One Piece: New Order
Chapter 94: Kuzan

Chapter 94: Kuzan

New World, Seetan Island.

This was the main base of the territory under the Beasts Pirates’ control.

Three days earlier, King had returned to the island, severely wounded. Yet Kaido and the rest of the crew were nowhere to be seen.

Rumors spread like wildfire, and doubt began to infect the ranks.

With his brutal methods, King barely managed to keep things under control. At the same time, he summoned men and sent them out to gather information.

Now, he stood at the bow of a ship, eyes fixed on the horizon. Behind him, a subordinate approached and spoke with hesitation.

"King-sama, we’ve bought up every bit of intel from the underworld. But... there’s still no news about Kaido-sama. Maybe we should—"

A sharp wave of killing intent erupted from King as he turned to glare at the man.

"Shut up! If the underworld says nothing, it just means we didn’t pay enough. Bring out every last bit of treasure. We will find news about Kaido-san!"

Shing!

As he spoke, he drew the sword from his waist and pressed it against the man’s neck.

The subordinate swallowed hard, frozen in fear.

"Y-Yes! Right away!"

Shing.

King sheathed his blade and said, more calmly, "Get lost."

But the rise and fall of his chest betrayed the storm in his heart.

’He’ll be fine. Kaido-san... he’s Joy Boy. He has to be fine. He has to...’

New World, Wasen Island.

A massive blue dragon crashed down from the sky.

Boom!

It slammed into the ground just outside the island’s largest restaurant.

Kaido released his grip on Queen and shifted into his human form. With a sweep of his arm, he scattered the smoke rising around them. Dragging the unconscious scientist along, he pushed open the restaurant doors, eyes sweeping the crowd.

"Bring me booze! And meat! Now!"

A wave of Conqueror’s Haki burst out along with killing intent, knocking out half the room.

Since this was the New World, the few who remained standing quickly realized who he was: Kaido, the infamous pirate whose name had shaken the seas in recent years.

The terrified owner scrambled to prepare food, and the rest fled in panic, running far away.

Kaido let out a cold snort and paid them no mind. A trembling waiter offered a barrel of liquor, which he grabbed without a word, and promptly dunked Queen’s head into.

"Co–! Cough! Cough!"

It only took a moment for the liquor flooding his nose to choke the scientist awake. With a heavy yank, Kaido pulled his head out of the barrel.

Light stung Queen’s eyes. Blinking rapidly, he stared up at the towering pirate in front of him and swallowed.

Kaido pointed at his modified arm and asked impatiently, "This thing, can it replace organs?"

Trembling, Queen stammered, "It... it can, but it depends on which organ."

The pirate’s breathing grew heavier. "The lungs?"

"Yes." The scientist nodded.

Hearing that, Kaido’s eyes lit up. He took a deep swig from the liquor barrel.

Bang!

He slammed it down hard on the bar counter. Then, suddenly, he started laughing and crying at the same time.

"Uwaaaahhh!!! Worororo! Cough! Cough..."

As the outburst of emotion ended in a violent coughing fit, his bloodshot eyes locked onto Queen.

"Work for me. My lungs... I’m leaving them to you. As long as you can make a pair that matches my body. Money, manpower—whatever you need, you’ll have it."

Queen listened to the generous conditions he offered, and finally understood why he’d been captured.

He took a deep breath, and said, "Anything I want...? The experiments I’m planning will need a lot of live subjects."

Kaido burst into loud laughter. "Worororo! Just people, right? As long as you see them, they’re yours!"

He pointed toward the crowd of civilians who had been knocked out by his Conqueror’s Haki.

Looking at the unconscious people, Queen’s breathing quickened slightly. The ambition for his grand experiment, long buried in silence, began to surge again.

He smiled faintly and turned to Kaido.

"Captain."

South Blue, Yakubun Island.

Garp’s battleship was docked at the harbor.

After smashing Chinjao’s drill head and still finding no trace of Roger, he’d grown bored. So, imitating Sakazuki, he decided to roam the seas.

Today, the crew had anchored at Yakubun Island for supplies. A key checkpoint before Reverse Mountain, the harbor bustled with ships, sailors, and merchants.

Garp stood on the deck, yawning, until he caught something. His eyes landed on a tall, lean figure inside a restaurant by the shore.

"That brat..." He narrowed his eyes slightly. ’This could be fun...’

Inside the restaurant, the tall young man rested his chin on one hand and gently swirled a glass of liquor with the other.

As the glass spun, small ice cubes began to form unnoticed inside it. Suddenly, sensing something, the man turned his head toward Garp.

The moment their eyes met, the young man frowned, downed the drink in one gulp, and stood to leave.

Chuckling to himself, Garp leapt from the ship and quietly followed him. Before long, they had entered a dark, empty alleyway.

The tall figure turned and faced him.

"Sir," he said calmly. "You seem to have a lot of free time."

Garp grinned. "Kid, come with me. I like you."

The man raised a brow, cold breath escaping his lips. "Unfortunately, I’m not into middle-aged men. Ice—"

Boom!

The vice admiral vanished in an instant, reappearing right in front of him. With one punch, he sent the man crashing into the wall.

Picking his nose with his pinky, Garp glanced at him as he struggled to stand.

"Ice what?"

Clutching his stomach, the young man slowly got up, sweat pouring down his face. It didn’t make much sense for someone with ice powers to sweat like that. But he was sweating. And in pain.

He opened his mouth with difficulty and looked at his attacker.

"You..."

Garp chuckled. "You’re still standing after that punch? Not bad. Not bad at all. Join the Marines with me."

The man clenched his fists, holding back his anger.

"Like hell I—"

He paused, seeing the vice admiral raise his fist again.

His tone changed quickly. "Maybe we should... talk about benefits first."

Garp roared with laughter. "Bwahahaha! Let’s talk on my ship!"

With that, he grabbed the man like luggage and hauled him away.

New World, Aboard Sakazuki’s Battleship.

After finishing his training session with Bullet, Sakazuki summoned Carlo.

When the two returned to the office, he tossed his cloak aside and sat down on the couch.

Carlo handed him a newspaper.

"Have all the intel reports been organized?" Sakazuki asked, flipping it open.
