"Grandpa," Luo’er began as soon as Luo Qishan settled in, staring at him expressionlessly, "did you know about Luoya’s venture into acting in TV dramas?"

"Is it done? Can we watch it now?" Luo Qishan, upon hearing this, turned to look at Luoya and asked excitedly.

"That’s not what I’m asking. Why would you let her get involved in the entertainment industry?" Luo’er asked, furrowing his brows.

"Oh, child, it’s just for fun, and Luoya likes it too, right?" Luo Qishan said, constantly gazing at Luoya and hardly glancing at Luo’er.

"Is the entertainment industry a place for fun?" Luo’er became angry immediately, "Luoya is still a student who has been on Earth for just a few years, and her Chinese isn’t even fluent yet, but you let her get involved in the entertainment industry. You’re her grandfather, don’t you want to protect her?"

"What do you mean ’as long as she likes it’? When I wanted to return to Otherworld to find my mother, why weren’t you as lenient as you are today?" Luo’er retorted.

"You, you’re still bringing up the past..." Luo Qishan, momentarily at a loss for words, sighed and then said, "It’s because I treated you that way in the past that I feel guilty, so I try to treat Luoya differently..."

"So you simply let things slide; you just indulge her, and that’s overcorrecting," Luo’er said angrily.

"Luo’er, what’s the matter with you today? Why are you so irritable? What have I done wrong?" Luo’ Qishan asked with a puzzled expression.

"Luoya is your granddaughter, and she is also my sister. I care about her just as much as you do, but I won’t indulge her. If you truly love her, you should restrain her, watch over her, not spoil her; you are harming her!" Luo’er responded sharply.

"Luoya has her freedom..." Luo Qishan said.

"As a brother, I don’t like my uneducated family member to have freedom, as that can only lead her astray. Grandpa, if you truly care about Luoya, if you truly want her to be safe, please manage her, don’t let her squander her youth at such an age. I truly don’t want my sister to fall into decay," Luo’er earnestly said.

"Ah..." Luo’er’s sincere words left Luo Qishan deep in thought.

"It’s also your responsibility, along with the headquarters, that Luoya is being so vigorously promoted. As a guardian, I have the duty to guide her back on the right path. You don’t need to go to the headquarters; I will talk with Lin Wei about the situation. I won’t allow her to be on screen until she finishes her studies."

"That’s all I ask for..." Luo’er said, finally breathing a sigh of relief.

"You used to dislike it when I managed you; why do you now request that I treat Luoya the same way I treated you?" Luo Qishan asked, looking at him.

"I was only mad because you didn’t care about me. I never complained about your management," Luo’er said, "Now, you care about Luoya, but you don’t manage her like you did with me, which I find unbelievable and unreasonable."

"To think you could see it that way; a lifelong burden of mine is finally lifted," Luo Qishan said relievedly, with tears streaming down his age-marked face.

"Alright, enough of the sad stuff. Luo’er, I’ll cook for you, let’s start eating," Tangmo volunteered to break the ice.

"You..." Luo’er stared at her, smiling yet not smiling, "I always feel like you have an ulterior motive."

"Why think of motives? I’m not planning to do anything bad," Tangmo pouted, discontentedly.

Although she said that, Tangmo actually had her own little schemes, mainly wanting to use this meal to solidify her place in Luo’er’s family’s hearts, especially Luo Qishan.

Luo’er also had a fatal weakness, which was caring about his family. In other words, to conquer Luo’er, one must conquer his family. Basically, as long as she could grasp Luo’er’s family members, her position would be almost entirely secure.

This meal at Luo’er’s house was a golden opportunity for Tangmo, and she needed to perform well to make a lasting impression on Luo Qishan and Luoya.

"That’s not okay," Tangmo said.

"What’s not okay, if you mess up this meal, won’t your grand vision be ruined?" Luo’er asked, looking at her.

"Definitely not," Tangmo said with a smile, wrapping her arms around him and looking at him affectionately, "After all, you’ve said that as long as it’s nothing too excessive, you won’t refuse, and having a meal with your family is definitely not too much."

"Whatever you want..." Luo’er didn’t know what to say and could only smile wryly again.

After some effort, the two of them finally prepared a sumptuous meal, of course, mostly thanks to Luo’er.

During the meal, the family sat together, enjoying this rare reunion, and in a few more days, Luo’er and his team would be off on another expedition.

Luoya changed into a refreshing short shirt and shorts, showing off her fair and smooth skin. During the meal, she tied her beautiful long hair into a ponytail, revealing her high forehead.

In fact, most of the time, Luoya was quite competent. After all, it was she who took care of Luo Qishan when Luo’er was not around, so she definitely was not the kind of spoiled miss who kept her hands off everything.
