"Um, this..." Seeing her smile at him, Wang Xu was immediately tongue-tied, scratching his head, unsure of what to say.

The two looked towards the door to see a girl with Otherworldly looks timidly standing doorstep, holding a tray.

"Hmm, it seems like your base has a lot of maids!" Zhuyan Yu asked him.

"Um, no, that is, she’s called Daier, and she was brought here by Luo’er..." Wang Xu hastily explained.

"Oh, Luo’er again, that little Romeo." Zhuyan Yu shook her head and gave a resigned smile.

"Um, Chief, Chief Wang, I’ve come to bring you some tea." Daier spoke with a little stutter, and there was only one cup of tea on her tray.

"For you, Chief Wang!" Zhuyan Yu turned around, smiling and teasing him.

"Why are you nervous?" Zhuyan Yu asked, a puzzled look on her face.

Daier, timid and uneasy, walked in and carefully placed the teacup on the desk but kept glancing at Zhuyan Yu, a hint of grievance in her eyes.

Zhuyan Yu felt her gaze and turned to meet it. As soon as their eyes met, Daier quickly looked away in a fluster.

After placing the teacup, Daier slowly walked towards the door carrying the tray. It was clear she didn’t want to leave, as she walked slowly and kept wanting to look back, but she never dared to turn around. Eventually, she left the room hesitantly.

Watching her leave, Zhuyan Yu sighed deeply and shook her head at Wang Xu, "You’re such a straight man. You’ve been a single straight man for forty years, you’re almost turning into steel."

"Why would you say that?" Wang Xu asked, looking confused.

Zhuyan Yu didn’t answer but glanced at the cup of tea on the table, then shook her head. After a moment of silence, she said in a low voice, "I’ll go back first. I don’t need to be present for the meeting with Ilanadale. If there’s nothing else, don’t disturb me, I want to be alone."

"Why are you in such a hurry to go back to your room?" Wang Xu asked her as she was leaving.

Zhuyan Yu turned to look at him and asked after a sigh, "Did Luo’er tell you the story about his parents?"

"He did, what about it?" Wang Xu asked, stunned.

Zhuyan Yu glanced at him, then turned around and walked towards the door, saying without looking back, "Nothing, I’m going back first."

Watching her leave, Wang Xu stood dazedly for quite a while before it finally dawned on him. He asked the empty doorway with a bitter smile, "What does it matter whether he told me or not?"

Everyone was busy preparing for the impending meeting. On Earth, Lin Wei and others had been delayed due to some issues and might arrive a bit late. However, that didn’t matter too much, as Princess Nina wasn’t leaving immediately, so they weren’t pressed for time.

The second day arrived quickly, and the airboat scheduled to shuttle between Ilanadale and the base emerged in the sky as a giant whale. The base was completely prepared by this point, with all the hired soldiers standing ready for combat. Some Earth workers also wore soldier’s uniforms, holding guns in formation to welcome Nina’s arrival. They were originally military civil servants, thus when they put on the uniforms and formed ranks, they looked professional and didn’t disgrace their original roles.

As the airboat slowly approached the base, a transport plane first flew to the landing pad. It then took Li Si and others aboard, preparing to welcome Princess Nina’s arrival. Meanwhile, on the ground, almost all the staff at the headquarters stopped their work to witness this momentous occasion.

In a while, two transport planes flew out of the hovering airboat and landed slowly on the landing pad. Then, the hatch opened, and a group of female Elf guards walked out, supporting Nina slowly off the transport plane.

At this moment, Nina had changed into the traditional dress of the Elf Race, with an exquisite and stunning headpiece adorning her hair. This elf-like headpiece allowed her beauty to be unreservedly displayed. Nina had lightly made-up her face, and in between her charming smiles, she was simply too radiant to be described. As soon as she stepped off the transport plane, the crowd erupted with surprised exclamations.

Upon seeing his mother disembark from the transport plane, Luo’er, representing the headquarters, quickly adjusted his clothes and was the first to step forward. He respectfully bowed slightly and said, "Mother, welcome to the headquarters."

"Hmm," replied Nina, with a knowing smile. She reached out her fair and delicate arm, adjusting Luo’er’s clothes gently. She grinned and said, "You’re as handsome as your father now."

"Thank you for the compliment, mother." Luo’er smiled in response.

Straight after, Wang Xu approached and extended his hand, saying in a respectful tone, "Princess Nina, my name is Wang Xu. I am the highest-ranking officer of this forward command post. On behalf of the headquarters, I welcome your Arrival!"

"Nice to meet you, Chief Wang," Nina extended her hand to grasp his, smiling as she spoke.

"You’re too kind." Wang Xu nodded in response.

After Nina disembarked, the Advance Team saw a familiar face being helped down by the Elf soldiers.

At this moment, Luoya was wearing a traditional dress of the Elf Race, a simple long skirt, matched with a beautiful headpiece. Helped by the Elf soldiers, she disembarked nervously, standing behind Nina and scanning her surroundings with a slightly fearful gaze. When she saw Ziang and his team, she finally relaxed a little and stealthily waved at them.

"You must be Luoya, welcome." Wang Xu said with a smile.

"Luoya, Chief Wang is greeting you." Bringing Luoya forward, Nina pointed this out to her.

"Hello..." Luoya stuttered, extending her hand.

"Oh, there’s no need to be so nervous, just treat this place like your home. Luo’er, show your sister around, let her get used to the surroundings," said Wang Xu.

"Yes," Luo’er nodded, extending his hand towards Luoya and saying, "Luoya, let’s go."

"Oh," Luoya responded. She then turned her somewhat uneasy gaze to Nina and was led away by Luo’er.

"Princess Nina, the banquet is ready. Chief Lin will be here soon. Let me show you to your seat, please." Wang Xu offered.

"Thank you!" Nina nodded, glancing over at Luoya being led away by Luo’er. She wasn’t particularly worried about Luoya. After all, she was among familiar faces. Luoya should not feel out of place here, right?

"Luoya, come here!" Standing to the side, Tangmo excitedly hopped about, calling for Luoya.

Before the meeting, Li Si specifically arranged for Hu Daoke to hold back Tangmo and Baiyue. This was a formal occasion, and they needed to maintain their decorum. It wouldn’t do to have them behaving recklessly.

"Hello..." On arriving in front of the Advance Team, the tension gripped in Luoya’s heart finally eased a bit.

"Wow, it’s been so long. You’ve become even more beautiful!" As soon as Luoya approached, Tangmo threw her arms around her.

"Calm down a bit, don’t be a siscon!" Ziang intervened, pulling Tangmo away, who clung to Luoya like sticky candy.

Actually, when the Advance Team and Luoya parted ways, Tangmo and Luoya were on fairly good terms. But Tangmo was always an outgoing and energetic girl. She didn’t comprehend the concept of unfamiliarity; everyone was an old friend returning in her eyes.
