Chapter 341: Chapter 298: Survival is Destruction
Divine King Shan En stood for a long time before the seal of the Primordial Will, the lightning spear in his hand flickering dimly, and on the surface of the Historical Star, thousands of dust particles were swept up by a strong wind.
Shan En had stood before the seal of the Primordial Will for a long time, reminiscing about the past he had once seen within the Historical Star.
At the early stages of awakening, Shan En had seen through the Historical Star the scenes of the past, and though thousands of years had passed, once he recalled them, those histories remained vivid in his mind.
"Before our father arrived, Ancient Chaos enveloped the entire world. Back then, the myriad stars of the Celestial Kingdom had no souls. They shone with their own brilliance in the vast universe until our father came, and Ancient Chaos receded from the world, instead wrapping around this universe..."
Shan En murmured to himself, looking at the fierce cracks on the ground. At the deepest part of this Historical Star, the Primordial Will was sealed, with the power to destroy the entire world.
"The stars moved in the universe wrapped by Ancient Chaos; countless starlights were manipulated by the Primordial Will, then transformed into the pale force and fell upon this world, causing the creatures to undergo strange transformations..."
Shan En had seen from the Historical Star, that earliest race, the Elves who now possessed remarkable longevity, were initially nothing more than a group of Ape-men eating raw meat and drinking blood. They were initially very short-lived, living barely a few decades, not even as long as humans.
But after an apocalyptic rain that swept over the world for ninety nights, Logos people shed their fur, and in a transformation, they became Elves.
From the perspective of today, that apocalyptic rain undoubtedly benefited the people of Logos, who then established the earliest civilization and the oldest kingdom in the world at an unimaginable speed.
"But why..."
Divine King Shan En whispered,
"Why... does the pale force promote growth in all things instead of bringing about thorough destruction?"
He certainly knew that the apocalyptic rain was triggered by the father of all Gods, but all their father had done was ignite it, without changing the nature of the pale force.
The force that was meant to destroy the world, instead let the mortals on earth create their own glory.
Shan En faintly caught onto something as he stood before the seal of the Primordial Will.
For a long, long time...
Long enough that the divinities of the Country of Divines were forced to ascend to the crimson Historical Star to search for the whereabouts of Divine King Shan En.
A chilling wind swept past, the split and fierce earth, like the Abyss itself, emitted a pitiful howl.
On this eternal surface, Shan En finally came out of his deep thoughts, he pondered for a long time, for the destined Heaven, for the prophecy that was soon to be confirmed. He hesitated and could not come to a decision, even though the path ahead was dim, he could not bring himself to make a resolve.
But eventually, the gloom that enveloped his soul was pierced by a flash of lightning, and the accumulated mud on the ground was swept away. The great King of Gods finally had an epiphany and slowly uttered:
"To live is to destroy."
Faced with the impending nation, the Heavenly City, Shan En made his own decision.

In Danschel, Catherine came once more to Solamus’s residence. Having heard the mention of a True Believer from a Maid, she had been wanting to visit this foreign lady.
As soon as Solamus opened the door, Catherine bombarded her with a question:
"Sola... are you, are you a True Believer?!"
Catherine appeared somewhat agitated, her cheeks flushing with a hint of red.
Solamus heard her question and laughed, shaking her head:
"I am not a True Believer, I do not belong to any sect."
Upon hearing this, Catherine was somewhat bewildered and asked again:
"Then, are you an Elf?"
She only saw Solamus smiling and shaking her head.
Catherine was suddenly somewhat unable to process, she knew Solamus did not have pointed ears and should not be an Elf, but she also did not think that Solamus was just an ordinary human.
Who among humans can make the guitar strings become nightingales?
Catherine thought for a while and realized that no human could do it, not even those Priests or Sages who were fluent in the Ancient Language; there were no such records.
Solamus, seeing Catherine at a loss for words, smiled and asked,
"Catherine, why do you care so much?"
Catherine paused, then after a bit of thought, replied,
"Because I want to understand you more...
You once told me that in my eyes, the Music Academy is a harp, your residence is also a harp...
I want to understand you, and then understand your God. Do you know, for so many years, you remain so mystical, your music never tires me, there’s all this wonder about you. The more I’m with you, the more I feel I can’t comprehend you, and you... seem to keep your distance, as if you do not wish to let me fully understand you...
Why do you keep such a distance...
Are you also a string of God’s lute?"
This music-obsessed woman was almost reckless, pouring out her words in torrents, releasing the doubts she had accumulated over the years. The head of the Music Academy heard the divine touch in her music, but the head only felt the divine touch; he never knew that the divine touch in Catherine’s harp came from her confusion about Solamus, stemmed from her doubts about the Lord.
Catherine wanted to find an answer for her doubts.
"I will not answer these questions for you, even if I did, you would not understand,"
Solamus replied to Catherine.
"Why..."
Catherine looked puzzled and sounded somewhat anxious.
Solamus said softly,
"Not every answer can bring enlightenment."
Catherine felt a sense of dejection, and it wasn’t that she insisted on an answer from Solamus, but there is always that sliver of hope in one’s heart.
However... Once the True Believers arrived in the Royal City, perhaps Solamus would have some interaction with them, and then she could...
With that thought, the gloom in Catherine’s heart dissipated a bit,
"Then... let’s play the harp."
She patted her cheeks and forced a smile.
..............
Catherine had a good idea; she wanted to catch any hint from the interactions between Solamus and the True Believers.
However, things in the world are ever-changing, and many things do not go as one wishes.
When Catherine learned that the True Believers had arrived in the Royal City, she almost flew out of the Music Academy, heading straight for the residence of the Foreign lady.
Overwhelmed with excitement, Catherine was someone who could not restrain her emotions, and before she even got close to the residence, she was shouting at the top of her lungs.
She stood in front of the door, banging on it as if her life depended on it.
Catherine waited for a long time, but no one came to open the door.
She couldn’t help feeling puzzled—Solamus generally didn’t go out. Could it be that she had gone out today?
After a long while, the door finally opened.
It wasn’t Solamus who opened the door, but instead her Maid.
"Sorry, Miss Catherine... our master has left the Royal City..."
