Netori : I Built A Tavern For Cucks In Another World -
Chapter 10: Leonardo
Chapter 10: Leonardo
The distance steps of Chloe broke Ian out of his trance. He turned around to see Chloe coming toward him with a red wine bottle in her hand.
She put the old wine bottle in front of him and took three wine glasses from a nearby cupboard. She opened the cap of the bottle with a light tap and poured the wine into the glasses.
While she was doing that, Ian put his hand into the inventory panel and pulled the three cuck potions out of it.
He then opened the three small caps and poured the potions, one by one, into each glass. The content inside the glass was a liquid with no smell or color. It looked like water to the naked eye.
While he was pouring the cuck potion into the glasses, Chloe patiently waited without interrupting him. Ian strongly felt that she knew what he was doing instead of asking him what he was doing.
He poured all three potions into the glasses. After making sure they weren’t emanating any smell, he let Chloe take them away and followed behind her.
When they came near Leonardo’s table, he heard a part of the conversation they were having.
(Note = Helen is the blonde Milf.)
Theresa = "Why did you tell them our true Identity?"
Leonardo = "I had to show my gratitude to them in some way, and even if I didn’t tell them, they would have known one way or another."
Theresa = "...."
Helen = "Why is that?"
Theresa = "Because they are strong as hell, you idiot."
Helen = "Don’t call me an Idiot."
Theresa = "You are an idiot, though."
Helen = "...."
Leonardo = "Anyway we need their help to fight off that damned dragon."
Theresa = "Will they help?"
Leonardo = "...We have to make them help us in some way. If Miss Chloe won’t help us, I will ask Sir Ian for help."
Theresa = "The Bar owner? He is just a normal human."
Leonardo = "No, he isn’t. You haven’t felt it because you are a normal human, but I can feel it...He is strong beyond anything I have ever seen. Any of my skills or abilities don’t work on him. That has never happened before."
Theresa = "But I still trust them. This whole place is so weird. The tavern is bigger than it is on the outside, and these tables are made from weird, hard materials. The maid is a powerhouse even stronger than you...This place gives me the creeps."
Leonardo = "I know, honey, but right now, they are our only hope."
Chloe put the tray on the table, causing the three to stop their conversation and look at them. As soon as Leonardo’s eyes met Ian’s, a pleasant smile found its way to Leonardo’s face.
"Sir Ian, we were just talking about you, and I must say I am pretty impressed with your tavern. It is very...unique"
Ian replied with a smile and gestured toward the three wine glasses.
"It is my mother’s tavern, and I am only monitoring this for a couple of days. You should drink some wine, you must be tired from travelling all the way here on foot after getting attacked."
Leonardo took the glass from the tray and inhaled its aroma before tasting it. His two wives also followed his actions.
"It’s very delicious, sir Ian. I thank you for your hospitality. You not only saved us but also gave us a refreshing drink. You really are a good person, Sir Ian."
Ian waved his hand in front of his face and said.
"Ohh, it’s nothing to worry about. It’s only natural to help the king."
Leonardo shook his head while looking toward him and Chloe.
"No, that’s not true. You helped us before knowing our identity."
Ian scratched the back of his head while eyeing the half-full wine glasses.
"Well, that’s the way I like to live in this world. Humans should help each other in their time of need."
"Well said, Well said"
Leonardo said while sitting down and finishing his wine glass. A couple of seconds later, his wives also finished their drinks in the company of Ian and Chloe.
Chloe took the glass and went toward the bar counter in steady steps.
Ian started talking with Leonardo and found out that they intended to stay here for a couple of days.
He was about to ask them whether they wanted to see his tavern’s special room when Chloe’s voice whispered to him from behind.
"We have a problem."
Ian turned around with a frown on his face and looked at Chole’s nonchalant face.
"What is it?"
Chloe looked at the entrance of the tavern for a moment with her beautiful eyes.
"A siege breaker-level dragon is coming toward the tavern with a bunch of raven riders."
Ian’s eyes widened in surprise, and his heart started beating wildly. He spoke loudly without even thinking.
"What? A dragon is coming here?"
Leonardo snapped his head in Ian’s direction as soon as he heard what he said.
Oblivious to the sudden attention he was getting, Ian continued speaking in a high tone.
"What should we do then? I can’t go out of the tavern"
Ian said with a tense expression. It was normal for any human to be terrified of the siege breaker level dragon.
First of all, the creature is a dragon. No matter the level, a dragon is a fearsome creature. They are legendary class creatures who shook the entirety of Tasola multiple times. News of their cruel bloodbath during the dragon hunts and the demon war still haunted every human.
The second reason was the level of the dragon. Any creature of the General class is so powerful that the class has two nicknames attached to it.
During the expansion of the Red Empire, it was at war with multiple nearby kingdoms. In these times, the powerful General-level warriors would destroy the walls of the fortresses by themselves.
This causes the ongoing siege to stop and move in for the kill. Frequent similar events earned the people at the general level the "Siege breaker" title.
After a couple of years of calling them "The Siege Breakers", the level itself was named "Siege Breaker."
Another name was given to the General class when the tribes in the eastern mountain chain attacked the Eastern block-An alliance made of multiple eastern kingdoms.
Thousands upon thousands of general-level tribesmen calling themselves "warlords" descended upon the might of the Eastern block kingdoms. This war was so devastating that half of the Eastern Bloc kingdoms got destroyed to smithereens.
This turn of events earned the class, nickname "Warlord".
So, Ian was highly alerted when Chloe told him a Siege breaker level dragon was coming toward the tavern.
Nervously, Ian walked around the tavern, thinking about how to survive this turn of events.
That’s when he realized that he is invincible as long as he stays inside the tavern. At least that’s what Nyanthara has said.
In a normal situation, he would have doubted her at least a little bit, but he knew that was real, since they were truthful the last time-about reincarnating him.
He heaved a sigh of relief and turned toward Leonardo and his wife to calm them down.
But they weren’t calm. All of them looked at the entrance of the tavern with gritted teeth for a moment and looked at him.
"Sir Ian, the dragon you are talking about. Is it in Siege Breaker level?"
Ian frowned a moment before asking.
"Yes, why?"
All three of them bowed in unison and said.
"Sir Ian, miss Chloe, please kill that dragon."
Ian stayed silent for a moment.
"Why do you want it?"
Theresa snapped her head toward him with gritted teeth and clenched hands.
"Because it killed my child, my son, my eldest...son."
Theresa started crying heavily while hugging Helen tightly. The blonde woman embraced her into her bosom while patting her lightly on the head.
Leonardo also patted her for a moment before looking at Ian with a determined expression.
"Sir Ian, I beg you. Please kill that vile creature who took my son’s life. A person as powerful as you wouldn’t have to even lift a finger to kill it."
Ian stared at Leonardo in silence for a moment before looking at Chloe.
’It would be a wise thing to earn his favor. It might even help me in completing my quests.’
"Chloe, can you kill it?"
Chloe stayed silent for a moment before flashing a menacing, vicious grin.
"Of course, I can. Killing something as pitiful as that is a piece of cake for me."
Ian nodded his head at her and said.
"Then go and bring me its head."
Chloe smirked at him for a moment before walking toward the tavern entrance.
She muttered something under her breath while taking steady steps.
"I will show that pest what a real dragon looks like."
