Chapter 1212: Chapter 1205: The Strange Origin Submachine Gun

The meal was very heartwarming, and it was the first time Tangmo truly felt he had become a part of Luo’er’s family. Or perhaps it should be said that it was only then that Luo’er had a real family.

Tangmo still remembered when they had just graduated, at that time the conflict between Luo’er and Luo Qishan had become so sharp that it couldn’t be smoothed over, and Luo’er hadn’t found his mother and sister yet. In a way, Luo’er back then was no different from an orphan.

Who would have expected that in just a few years, everything that was meant to come had arrived. Luo’er reconciled with Luo Qishan, he found his mother, and even gained a sister he had never met before. It gave one the feeling of a rebound after hitting rock bottom, as if Luo’er, after enduring hardships, was finally embracing rebirth.

For Luo Qishan, to have days like today, he felt very blessed. In those days, when he sent his son to the battlefield, he thought it was merely a simple military operation. He never imagined that the multination forces of Earth, seemingly invincible, would be utterly defeated, and his own son would ultimately perish in the Otherworld.

Fortunately, Luo Chuan left behind a pair of children before he died, which for Luo Qishan was a silver lining in misfortune. He had never looked at Luo’er and Luoya with prejudiced eyes.

Regardless of whether Luo’er and his sister were humans from Earth or elves, to Luo Qishan, they were his grandchildren, the flesh and blood of Luo Chuan. He loved Luo’er as much as he now doted on Luoya.

After the meal, Luo’er saw off a completely satisfied Tangmo. Although she insisted on staying the night with Luo’er, she was strictly refused by him.

Sometimes, Tangmo really felt that Luo’er was like an ancient person living in the 21st century because he was truly too conservative. Even though he tacitly acknowledged their relationship, he always avoided intimacy with her.

Their most intimate contact was limited to holding hands. Just mentioning kissing would cause Luo’er to blush for a long time, not to mention any other excessive requests.

In the past, Tangmo thought that Luo’er didn’t want to be involved with her because he was looking for his mother, but now it seemed that Luo’er was just inherently bashful, which had nothing to do with whether he found his mother or not.

The day before they were set to depart, the Advance Team was ordered to assemble by Li Si and then proceed to Lipei’s weapons testing grounds to have a look at the new weapons they were to be equipped with.

At the weapons testing grounds, the Advance Team encountered the latest product of the Otherworld Weapons Research Center, the Odd Origin Particle Collision Rifle, commonly known as the Origin Submachine Gun, developed based on dual-nucleus entanglement theory.

Simply put, the principle was that inside this gun, three groups of Yuanzi would participate in the firing: groups A, B, and C. Through operation, the Yang particle C+ from group C would be injected into the entanglement series of group B, forming the Odd Origin Particle Group, to be used as the anchor for firing. It relied on the energy produced by separation to be shot out from the barrel.

Subsequently, the Yin particle C- from group C would be injected into group A, also forming an Odd Origin Particle Group, to stand by as the bullet. A fraction of a second after the anchor was shot, the bullet would follow and be fired, pursuing the anchor.

Once the bullet and anchor made contact, since each particle of group C’s Yin and Yang particles carried an Origin Group, there would be a violent explosion due to the collision of the Origin Groups, eventually returning to the three original groups.

As the anchor, consisting of Origin Group B with two lively Yang particles, would fly particularly fast, and without any restrictions, the bullet consisting of Origin Group A could never catch up, since as the bullet, it contained two Yin particles, whose relative speed was slower than the anchor, which had two Yang particles.

This is where the anchor needed to decelerate and wait for the bullet’s pursuit. How to decelerate? Simple, hitting a solid object would do the job.

The killing principle of the Origin Collision Rifle was to first fire the anchor, followed by the bullet. Without a target, the bullet could never catch up to the anchor no matter what.

But once there was a target and the anchor was fired onto it, the anchor would slow down due to hitting the solid target, and at that moment it would be caught up to by the bullet. Then the collision would produce an energy explosion, thereby killing the target.

The reason why the anchor needs to possess two yang particles is to increase the rifle’s range and muzzle velocity. Otherwise, if an origin particle group with two yin particles were used as the anchor, the projectile, which contains two yang particles, might catch up with the anchor before it even leaves the barrel, and the result would inevitably be an explosion within the bore.

Although Nightingale initially proposed with great enthusiasm the idea of weapon research using origin particle group collisions, when it came to implementing the theory, the experts at the Otherworld Weapons Research Center found that things weren’t as easy as they had imagined.

According to Nightingale’s origin particle group collision theory, the first issue the experts needed to consider was how to ensure that the yin particles, once fired, could hit the designated targets precisely.

They first thought of separating the yin particles from within the rifle and then firing them so they would be injected into the designated origin particle group to form an odd origin particle group. Then they would immediately fire the pre-assembled odd origin particle group, which would finally cause a collision explosion, reforming into three origin particle groups.

However, at that time, no one realized that there was a major flaw in this plan, which was how exactly the fired yin particles would accurately hit the origin particle groups near their intended targets. Considering that the atmosphere of the Otherworld was filled with magic, meaning there were countless origin particle groups in the air.

This meant there was a very likely scenario where as soon as the yin particles were separated and fired, they might collide with the nearest origin particle group right away, and by the time the projectile was fired, both would have already collided and exploded within the bore, resulting in a catastrophic explosion.

However, at the beginning, no one paid attention to this, as they were all from Earth, so they all overlooked this characteristic of the Otherworld being filled with magic.

Fortunately, they did not rush into implementing the plan but instead opted to conduct simulations using a supercomputer, to ascertain the feasibility of their plan through calculation.

The result was that the supercomputer immediately rejected this scheme. The artificial intelligence did not even need to calculate to recognize the major issue inherent in the plan.

After the first plan was rejected, the experts at the research center, after discussions, proposed a second plan. This involved exchanging the particles of two origin particle groups, then designating one set as the anchor and the other as the projectile.

Upon firing, the anchor would be launched first and the projectile would follow. Once the anchor hit the target and was stationary, the projectile would catch up and cause an explosion.

This approach was known as the Dual-nucleus Collision Scheme. They tested it through simulations with the supercomputer, and the result showed that while the plan was feasible, the calculated power was much too weak.

According to the results provided by the supercomputer, the explosion caused by this Dual-nucleus Collision Scheme was only as powerful as a firecracker. If the target was wearing armor, the result would be nothing more than a loud noise, merely startling the enemy. As a result, the second plan was also rejected.

Despite the failures of the first two attempts, the experts at the research center were not discouraged and continued to put forth new plans, including the current Odd Origin Particle Collision Scheme.

Compared to the Dual-nucleus Collision Theory, the Odd Origin Particle Collision Theory means that both the anchor and the projectile have one additional particle, resulting in three origin particle groups after the collision.

One should not underestimate this additional particle; an extra particle allows the formation of an odd origin particle group, greatly enhancing its power as compared to even origin particle groups. Just one additional particle can increase the power exponentially.

Furthermore, the initial velocity of both the projectile and the anchor is greatly enhanced, thanks to the presence of these odd origin particles. According to simulation calculations by the supercomputer, the Odd Origin Particle Collision Theory allows both the anchor and the projectile to fly faster.

Based on conservative estimates, within a kilometer, this rifle could hit the target with precision, with no need to calculate ballistics or lead the target, because the anchor and projectile would be upon the target and cause an explosion upon pulling the trigger.

This is a weapon of a new era, which would be considered cutting-edge technology even on Earth. Unfortunately, the rifle, developed based on the Magic Nucleus Theory, can only be used in the Otherworld, as Earth lacks the magic nucleus groups required for its operation.
