Heiren had learned cooking at a young age and had grown to love it. He would find ways to cook breakfast, lunch, and dinner without making the dish mediocre for everyone.

He lost his ability to be creative with his food because of the accumulating debt and had to settle for the ones that are either bad or almost rotting.

Reading the quest over and over again, Coco made sure that the quest told her that she needed to pay for everything he needed to finish the quest to assure herself that she wasn’t tripping.

Okay, all I need to do is pay for them. Coco thought, nodding her head as she followed behind Quizen and Heiren.

She believes that out of all the quests of the husbands, Heiren’s quest is the easiest one so far— all she has to do is go shopping with him and pay for everything.

Coco walked through the streets of the village, the early morning sun casting long shadows on the streets and illuminating the beauty of everything around her, making her appreciate the morning tranquility a little.

The village market came to sight and she could see that it was just beginning to come to life, the first vendors setting up their stalls and vendors calling out to passing early morning bird customers— beckoning them to buy something from their stall.

The air was crisp and fresh, the scents of the goods on sale mixing with the scent of the forest surrounding the village.

Coco moved through the market while trailing behind her two husbands, her eyes scanning the display after display, her face expressionless as she looked over the goods.

She followed Heiren and Quizen as they stopped at a stall selling various fruits and vegetables, her gaze flickering with interest as she looked over the selection.

"What do you think they would love to have vegetables for breakfast?" Heiren asked the fourth husband as he picked up a ripe lemon, the fruit slightly hard and juicy in her hands, her fingers gently squeezing it to test its ripeness.

Heiren sniffed the fruit, the tip of his nose barely touching the skin and wrinkling with approval as the scent of the lemon filled his nostrils.

He placed the lemon back on the stand, his fingers moving to another good, his expression still puzzled as he examined the various options before her, not sure what to get for breakfast.

"What do you want to have for breakfast, wife?" Surprisingly, instead of answering Heiren’s question, he turned his head to Coco and asked her.

His question and action took Coco and Heiren aback.

"Why would you ask her—" Heiren whipped his head towards Quizen, but stopped his question when he saw the other mediator’s expression.

Quizen’s eyes were squinted into a glare, but there was a smile on his lips with a malicious glint in his gaze as he sent a silent warning to the second husband, making him immediately shut his mouth.

Quizen may be the fourth husband, but he can be really scary whenever he becomes serious.

Not only that, Quizen is much taller and muscular than Heiren, always on the hunt to do something in the pub whenever he’s not up on the stage and lifting things that other staff can’t lift.

Coco saw the exchange between the husbands and decided to diffuse the situation.

"Haha.. I don’t think stepping inside the house and having breakfast with all of you would be a good idea." Coco laughed nervously and scratched her cheek.

"What do you mean?" Quizen’s glare vanished and was replaced with a puzzled one.

"Let’s just buy everything Heiren will need, okay? Then we will have our breakfast. I promised to treat you to one, didn’t I?" Coco didn’t answer his question and turned away, pointing at the fruits.

"What do you want to get, Heiren? Do you want these fruits? How about these greens? Vegetables? Whatever it is, take what you want. I’ll pay for everything." Coco said, forcing a smile at Heiren’s way to silently assure him.

The owner of the stall could only watch Coco and her husbands interact with one another and stay quiet, not wanting to be on Coco Hughes’ bad side.

"Since you’ll be paying for everything." Heiren mumbled and started separating some vegetables from the batch, "I may as well get what I need to cook what I want for breakfast and lunch, right?"

Coco hummed softly and nodded her head, watching as the second husband picked a few cabbage, potatoes, carrots, eggplant, string beans— and a couple more, putting them to the side with the vendor scurrying to put everything in a bag.

However, Heiren wasn’t done.

After Coco paid for the vegetables, which were four gold coins, she was led to another vendor’s stall that was filled with nothing, but fruits.

Coco gripped the large bag in her left hand and she slipped her free hand inside her pocket, withdrawing four gold coins from her personal bank and waiting for Heiren to finish picking the fruits he wanted.

Oranges, bananas, and kiwis.

I could have brought home these fruits so we didn’t have to buy it from someone else. Coco thought, giving the vendor two gold coins and waited for the change.

But that would make Heiren upset because he would have to wait until the afternoon for the fruits. She added to her previous thought, sighing weakly through her nose as she accepted the five hundred silver coins from the vendor.

She picked up the basket from the floor and handed it to her left hand so now, she’s holding the fruit and vegetable baskets in one hand.

"Is this all you need, Heiren?" Coco asked, following Quizen and Heiren as they walked deeper into the market.
