Chapter 188: Chapter 162 Prophet Noen

The brilliance atop the high mountain disturbed the Holy Land Guardians of the Ancient Kingdom.

The people of Logos watched the vast glow of light in disbelief as the whole dark night burned away like paper caught in flame.

Even the Nus Kingdom across the sea could see that glow.

That brilliance was so divine, it was like a revelation from heaven.

Every person of Logos, inexplicably, came to realize something in unison — a new Prophet had been born.

This sensation, welling up from the soul bestowed by God, was like a direct revelation from God Himself.

The people of Logos hurriedly knelt down, their hands clasped together in prayer, facing the sacred mountain.

The brilliance continued until the dawn of the next day when it slowly faded away.

A figure with Casas on his back, slowly descended from the summit, and saw the Priests who had been waiting at the mid-mountain altar for a long time.

"I am Noen."

Noen spoke slowly,

"The chosen one of God."

As his words fell,

The Priests, as if by prearrangement, kneeled on one knee before the Prophet who represented God.

The leading High Priest, holding the meteorite-forged Priest’s Scepter in his hands, presented it with both hands to Prophet Noen in front of him.

Noen raised his hand and took the Scepter from the hands of the High Priest.

A breeze from the distant summit passed gently by everyone, lightly brushing the murals next to the ancient altar, while the colors on the figure of the first Prophet were rich and vivid against the white snow-covered mountain.

Thousands of years ago, the world’s first Prophet climbed the mountain and was chosen by God.

Thousands of years later, the second Prophet descended from the summit to proclaim God’s grace to the world.

Be it Al or Noen, they were both among the first to know of God.

.........

Noen and his companions paused for fourteen days in this tranquil Ancient Kingdom.

The name of Prophet Noen soon shook the Nus Kingdom. On the third day, the Unihorn and its people came to escort him by ship, and the reigning King met with the God-chosen Noen, looking at Noen with tears streaming down his face while marveling at his youth.

Noen and his companions were welcomed into the Nus Kingdom, and the Twin Kings summoned them in the Giant Wood Palace. They praised Noen and his companions with fine verses and held a grand banquet in their honor.

For a time, the Kingdom fell into a grand celebration. The Elves wept tears of joy, singing praises for the arrival of the second Prophet and worshipping the great God. They prayed fervently and jostled to kiss the stone tablets of the two historic books, the Holy Scriptures of the Elves.

Once, the people of Logos lost the grace of God.

People’s self-indulgence, greed, and ambition led to the destruction of the first Kingdom by human hands.

But now, God had chosen a new Prophet.

The history of three thousand years ago finally became a thing of the past.

The clouds hanging over a race were swept away in an instant.

With the words spoken from the summit, God’s selection, a new historical book was to be set up, a new Chapter was to come.

The celebration lasted for nine days.

Casas recognized the society of the Logos people and was amazed that in this world there was such an isolated Kingdom, and when the Mountain Elves took him to see the underwater Kingdom of his brethren, the son of the former Prime Minister could hardly believe his eyes.

Although Baird was curious about various strange sights, he urgently sought an artifact that could move hearts.

This Three-eyed Ape Man, draped in Dragon Skin, searched through streets and alleys, humbly and earnestly asking every Elf he met, yet never finding something satisfying.

At last, Baird came to the Pattern Garden of Nus.

The grey-haired High Priest received him.

"Baird, I already know your purpose."

Amongst the wheat fields, the High Priest spoke.

"Great High Priest, where is the artifact I seek? I want to awaken my sleeping beloved."

Baird inquired.

The High Priest smiled bitterly, then said,

"Baird, perhaps it’s not here."

Baird’s face fell with disappointment.

He had thought that by coming to the Ancient Elf Kingdom, he would be able to find an artifact that could move hearts, but he had not expected to find nothing at all.

"Believe in yourself, Baird; you possess a steadfast love for your beloved,"

the High Priest consoled.

"I know, Great High Priest, and I will keep searching,"

Baird said, adding in his heart,

"and fulfill the bet made with Endora."

...

The hospitality of the Mountain Elves made Noen and his companions linger in fondness.

But a few days later, Casas could wait no longer. He needed to return to the Ajia Kingdom with the golden bullhorn.

When Casas expressed his desire to leave, Noen, on the other hand, said he would stay.

Prophet Noen would stay in this Ancient Kingdom for 3,240 nights, a full nine years.

He told Casas that only after mastering the Ancient Language given by God would he leave this ancient homeland.

Casas stroked the golden bullhorn in his hand, gazing into Noen’s determined eyes. He knew he was about to part ways with Noen.

The son of the Prime Minister couldn’t stay any longer; his family still lingered in prison, awaiting his return with the golden bullhorn to beg Queen Isis for clemency.

After seven days.

Under the beautiful bellflower trees beside the glistening stream, after their sorrowful farewell, they would part for nine years. They wished each other well, hoping to meet again after nine years.

They had traveled many roads together, and on this journey to the Ancient Kingdom, they were not like a master and servant, but more like brothers, supporting and trusting one another without any moments of hesitation or doubt.

Before leaving, Casas said,

"Noen, don’t let me lose you."

The Prophet understood that Casas used the farewell words of the brothers Yarlessto and Dertulian from the "Twin Kings Book."

Noen simply said to him,

"Wait for me, Casas, I will not let you lose me."

Thus, Casas and Baird, along with a few Stone Slaves who wanted to return to Ajia, led their camels and, escorted by the Mountain Elves, left the Ancient Elf Kingdom.

This journey to seek God, on the way back,

finally drew to a close.

But... the story of Prophet Noen was just beginning.

After 3,240 nights,

The second Prophet would emerge from the secluded Kingdom and reveal to the world the grace from above.
