"Should I... make contact with the Church Court?" Li Si asked tentatively.

Li Si looked around, then stepped closer and whispered, "The Church Court is isolated and helpless now, they have practically offended the entire Western world. Although America, UK, France haven’t lost a single man, they obviously don’t want to deal with the Church Court and seem to be intending to isolate them. This is the perfect window for us to engage with the Church Court. Right now, they should be in a bit of a panic. After all, no mere organization can offend the entire Earth."

"Are you sure they would be willing to engage with us?" Wang Xu queried, brow furrowed.

"I’m only guessing," Li Si said, "If I were the Pope, I would certainly be looking for potential allies. Don’t forget, the Church Court’s position of power isn’t secure, as we’ve seen from the incident. When the Church Court called for Otherworld countries to resist the invasion of Earth’s armies, no one heeded their call. Clearly, with Earth’s increasing influence, the hold of the Church Court over these countries has been waning. Their Pope should be desperate to consolidate the Church Court’s control."

"So you think they would choose to engage with us?" Wang Xu asked again, brow furrowed.

Li Si sighed and said, "Earth has many countries, but only five with substantial influence. And these five belong to two camps. If the Church Court has offended one camp, wouldn’t their next task be to align with the other?"

Wang Xu lowered his head, considering Li Si’s suggestion.

"I don’t think everyone in the Church Court is ignorant. Their conservative rejection of Earth’s technology is merely to maintain their own power. Now that Earth’s power is quickly surpassing their influence, they surely must realize their situation." Li Si explained.

"Even the corrupt and conservative Qing Dynasty knew how to modernize the country after foreign invasions. The Church Court, being a ruling group that has existed for thousands of years, shouldn’t be ignorant of this." Li Si continued.

"Makes sense. There is no time to delay now due to the current situation. Li Si, immediately make contact with them and see if we can find common ground." Wang Xu raised his head and commanded Li Si.

"Understood, I’ll go right away!" Li Si nodded, then contentedly left the office.

Watching Li Si leave the office, Wang Xu walked over to the map, looking up at the map of the Otherworld continent. Since the Advance Team’s entry into the Otherworld, the headquarters’ operations had always been smooth. The anti-cooperation faction in Ronisca had been suppressed, and they ultimately retained the northeastern region of the continent, a technological powerhouse.

In Masya, they had already found Melia as a point of entry and had prepared to establish Masya’s power base. Now, in the whole northern part of the continent, Odelanqi was the only place where they had not found a point of entry.

The king of Odelanqi, Gudelv, has recently been stirring up trouble. Clearly, he doesn’t intend to become a puppet in the power game of the Earth’s people, and is actively trying to assert his presence. As for Odelanqi, while the headquarters has a fallback plan for it, they have yet to find means of directly interfering with them.

Now, after being reminded by Li Si, Wang Xu realized the power of the Church Court. The Court’s influence has always stretched from the northern parts of the continent all the way to the central part, making it one of the most powerful forces.

The Church Court has always maintained a conservative and closed policy, refusing any contact with Earth’s powers. Multiple attempts by Earth’s powers to make contact have all ended in failure. With the forbidden curse taking more than a hundred thousand lives, the Church Court instantly became the enemy of many countries on Earth and this watertight organization was finally beginning to falter.

From the arms smuggling case to the dispatch of troops to aid Masya. Various intelligence indicated that Odelanqi, the largest nation of the Aud people, was gradually breaking away from the control of the Church Court. Wang Xu believed that there were people from Earth backing Odelanqi, however, from the standpoint of headquarters, they didn’t want Odelanqi to break away from the control of the Church Court.

Currently, they had no foothold in Odelanqi and under the leadership of Gudelv, Odelanqi was like a ferocious dog. Before they could get a leash around its neck, Wang Xu didn’t want the Church Court to let go of their leading rope, because that would cause Odelanqi to become like a rabid dog. If the Church Court couldn’t control it, the headquarters also wouldn’t be able to handle it.

Wang Xu stared at the map in thought, when suddenly, a lightbulb went off in his head. For Shenghua Academy, the appearance of the Otherworld Gate might not be a bad thing. If possible, they could treat it as their second portal, one that belongs solely to them. In that case, they wouldn’t have to rely on Australia’s Otherworld Gate.
