Chapter 48: Now I Will Come For Your Queen

Leo chuckled when hearing this before he turned to the redhead, Bella. She had a curious expression as they locked glances. He gave her a charming smile, which caught her off guard.

Roxy started laughing, which confused Agatha, who was clueless. He looked at the princess and revealed, ’’It’s something from our world. Maybe one day I’ll get a skill that will let me show you what it is.’’

’’Arghh! Fucking idiots don’t know who they’re attacking,’’ Leo muttered.

When his fist connected with something, a loud clap rang out, and the being was sent crashing through the wall as something struck Leo in the back. He followed behind and slammed into the palace gardens.

Shortly after that, alarms started blaring as soldiers rushed around, but five Demons crashed down in front of him. Leo climbed out of the crater while stretching his limbs as he spoke in an amused voice, ’’Well, that surprised me, but I’m afraid you’re too late to deal with me. Now I will come for your queen.’’

Once Leo finished speaking, he dashed forward and cast Meteor Fist, which struck the closest Demon. It was sent soaring into the sky like a rocket before he turned his attention to the remaining four enemies.

A thunderous boom erupted as Leo unleashed a barrage of devastating Nova Punches and the formidable Cataclysm Fists. The sheer force of his mana-infused strikes destroyed the Demons and caused the earth to tremble violently.

Leo noticed only two enemies were remaining. He surged forward and targeted the first Demon, delivering a flurry of relentless California Smashes that left it reeling in shock. Booms rang out as each fist hit, causing severe damage.

Without hesitation, he turned to the last enemy, channeling mana into a Thunderbolt. The attack hit like a meteor, hurling the Demon across the ground, and leaving a deep trench in its wake.

While catching his breath, Leo was hit from behind and sent crashing into the ground. A dust cloud erupted as something started hitting him. As this happened, he was blind and summoned the Blood Griffin that screeched in anger.

The monster came to his aid and attacked the unknown foe, which allowed Leo to get up and take to the sky while casting Fireballs at the horrifying-looking humanoids. They appeared from a portal that the Demons opened.

They rushed out and crashed into the army of imperial soldiers that appeared. Leo noticed a battle had erupted around the palace. Following that, he targeted the Demon that attacked him and rushed toward it while casting his spells.

Explosions erupted around them as the Blood Griffin clashed with the hulking, bodybuilder-like creature. With a powerful blow, the enemy sent the Griffin staggering backward, its wings flailing to regain balance.

Leo wasted no time and closed the distance in a flash. He retaliated with a crushing Nova Punch that struck the Demon square in the back; the force rippling through its massive body.

A sharp clap echoed through the air, forcing the enemy to stagger forward. Seizing the moment, Leo unleashed a devastating Thunderbolt, the attack crackling with raw power as it struck with unrelenting force.

He watched the large Demon fly back, but he quickly noticed it wasn’t damaged. Leo followed up with several Nova Punches and Cataclysm Fists that seemed to damage the larger enemy.

’This is working. I just need to keep this up!’

The battle continued like this until Leo overwhelmed the bigger enemy and hit it with a Doomwave that made its injuries even worse. He then hit it with a fully charged California punch that turned the Demon into meat paste.

Following that, Leo scanned his surroundings and noticed the Ghoul-looking monsters attacking the Duskwood soldiers. He got to work and started casting dozens of Thunderbolts that destroyed the attacking creatures.

His magic was too powerful for the Ghouls and wiped them out. This allowed the soldiers to cheer before moving on to the other attackers. Leo started flying around the palace while bombarding the enemies.

’I’ll thin out the swarm. The soldiers should be able to get the upper hand now,’ he thought.

Explosions shook the ground, but thanks to his help, the monsters were pushed back because of the overwhelming force. An hour later, he landed in a courtyard and heard some soldiers talking about a Demon going for the imperial family.

When Leo heard this, he rushed inside and sensed the Demon’s aura heading for the imperial quarters.

Dorian was in his office when the alarm blared, causing him to take out his sword and rush out of the room. That’s when he saw hundreds of Ghouls attacking the soldiers, who were fighting back.

’I need to find Helena and the girls,’ he thought before cutting down three of the creatures.

The emperor rushed down the corridors while killing more enemies that tried to attack. As he did this, he came across Agatha, the Hereos Bella, Roxy, and Luna fighting against the monsters that invaded the palace.

When Agatha spotted him, she smiled while killing several Ghouls with a Thunder Slash as Bella slashed out with a sword. Dorian rushed up to them and spoke in a concerned voice, ’’Get to the dining hall! The others are there.’’

Following that, explosions rang out all across the palace as the ambush was underway. Soon enough, the group arrived at the dining hall, only to be met by a wall of shields. They were let through just as the Ghouls slammed into the shieldwall.
