Chapter 370 - 326: Meeting God
Chapter 370: Chapter 326: Meeting God
Mira stood on a cloud. She had thought that clouds, being so ethereal, would be unstable, but as soon as she jumped onto it, she found it not only stable but also quite elastic, like a mattress made of several layers of goose feathers.
Lian Xidi watched Mira hop around on the cloud-made steps, a gentle smile appearing on her face.
Mira jumped around for a while before pausing as she heard her mother’s urging.
"Hurry, go up."
Lian Xidi said so.
Mira lifted her face, her gaze extending upwards along the long staircase. She gazed at the wide-open Heavenly Gate, thinking of stepping through it, and she felt joy beyond measure.
All along, Mira had been curious about that distant radiance. Described by her mother, Heaven was portrayed as a place that had everything. At its deepest center stood God’s immortal throne, where the great Father of all divinities sat, His radiance shining to every corner of the world.
Mira followed Lian Xidi, step by step, ascending the seemingly endless staircase. The distance to Heaven’s Gate appeared as if it never shortened.
After a long while, Mira finally reached the gate. She saw her mother take a deep breath and tighten her grip on her hands.
Lian Xidi was somewhat uneasy.
Bringing a living person to Heaven, especially one clandestinely created by herself with Angel Grace and her own Divine Power...
In this world, there was no precedent like herself.
"What’s wrong, Mom?" Mira asked, puzzled as she looked at the motionless Lian Xidi.
"It’s nothing."
Hearing her child’s urging, Lian Xidi steadied herself and slowly pushed open the large door before her.
Boom.
With a slight booming sound, the door cracked open, and the sacred splendid beauty of Heaven appeared before Mira.
It was an incomparably beautiful place.
This was the first thought that came to Mira’s mind. Apart from that, she had no other thoughts momentarily.
Stepping inside, Mira felt she could create freely here without any inhibitions, a capability as natural as a baby instinctively drinking milk.
This creation had almost no restrictions, whether creating beauty or ugliness. It could be perfectly realized with just a thought.
But the souls here did not create sin.
In the Mortal World, there was always dissatisfaction; after satisfaction, there came a void. But in this spiritual kingdom, the souls were like innocent infants; as joyous as infants could be, so could they be joyous.
Infants, nearly immune to sin, were as removed from evil as their inner hearts and free will allowed.
In this Heaven, countless souls’ free will led none to choose evil...
This deeply surprised Mira, who had seen the impermanence of the Mortal World with her mother.
Though full of wonder, being a child, Mira did not delve into the reasons. She only knew that all she saw was goodness.
Knowing her child was spellbound, Lian Xidi smiled gently and patiently waited for Mira to come to her senses.
After a while, Mira slowly moved her feet as Lian Xidi walked with her towards God’s throne.
Approaching step by step, Mira saw a glimmer of light amidst heavy clouds; faint yet undeniably real and divinely natural.
Mira breathed rapidly, excitement overwhelming her.
As her mother led her all the way to the forefront of the throne.
God slightly tilted His head on the throne.
The nearby Angels looked at Mira with a surprised gaze.
Mira carefully lifted her head, her eyes slowly traveling upwards, first catching sight of Solamus standing beside God.
A soft-faced Angel with six pairs of wings gently folded, holding a pure white horn, a symbol of announcing the advent of Heaven—he had wandered the Mortal World for a thousand years to testify to the covenant established by God.
Before Mira could fully recover from the angel’s sanctity, her gaze met God’s.
She finally saw God.
He was enshrouded in light, light that emanated from Him, light that had shone through the ages, illuminating all things in the world. Before Him, there was only darkness; after Him, there was light. This radiance overwhelmed Mira’s vision, but she didn’t feel its heat, only an indescribable warmth.
Before seeing Him, Mira had imagined this moment countless times in her mind, but upon truly seeing Him, she realized that it was not only something her eyes had never seen, but also something her heart had never considered.
"Mira, is your name Mira?"
Mira shuddered, then she came to her senses and slowly nodded.
It seemed as though she had been stunned for a while.
Mira thought about this and couldn’t help feeling somewhat flustered.
"Lian Xidi is...?"
Solamus looked at Lian Xidi and asked.
"She is my child, the race I created."
Lian Xidi spoke softly to Solamus.
Then, He turned His gaze to Chen Yi on the throne.
He couldn’t help feeling a bit nervous; His palms trembled slightly.
Lian Xidi knew that God could see Mira’s origin with just one glance, so she didn’t need to say much—God knew everything.
Chen Yi looked at the somewhat shy Mira and couldn’t help but smile.
She was an adorable girl, pure and immaculate from soul to body.
Facing God’s gaze, Mira said shyly,
"Yes, I am Mira, my name is Mira, my race is also Mira."
Mira spoke without sequence, her voice somewhat faltering.
Chen Yi slowly stood from the throne and reached out to touch the child’s head.
Mira’s eyes widened, then slowly closed as she allowed the broad palm to stroke her hair.
Chen Yi softly said,
"Stay here, Mira, live here with your mother."
Mira nodded. She looked around and then asked,
"Can I play here forever? Really?"
Chen Yi nodded.
Mira was extremely happy, she controlled herself from jumping around in front of God.
Chen Yi added,
"Unless you someday want to leave here."
Upon hearing this, Mira said in confusion,
"Leave? I don’t want to leave, I want to stay here forever.
I feel that the Mortal World isn’t as good as here."
To these innocent words, Chen Yi simply said,
"Mira, you do not know what you will encounter in the future..."
"What does that mean?"
Mira was even more puzzled; she was too young to understand the depth of God’s words.
Chen Yi paused then said,
"Staying in one place for a long time, you might start thinking about leaving, going somewhere different, meeting different people."
