Otherworld Advance Team
Chapter 1095 - 1088: Forced to Yield

Chapter 1095: Chapter 1088: Forced to Yield

Her choice of words was clever, emphasizing "all of you" instead of targeting Luo’er alone, which ultimately showed that she was still not softening her stance, still displaying hostility and discrimination towards Luo’er.

"We accept your apology, but this is the first time, and I hope there won’t be a second!" Just as Cheng Ziang was prepared to press his advantage, Luo’er suddenly spoke up.

Clearly, he didn’t plan to escalate the situation and spoil the relationship with the Night Elves. Given that they still needed the Night Elves, Luo’er naturally couldn’t afford to speak recklessly like Cheng Ziang, but had to consider the overall benefits.

Although Cheng Ziang and others placed great emphasis on Luo’er’s identity, fearing that he might be discriminated against, Luo’er himself didn’t care much about being insulted.

Luo’er had always been open-minded about such matters; if getting angry could bring advantages, he would definitely get angry, just like this time. If disregarding it brought benefits, Luo’er could also dismiss it with a laugh, not minding others’ opinions about him.

Having achieved favorable results through making a fuss, Luo’er decided it was best to quit while ahead and not blow things out of proportion, ending in embarrassment for both parties.

After all, Luo’er’s identity was very special to Xia Yue Island. If the situation escalated and Luo’er ended up detained on Xia Yue Island, that could lead to very serious problems. Once Luo’er’s identity was exposed, not only would headquarters be destabilized, but Ilanadale would also be restless.

Hearing Luo’er’s words, Cheng Ziang gaped at him, then shook his head helplessly, understanding his intentions.

"Thank you for your understanding, esteemed guests. Please make your way to Kalenisa. We have prepared boats there and can leave for Antenisivia immediately," the Elf said, bowing her head.

"Good, lead the way, please," Luo’er nodded.

"Hey, are we supposed to walk there while you ride horses?" Hu Daoke called out to the Elf who was about to ride off, asking loudly.

"I’m sorry, we did not prepare transport for you, but it is not far to Kalenisa from here; you can reach it on foot," the Elf responded.

"Then I have a problem with that. You keep calling us esteemed guests. How can the guests walk while you ride horses?" Hu Daoke crossed his arms, his attitude fierce.

He was not acting impulsively but was acting on a hint from Cheng Ziang. Though Luo’er had forgiven them, the other members of the Advance Team didn’t feel the same and were looking to teach them a lesson.

"These horses recognize their owners, even if we gave them to you, you wouldn’t be able to ride them," the Elf replied, looking down at her horse and frowning.

"That’s easy, just send the horses to report, and then you can carry us, right?" Hu Daoke’s comment prompted a burst of laughter and whistling from the sailors.

"You dare insult us!" the Elf pointed at Hu Daoke, her face turning pale with rage, her chest heaving with anger.

"You all keep calling us esteemed guests. You should find a way to accommodate us. If there isn’t a way, make one. This is Xia Yue Island, your homeland; you must have some solution. I don’t believe this."

At this point, the Elf was too angered to speak. Talis looked around nervously, then turned to Luo’er for help. Luo’er, however, was busy whispering something to Tangmo and didn’t seem to pay any attention to Hu Daoke, apparently condoning his behavior.

She sighed helplessly, then walked up to the Elf’s horse and grabbed the reins, bending down to murmur a stream of words to the kneeling Elf, appearing to be negotiating.

However, the Elf soon started cursing, though still in Elvish. Baiyue, understanding the language, could interpret the conversation. It was clear from Baiyue’s translation that the Elf was expressing serious displeasure at Hu Daoke’s excessive demands.

Talis was making an effort to persuade the Elf; she might have thought no one in the Advance Team understood Elvish, so she didn’t restrain her voice, which Baiyue heard clearly.

According to Baiyue’s limited translation, it seemed that Talis was advising the female Elf to stay calm since, at the moment, they were no match for the Advance Team, and starting a conflict might easily lead to them being counter-killed. It would be better to grant them their wish and lure them to Antenisivia before making a final decision.

After hearing Talis’s suggestion, the female Captain was so angry that she gnashed her teeth and cursed before she left everyone behind and rode off with a few followers.

Talis approached Luo’er and politely said to him, "They have gone back to arrange for transportation; we can just wait here."

"You didn’t badmouth us in front of her, did you?" Luo’er asked, half-smiling.

"How could I? To accuse me of that is to mistrust me." Talis frowned and, feeling guilty under Luo’er’s gaze, averted her eyes intentionally or unintentionally.

"That’s good then. I trust your actions, but don’t let us down," Luo’er said with a smile.

"Of course, of course..." Talis bowed her head, feeling uneasy. Just as she raised her head, she caught sight of Baiyue staring at her, which made her feel even more nervous.

About an hour later, it had turned completely dark. The female Elves had hung up a portable Magic Crystal Lamp, which emitted a cold blue-green light.

Unlike the Magic Crystal Lamps the Advance Team had seen before, this kind seemed to have a higher power output; one lamp could illuminate an area with a radius of about four to five meters. Therefore, with more than ten lamps lit at once, the brightness was quite considerable.

In their free time, the female Elves dismounted and, leading their horses, chatted with their companions. The Magic Crystal Lamps highlighted their perfect figures, and the sailors gathered in small groups discussing some salacious topics while occasionally drooling over the female Elves.

Hu Daoke and Cheng Ziang were also busy. They led a few sailors to chop some dry wood, starting a roaring fire on the beach to dry their clothes.

Luo’er sat in front of the fire, talking with Wadulan. Tangmo sat next to Luo’er, tightly holding his arm, quite satisfied with his indifferent attitude toward other beauties.

"Captain, when we reach Kalenisa, you take your men back to the Continent. What comes next is our own affair; it’s better not to get involved. Head to Yazhi City as soon as possible to report and explain your situation to headquarters. They will compensate you," Luo’er said.

"Just leaving like that doesn’t feel right; after all, I didn’t help much. It would be a bit embarrassing to blatantly go to headquarters," Wadulan said, scratching his head.

"There’s no need to feel embarrassed; don’t be modest," Luo’er shook his head resignedly, "Your ship sank, and all the goods were lost due to this operation. Isn’t that a big loss? In fact, we are the ones who should feel embarrassed."

"Alright then, I’ll take the men back first. You all take care and I’ll wait for you in Yazhi City," Wadulan said.

"Why aren’t you doing business? Why wait for us there?" Cheng Ziang asked.

"Ah, I can who business anytime, and one shouldn’t forget brothers over business," Wadulan waved his hand, "Besides, I’ve saved up quite a bit of money over the years. It might be better to run a stable business rather than running around all day. I hardly get a chance to go home; my wife and kids barely recognize me."

"Ah, that makes sense," Luo’er nodded, and after a moment’s thought, he said, "Headquarters is starting a new plan about the education of people from the Otherworld. Captain, if you have suitable children, just send them over. I’ll put in a good word; they will surely accept."

"Great, great, that’s settled then. I’ll go back and wait for you; you guys better come!" Wadulan immediately perked up upon hearing this, clearly excited by what Luo’er addressed.

The Blaiqi people and the Jews of Earth are somewhat similar, both adept in business and placing high importance on education. However, Blaiqi people seem to be more tactful in social interactions, not focusing solely on profit to the neglect of personal relationships.

Oftentimes, Blaiqi people are even willing to forsake profits for personal relationships. Therefore, in the Otherworld, although most people don’t like them, they can’t really hate them, and finding a legitimate reason to restrict them is challenging.
