Chapter 78: Level Two Hundred

Leo shook his head and approached the nearby window after getting out of bed only to see explosions shaking the town, causing him to think, ’What’s going on now? How many monsters are attacking?’

Without waiting, he got dressed before leaving the inn when sensing Amara and Octavia were still sleeping because of the exhaustion of constantly using magic to stem the tide of the attack.

He stepped out only for the scent of blood that wafted through the air, causing him to approach the wall. While walking through Greenslade, he noticed the people were panicking but soon calmed down when he saw him.

Ten minutes later, he appeared at the bottom of the town walls before flying to the top. That’s when Leo saw a swarm of large elephant-looking monsters charging toward the city as the surrounding soldiers tried to stop them.

’Looks like I have to bail them out again,’ he pondered with a sigh. ’The emperor better reward me for this.’

Following that, Leo jumped off the wall and hit the ground with a thud, which shocked the town guards. He started casting Fireballs and Thunderbolts into the horde of monsters, which caused explosions to ring out.

Surprise took the creatures as he continued raining down spells before dashing forward and using California Smash to wipe out hundreds. Seconds later, the enraged swarm turned on him.

’Here we go, now it’s time to farm some levels and become the strongest in the Duskwood Empire,’ he thought with an excited smile.

Leo chuckled as he watched them fall, showing no mercy as he continued his relentless assault. He turned most of his targets to ash while raising his Mana Barrier to block a few incoming attacks, but the effort barely phased him.

Hours passed by as he held off the swarm reaching Greenslade’s walls, which earned him the respect of the town guards, who started cheering when he pushed the monster’s back and started chasing after them.

Leo sprinted after the enormous creatures while using Thunderbolt to bring them to the ground with a loud crash. Following this, he continued to hunt them down with ease, as he was stronger than the monster by far.

For hours, explosions echoed as he slaughtered so many monsters that their corpses covered the ground. He started collecting them until he couldn’t store them anymore, which annoyed him.

’This thing needs to level up again,’ he thought in frustration while standing at the edge of a giant lake.

Leo stayed there for another ten minutes before taking off and scouting the area, only to be hit by a powerful spell. This sudden attack sent him flying across the sky and crashed through dozens of trees.

He hit the ground with a sickening thud, causing him to grit his teeth before coming to a stop with a grunt. Leo shook his head while thinking as his Regeneration kicked in and started healing his body. ’What the fuck was that?’

Seconds later, a powerful aura descended upon him as a male Demon appeared wearing black armor and had glowing red eyes. He chuckled when seeing this new enemy causing him to comment with a grin, ’’Oh look, someone strong to fight. Your monsters were getting boring to kill.’’

After talking, the Demon remained silent before dashing forward with a deadly swing of his great sword aimed at his neck. Seeing the attack, Leo ducked under the blade and countered with a powerful California Smash.

’Too close but not good enough!’ he mused before continuing with his attack.

The force of the blow sent the Demon stumbling backward, but Leo didn’t let up. He pressed the advantage, unleashing a rapid series of follow-up strikes, each one driving his opponent further onto the defensive.

As Leo attacked, the enemy quickly chanted something which forced him to cross his arms as a spell slammed into his body. He grunted before being sent flying when an explosion erupted.

Pain shot through his body again which caused him to yelp as the Demon finally spoke, ’’Let’s show Greenslade that their precious little hero is a weakling. You cannot stand up to a level two hundred demon human.’’

The enemy lunged forward, but Leo smirked, effortlessly sidestepping the punch. Without wasting time, he countered, delivering a Supernova Punch. The moment his fist connected with the thing’s chest, a thunderous clap echoed through the air.

’This will weaken this creature, allowing me to end it,’ he mused with a big smile.

As his most powerful spell, the sheer force of the Supernova Punch sent the Demon hurtling backward, crashing violently into the distance. Wasting no time, he closed the gap, relentlessly pursuing his opponent.

Each punch he threw landed with crushing power, further rocking the Demon but it soon gathered itself and got Leo with several spells that allowed it to get close and hit him with a dozen powerful punches.

Each time the enemy’s fists connected with his body and face, Leo’s vision blurred, and his world spun. Gritting his teeth, he seized the Demon’s arm in a desperate counter and flung it away with all his strength.

This gave his regeneration enough time to mend what it could. Without missing a beat, he raised his hand and unleashed a barrage of Thunderbolts. Each one hurtled toward his foe before connecting with its torso.

Explosions rang out but Leo used this opportunity and dashed forward and hit the Demon with a dozen California Smashes that damaged the enemy’s body, which sent him flying toward Greenslade.

Leo followed behind and quickly noticed the Demon’s face paled as it looked like he regretted his decision. He started hitting it with several Supernova Punches that burned through his mana faster than his other spells.

Following that, he beat up the enemy as he was growing weaker thanks to taking all of his powerful punches that rocked its body. Leo was going wild and his attacks rang out across the landscape.

The soldiers on the town walls watched on in amazement as he beat the shit out of a Demon before tearing it in half with a roar.
