Coco was humming softly and slowly cutting the dragon fruit with practiced ease that she had acquired from her previous life.

She might not eat dragon fruits every week or every month like any other people on Earth, but she at least knows how to cut it to make it pleasing for the eyes.

"Coco, you need to tell that lady that you need three hundred gold coins instead of two hundred. You need to pay off Coco Hughes’s debt more, you know!" The fairy whined for the nth time, she was adamant on getting that three hundred gold coins.

Once more, Coco ignored the garden fairy and finished peeling off, cutting, and placing the dragon fruit slices on the plate.

She washed her hands and the knife she used before she went back to her seat, placed the dragon fruit slices on the table and handed Mrs. Tani a fork.

"Try some." Coco said, watching as Mrs. Tani accepted the fork and eyed the fruit warily.

The white haired woman stared at the strange looking food on a plate, its bright pink flesh cut into neat cubes, making it look appetizing enough for the eyes.

Mrs. Tani used the fork to pick up a cube and brought it to her mouth, her hand steady and her grip tight as she shoved the cube inside her mouth.

As she bit down on the fruit, the sweet and tart flavours of the dragon fruit filled her mouth in an instant. The fruit was smooth and juicy, the flesh giving way easily under the pressure of the roof of her mouth and her tongue.

The taste was intense, the sweetness almost overwhelming, but it was also refreshing and satisfying.

She chewed slowly, savouring the flavour— the texture was soft and slightly chewy, with a slight grainy quality, and she could feel the tiny seeds popping under her teeth as she chewed.

The combination of sweet and tart was unique, making herself wanting more.

Despite using a fork, some of the juice of the dragon fruit still managed to dribble down Mrs. Tani’s chin, leaving sticky lines of sugary liquid on her skin.

The sweetness of the fruit must have been overwhelmingly good because she couldn’t help, but let out a small moan of pleasure at the taste.

Her eyes fluttered closed for a moment, enjoying the sensation before she quickly composed herself and reached out for another bite, convinced that she shouldn’t judge the fruit by its appearance.

Coco watched with mild amusement as Mrs. Tani ate the dragon fruit like there was no tomorrow, her excitement was evident by the way she reached for the fruit’s cube and quickly shoving it in her mouth, closing her eyes as she trembled slightly.

With the dragon fruit almost finished by the woman before her, Coco cleared her throat and smiled, "How was it, Mrs. Tani? Does it suit your taste?"

Mrs. Tani snapped out of her fruity daze when she heard Coco’s voice, her eyes went wide when she realized that she had eaten almost the entire fruit when Coco said that it was just a taste test.

"Oh, dear— I’m so sorry— I.. I didn’t mean— I mean, it was, uhm, so good, I just.." Mrs. Tani couldn’t form a proper sentence which made Coco smirk in victory.

Coco waved her hand dismissively and shook her head, "It’s okay, Mrs. Tani. You can eat the rest, I have more."

Mrs. Tani reluctantly nodded her head, piercing the fork through the dragon fruit’s flesh and brought it up to her mouth, chewing the fruit slowly, wanting to savour the unique taste.

"Now that you have tasted it, do you think this fruit would make people want it or not?" Coco asked, already knowing that dragon fruit doesn’t seem to exist in this world.

Based on Mrs. Tani’s first reaction, the look of confusion and surprise on her face, told Coco that she hadn’t seen anything like the dragon fruit despite being a merchant and as a merchant, that says a lot.

"It would." Mrs. Tani answered curtly and proceeded to eat the last bit of the dragon fruit, "If they’re willing to eat it without knowing the taste."

"Uhh.. No." Coco shook her head and started to tie the robe once more, "If you want to sell it, you will have to give them a free taste. Just cut the fruit in small cubes like what I did and have them eat it so they could taste it."

Mrs. Tank licked her lips, the sugary juice of the dragon fruit making her stomach growl for more, "You will supply me with fruits, is that what you’re implying, Mrs. Hughes?"

"Yes! That’s what we have been trying to do!" Lala said, her voice loud and dripping with excitement, already tired of the waiting game, "Tell her, Coco! Tell her that we will grow fruits if she would give you a share of what she sold!"

"If I did, how many percent would I get from you?" Coco asked, picking up the robe and placing it on her lap.

"Hmm.." Mrs. Tani placed her chin between her thumb and forefinger as she thought about it, "How does thirty five to forty percent per batch of what you give me?"

"Batch..? Well, if you’re willing to give me a large basket, I don’t care how big or large it is— just give it to me then I’ll come back with the basket filled with fruits." Coco smiled at Mrs. Tani, "A basket will be a batch for us, how does that sound?"

Mrs. Tani returned the smile, completely pleased with how the conversation went with Coco Hughes, "Sounds great, when would you start harvesting fruits?"

"I can start as soon as tomorrow." Coco shrugged, not really caring when they will start, but the sooner they start, the better, right?

"I’ll have the basket ready for you." Said Mrs. Tani.

"And I’ll have those oranges, kiwis, and grapes ready for that nobleman for you."
