The rocket launcher unleashed a massive flare. The payload launched from the tube and was aimed directly at the enemy gun position. The engine hadn’t even fully started when it splattered onto the enemy’s faces.

Worried about damaging the buildings behind her cover, Baiyue used a rocket launcher loaded with high-explosive warheads instead of armor-piercing rounds. The rocket made a direct hit on the freshly mounted machine gun and exploded instantly. It shattered the cover and scattered the shattered remains of the gun and its operators.

When they stormed in, a few researchers were still operating the machine, oblivious to the situation outside. One researcher tried to draw his guns in retaliation but was instantly shot down by the mercenaries.

"Subdue them!" Tangmo entered the room, waved her hand, and the mercenaries streamed in, quickly getting the researchers under control.

"Good, let’s get to work!" Nightingale completely ignored the researchers as she walked in, unzipped the backpack, and revealed the rune module inside.

"Alright," Tangmo nodded, then assigned tasks to the mercenaries, "First squad on hallway duty; second squad inside the room!"

"Copy that!" The mercenaries nodded, beginning to split up and take action.
