily landed on the landing platform of a supply ship at the rear of the fleet. It seemed that the flagship of this aerial fleet was the supply ship.

Guided by the ground crew, the transport plane safely parked on the landing platform. No sooner had Luoer and the rest stepped out than a dwarf ground crew member extended his hand, indicating for them to hand over their weapons.

Luoer had no objection to this and handed over his weapon readily and also handed them the prisoner. The issue arose when it came to Feng.

She was tightly clutching her scabbard, staring coldly at the dwarven ground crew who tried to approach her. The dwarf looked helplessly up at Luoer, seeking assistance.

"Let her keep her sword. After all, it’s not a firearm," Luoer suggested.

At his words, the dwarf ground crew thought for a moment and begrudgingly nodded his head. He didn’t continue to make things difficult for Feng and allowed her to enter the transport plane with her sword.

Following along the metal platform, the group arrived at the door of the cabin and entered the belly of this aerial beast. Led by the dwarf ground crew, they smoothly made their way down the corridor to a cabin.

As soon as they walked into the cabin, they immediately sensed the rapid fluctuations of magic in the air. Suddenly, Fulajie’er appeared mid-air and cheerfully pounced onto Nightingale who was reading a book nearby.

"Sister!" Fulajie’er hovered around her neck and let out a joyful sound.

"Back already?" Nightingale lifted her head, a faint smile on her face and her voice softened.

"Oh dear, every time I see you all, you look so bedraggled," Zhuyan Yu stood up from before the table and greeted them with a beaming smile.

"We’re used to it," Luoer laughed. Seeing Zhuyan Yu approach him, he instinctively gave a slight bow to show his respect for her.

"Still so formal," Zhuyan Yu smiled and patted Luoer’s head. Although Luoer was already in his thirties, compared to Zhuyan Yu, he was still much younger, and willingly accepted her kind gesture.

"Teacher Zhu, why don’t you greet me first!" Tangmo came up to Zhuyan Yu and abruptly hugged her.

"Long time no see, Little Momo. You haven’t changed a bit." Zhuyan Yu, taken aback by the embrace, broke into a bitter smile.

Luoer was a rule-abiding kind of person, so he held his principles in high regard. Zhuyan Yu was not only his magic teacher but also a current major in the army. Because of this, whenever he was in her presence, Luoer could not help but show his respect for her.

"Good job, you must have worked hard. How’s the situation?" Rubbing Tangmo’s head, Zhuyan Yu looked at Luoer and asked.

"The anti-aircraft positions have all been destroyed, and we captured a prisoner. If possible, we might be able to learn the whereabouts of the virus from him," Luoer reported seriously.

"Where is he?" Zhuyan Yu asked.

"The High-peak people have him locked up," Luoer explained.

"Well done, you guys did great! As expected from Wang Xu’s Advance Team," Zhuyan Yu said with a smile, her gaze sweeping over each member of the Advance Team before resting on Feng, who had recently joined them.

"Since when did Headquarters send you a young girl from Earth? How come I didn’t know?" Seeing the obvious East Asian features on Feng, Zhuyan Yu assumed she was from Earth.

"Oh," Luoer paused before quickly introducing, "This is Feng, Feng as in ’Fengye’. She’s not a non-human race, she’s from the Otherworld. We brought her back from the infected area."

"Feng? That’s a very East Asian name," Zhuyan Yu scrutinized Feng with a smile lingering on her face.

"Actually, you can also call her Fengye. Just that we’re used to calling her Feng," Luoer explained.

"Is she the one you mentioned who could ignore virus infections?" Zhuyan Yu asked.

"Yes." Luoer nodded.

"Sure enough, she’s a beauty. No wonder you were reluctant to hand her over to the Otherworld Research Center." Zhuyan Yu looked at Luoer and said with a smile.

"Uh, that..." Hearing her words, Luoer scratched his head embarrassedly.

"Don’t worry, I don’t like those people at the Otherworld Research Center either, they’re all crazies. The fact you didn’t hand her over to them proves that you’re quite reliable." Zhuyan Yu said, and waved at Feng.

"No need to be scared, she’s not a bad person." Seeing Feng stare at himself, Luoer comforted gently.

Hearing his words, Feng nodded vaguely, then advanced one step, standing close to Zhuyan Yu.

"How old are you this year?" Zhuyan Yu put her hand on Feng’s head, rubbed it while asking. She was almost defenseless against young and adorable little girls, she just wants to hold everyone she sees.

"I don’t know." Feng blinked her eyes and answered truthfully.

"Why does she seem a bit odd?" Zhuyan Yu said, looking involuntarily towards Luoer.

"Ahem, she, is a bit... expressionless, she doesn’t really know how to express her feelings." Luoer explained hesitantly.

"Well, that’s considered a kind of cuteness!" Hearing Luoer’s explanation, Zhuyan Yu’s smile returned to her cheeks.

"Teacher Zhu, don’t be deceived by Feng’s fragile appearance, she’s actually very powerful." Tangmo looked at Feng, then said to Zhuyan Yu.

"How powerful?" Zhuyan Yu asked curiously.

"Within a 50 meters radius, no matter how many enemies there are or whether they have guns or swords, they are no match for Feng. Within a few minutes, she can slaughter them all." Tangmo said boastfully.

"Is she this powerful?" Zhuyan Yu looked involuntarily at the long sword in Feng’s hand.

"Why is the sword embossed with the Uzistas family emblem in her hands?" Zhuyan Yu couldn’t help frowning and asked.

"Ah, Teacher, you know the Uzistas family?" Luoer asked, somewhat surprised.

"Of course I know, isn’t Feliz from the Uzistas family?" Zhuyan Yu shrugged and answered.

Upon Zhuyan Yu’s reminder, Luoer remembered that after Feliz was brought back to the headquarters, she went to study at Haiya Academy with some people from the headquarters. He wondered how she was doing there now.

"So, is Feliz doing well?" Luoer couldn’t help asking.

"Rest assured, with the help of inhibiting medicine, her body won’t have any problems. She just needs to return to the Otherworld regularly to mitigate any symptoms." Zhuyan Yu reassured.

"That’s good..." Hearing her words, Luoer sighed with relief.

"You guys haven’t answered my question yet. Was this sword given to you by a member of the Uzistas family?" Zhuyan Yu asked.

"Oh, that was a gift from Feliz’s brother, Carter." Tangmo nearby hurried to explain.

"Is Luoer not angry?" Zhuyan Yu asked with a smile.

"Huh, why should I be angry?" Luoer blinked, asked somewhat puzzled.

"Teacher, stop saying things randomly. You know, Carter just hopes that we can take care of his sister, so he shows goodwill towards us." Tangmo pouted and explained discontentedly.
