Chapter 99: Wife And Daughters

When Leo heard her answer, he noticed a dozen soldiers converging on him, but he only chuckled before diving low and flying just above the street, which caused a gust of wind to hit the people below.

Octavia burst into laughter, her voice filled with amusement as she noticed the chase behind them. ’’The Imperial Guard are after us, handsome!’’ she teased, her eyes sparkling with excitement.

Leo glanced over his shoulder, a smirk tugging at his lips. ’’Let them try to catch us,’’ he said confidently. ’’It’ll take more than a few guards to stop us.’’

A deafening sonic boom echoed through the city as they shot forward, tearing through the streets at breakneck speed. Leo and Octavia darted between towering buildings, weaving through tight alleys and executing hair-raising turns.

The roar of the wind drowned out everything else as they outpaced the Imperial Guard, who struggled desperately to keep up, their pursuit faltering against the sheer speed of their escape.

With the city stretching out beneath them, a sprawling labyrinth of rooftops and twisting streets, Leo soared through the air with Octavia clutched tightly in his arms. The wind howled around them, whipping their hair and clothes in wild gusts.

Behind them, the Imperial Guard was relentless, their shouts fading into the distance as they struggled to match the speed of Leo’s flight. With a sharp turn, Leo dodged a series of buildings with an excited smile.

His body twisted in midair, sending them into a spin that made the blonde let out a joyous laugh. They soared higher, darting around towers, narrowly avoiding a barrage of crossbow bolts that came shooting from the rooftops.

’’Keep up, guards!’’ the princess taunted, her excitement growing wider.

Leo was confident as he kicked up speed, sending them careening downward toward the heart of the city. Octavia’s eyes sparkled with mischief, her grip tightening as they shot between columns of stone, over fountains, and past entire blocks.

Then, with a sudden, sharp dive, he pulled them low; the ground rushing up beneath them. The palace courtyard loomed ahead, a sprawling oasis of marble and greenery. ’’Here we go princess! Time to put this chase to an end.’’

The guards were too far behind. With a last burst of speed, Leo swept Octavia down, landing with a thunderous impact that echoed through the courtyard, sending dust and debris scattering in all directions.

They came to a halt, standing tall in the center of the courtyard, breathless but triumphant. Behind them, the Imperial Guard skidded to a halt while surrounding them and pointing their weapons in their direction.

Leo grinned, turning to Octavia with a gleam in his eye. ’’Well, that was fun,’’ he said while letting her down.

That’s when the soldiers moved in on them, but Leo grinned before using California Smash to punch the ground, which sent the attackers flying and crashing all over the garden, causing the princess to get angry.

’’Are you fucking stupid? Why are you attacking me and the famous hero?’’ she demanded while taking out her sword.

When the commander heard this, he knelt before explaining, ’’We fought it was an attack, Princess Octavia, I apologize.’’

The blonde smiled, her eyes glinting with amusement as she nodded. ’’I understand that, but the Imperial Family has the privilege of flying freely within the city and that extends to the hero here.’’

’’Yes, Your Majesty,’’ the man replied with a sharp salute. ’’I’ll inform the city guard that the hero will fly through the city regularly.’’

Leo gave a nod before explaining. ’’Thank you for that. Apologies for the disruption. I was just helping the princess unwind after that grueling journey back.’’

Following that, the palace’s entrance slammed open as Emperor Dorian and Empress Helena rushed toward Octavia. He noticed the concerned expression on the parents showed how much they cared for their children.

’At least their loving parents, unlike the stories back on Earth,’ Leo thought as the two started hugging the princess.

Octavia laughed before returning the hugs as she explained everything that had happened, leaving out the constant sex and the fact that Leo was her lover. She wanted to break the engagement with the Duke’s son, but it would cause trouble.

When she told him about it, he waved her away and said he would wipe out the family with ease if they caused problems. By the time Octavia finished speaking, Helena looked at him with eyes full of love.

’I got a feeling I’ll be seeing her tonight,’ Leo thought as Dorian approached him.

The emperor held out his hand, which he took before speaking, ’’Thank you for saving my daughter Leo, I will reward you for everything you’ve done, but give me some time to come up with the perfect thing.’’

’’That’s fine Dorian, no rush,’’ he answered the older man. ’’Octavia is a beautiful and smart woman who taught me a lot about the empire and monsters within it.’’

As the emperor heard this, his smile grew wider. ’’I’ve got an idea, my boy. I’ll gift you a mansion here in the noble district to start. This will give you a place to relax with your growing harem.’’

’That includes your wife and daughters,’ he thought with an internal chuckle.

’’That would be good, a manor to myself would get me out of the palace,’’ Leo replied, causing the older man to nod in agreement.

Following that, Dorian approached Octavia and started talking as Helena approached him with a warm smile while taking his arm. This caused Leo’s eyebrow to raise, but she explained, ’’It’s custom in the Imperial Family and Dorian will welcome you with open arms.’’

’’He’ll be shocked when Octavia asks for a breakup of her engagement because she wants to be with me," he answered. ’’Means I’ll have you and your daughters, which is hot.’’

The older woman started giggling before speaking, ’’God I’ve missed you handsome. I’m coming to see you tonight. I need to feel that monster inside me.’’

Leo agreed with a smile while glancing around and noticing no one was around, causing him to slap the older woman’s fat ass.
