Chapter 661 - 654: Air Fleet
Chapter 661: Chapter 654: Air Fleet
Early the next morning, Luoer sensed the arrival of the magic messenger, so he hurriedly got up to check the message sent by Li Si. Although it had been relayed many times, not much time was wasted.
The message was short, just two lines, informing Luoer that air support had arrived and asked him to arrange for Fulajie’er to take off and establish direct communication, and receive orders from the front-line headquarters.
Seeing the message, Luoer, despite his hoarse voice, began to call for Fulajie’er.
"What’s the matter?" Despite not sleeping for a day and a night, Fulajie’er still seemed very energetic. Although Luoer was reluctant to admit it, Fulajie’er almost didn’t need to rest.
"You, are you alright?" Luoer coughed, then cleared his throat, looking at Fulajie’er who had suddenly appeared before him with concern.
"Hm, why are you suddenly worried about me? Of course, I am great!" Fulajie’er tilted her head and batted her eyes, responding.
"I’m really sorry for troubling you all this time and not giving you a chance to rest," Luoer said apologetically.
"Eh, but this is what I am supposed to do, why are you apologizing?" Fulajie’er asked confusedly.
"Well," Luoer scratched his cheek, sounding quite awkward, "I didn’t have a chance to let you relax, instead always giving you tasks."
"So, you’re feeling guilty, right?" Fulajie’er responded with a warm smile, winding her arms around Luoer’s neck.
"Uh, well, because you’re not really an Advance Team member," Luoer hesitated to respond.
Hearing his words, Fulajie’er’s face changed immediately. She floated before him and asked sternly, "So you’re still treating me as an outsider?"
"Uh, that’s not what I meant," Luoer quickly waved his hands to explain, "Even though you’re a part of the team, I always feel like you’ve had to give more than anyone else. I feel really guilty."
"Then, you are going to compensate me!" Hearing his words, Fulajie’er’s smile returned to her face.
"Of course, I have to," Luoer replied, feeling a bit guilty.
"That’s better. You’re so dense, don’t know how to speak..." Fulajie’er muttered quietly with a smile, feeling a wave of happiness welling up in her heart.
"So, you called me here just to say these cheesy words?" After being happy for a while, Fulajie’er coughed and looked serious again.
"Of course not," Luoer pointed to the sky, "Our air support has arrived. Could you please go connect with them for direct communication?"
"You should’ve said it earlier. I thought you were going to drive me away." Fulajie’er huffed in feigned annoyance, then disappeared, flying towards the sky at lightning speed.
Luoer looked up at the sky; it was covered with dark clouds, making the atmosphere seem a bit gloomy. However, the recent weather had been sunny with occasional clouds, so he figured the clouds should clear up by noon.
After Fulajie’er left, Luoer sighed with relief, then looked around at the others, his gaze focused on Feng, who was meditating on a blanket.
"Feng!" Luoer gently called her name.
"Hmm?" Feng was always on high alert. As soon as she heard Luoer’s call, she immediately opened her eyes and looked up at him.
"How is your energy replenishment going?" Luoer asked.
"It’s full!" Feng answered honestly.
"Very good," Luoer nodded, then gestured and said, "On guard!"
"Got it!" Feng nodded, promptly standing up from his blanket and, started packing his stuff.
Without Fulajie’er’s superpowered radar, Luoer now had to rely on Feng’s sense. Despite its radius being just fifty metres, it was plenty for the Advance Team. Besides, Feng had completely restored her magic, and these people probably couldn’t handle her anymore even if they attempted another attack.
It had been quite long since Fulajie’er left. Luoer checked the time and a half-hour had already passed. The Advance Team members had all woken up and started packing their stuff. This couldn’t stop Luoer from worrying about her safety now.
"Luoer!!!!"
Just as he was restless, suddenly Fulajie’er’s excited voice blasted from behind him. He felt a magical fluctuation in the air at the same time, and Fulajie’er’s figure appeared once again before his eyes.
It was mentioned previously that Fulajie’er’s voice was a spiritual one, more of a mental induction. Her voice doesn’t possess the concept of sound waves, and only those who come in contact with her soul domain can hear her. Thus, no matter how loudly she shouts, only the people nearby would hear.
Of course, Feng was an exception. Her soul domain was as broad as her perception. Therefore, upon hearing Fulajie’er’s explosive voice, she instinctively covered her ears. However, frowning, she shot Fulajie’er an unhappy look.
"You scared me, don’t get so excited." Luoer wasn’t fooling her; she almost scared the heart disease out of him. He held his chest, speaking with lingering fear.
"Sister, it’s Sister, I saw her. Ahhhh, I saw Sister!" Fulajie’er excitedly mumbled incoherently due to her excessive excitement.
"Sister?" Luoer was taken aback for a moment, and then he realised, "You mean Sister Nightingale? Is she on the airboat as well?"
Fulajie’er’s sister was Nightingale, although they were the same age, their personalities were entirely different. Nightingale was more mature and stable, whereas Fulajie’er was more lively.
"Yes, yes!" Regaining her composure after some difficulty, Fulajie’er excitedly confirmed, "There are several huge airboats above the cloud layer. Sister is on one of them!"
"Wait, did you say several airboats?" Hearing her words, Luoer almost couldn’t believe his ears.
He looked at Cheng Ziang who, after a while, hesitatingly looked back at him, "Could it be... Ronisca’s Air Fleet?"
"What did your sister tell you?" Luoer asked Fulajie’er urgently.
"Eh, Sister asked me to tell you guys that Ronisca’s Air Fleet might provide air support for you guys anytime. The Frontline Headquarters requests the Advance Team to, firstly, coordinate with the air fleet to remove all air defence points, and secondly, to assist the air fleet in locating the wreckage of the reconnaissance aircraft and tracing the whereabouts of the virus." While repeating these words, Fulajie’er’s tone finally became serious.
"Did I hear that right? We will receive support from the air fleet? That’s amazing!" Upon hearing this news, Hu Daoke was the first to get excited.
"Did she say anything else?" Luoer contemplated for a moment and continued to ask calmly.
"Uh, she said, use a red smoke bomb to mark the air raid area. Uh... use a blue signal flare to mark the landing area for the transport plane. But, in principle, all landing requests from transport planes are denied until all the air defense points have been eliminated... uh, if, if you don’t have signal flares, you can request the air force to drop some." Fulajie’er blinked her eyes and tried to recite Nightingale’s words.
Hearing her words, Luoer looked down to check out the signal flares he had on him. There were about twenty or so left, not so much in need of immediate replenishment.
However, the reason for Headquarters to send Ronisca’s Air Fleet was probably clear. It was to confront those who attacked the reconnaissance aircraft and snatched the virus, as well as the forces behind them, and find the virus sample at all costs.
"Did she say anything else?" Luoer continued to ask.
"Uh, uh, right, she also said, in principle, before the air defense points have been removed, the air fleet would not enter the near-Earth bombing orbit but select the high-altitude bombing mode. So when requesting an air raid, ground forces must ensure a minimum safety distance of two hundred meters. If you need anything, you can ask Fula, Fula, that’s me, ask me to contact the air fleet!"
"Nice!" Upon hearing Fulajie’er’s words, Luoer also inevitably began to get excited.
At present, the Advance Team was always at a disadvantage when facing the enemy. Although Feng was assisting as a powerful teammate, she still had limitations. Now that the Air Fleet was coming for reinforcement, it inevitably increased the Advance Team’s strength. No matter if there were several hundred enemies, even if two divisions came, Luoer was still confident he could handle them.
